Nowik, Anna January 2021 (has links)

Ek, Ida, Hornebrant, Erik January 2014 (has links)
Computers in various forms have come to carry a significant amount of relevant information for various forensic investigations. Therefore, detailed knowledge is required regarding how this data is best acquired. One type of client that has recently made its entry onto the commercial market is the Web Thin Client. As it is today, only a limited amount of relevant information can be found regarding in what capacity such a client contains data that is relevant to an IT-forensic investigation. For this reason, a Web thin client of the model Google Chromebook has been evaluated in this paper. The purpose of this examination has been to identify the vulnerabilities that currently exist, and if possible whether these can be used as a basis for a forensic investigation. To achieve this, the client's storage and communication patterns have been analyzed by implementation of experimental methodologies. The methods used for the purpose are penetration testing and an IT forensic investigation. Tests have also been performed to evaluate whether software for the Linux operating system can be executed on the client. The purpose of this was to determine whether the client's volatile memory can be extracted using tools created for Linux. The results presented in this paper demonstrate the fact that within a client of this type, valuable forensic information can be located. It is also established that Chrome OS from a user's perspective can be considered as safe.

OS Google Chrome - teorie a praxe / OS Google Chrome - theory and practice

Dorn, Michal January 2017 (has links)
Thesis deals with the operating system Google Chrome. First, the system is described (how it works, its user interface). Next there is a characteristic of applications that can be downloaded to the system and how they work. Another part is devoted to security, which consists of several elements. The end of the theoretical part is focused on Chromebooks - devices in which the operating system is sold on the market. The practical part is firstly characterized Dart programming language, which is then used for an application. This application shows not only work with the language, but also the benefits of Google Apps. It also shows compatibility with Windows and compares these two systems. In conclusion are described advantages and disadvantages of Chrome system and summarizes all knowledge arising from this work.

Matteappar- lek eller pedagogik? : En intervjustudie om hur lärare använder matteappar i undervisningen

Höglund, Thomas January 2022 (has links)

1:1 Digital devices and preparatory school teachers’ classroom practices

Dumas Kuchling, Janine January 2020 (has links)
In this study, the influence of a 1:1 digital device on South African preparatory school teachers’ perceptions regarding their classroom practices is described. The focus is on the Chromebook as an ‘artifact’ of learning. Digital technology is becoming prevalent in all education spheres and, subsequently, interest in this topic is growing. In order to create an environment where optimal learning takes place, teachers and pupils should adapt their learning and teaching methods to embrace the effects of technology. Teachers are at the forefront of education and education trends involving digital devices are becoming a reality across all grades. Qualitative research was conducted to gain insight into eight teachers’ perceptions on using a 1:1 digital device (the Chromebook) for teaching and learning in a private Gauteng school. The major findings were that teachers had to adapt their preparation, facilitation and assessment strategies to accommodate the use of the Chromebook in the classroom. This was mostly done successfully by the participants. The teachers realised that the Chromebook is a useful learning and teaching artifact or learning and teaching support material as a tool in the classroom. It enhances multimodal learning, encourages the inclusion of multiliteracies, and creates a third space of learning, where teachers and pupils cooperate in constructing new knowledge. A concern addressed by the teachers was that digital learning would have a negative impact on writing skills. They also stated that there should be a balance between technology and traditional teaching methods. The most important recommendations are that teachers should change their attitude and their preparation and implementation of lessons when using the digital device in the classroom. Teachers should realise that pupils whose parents have the financial means and who have access to trending technology, today’s digital natives, have instant access to information and this has changed the way learning takes place. Although new to some teachers, the use of digital devices is second nature for many pupils of the 21st century. Teachers should embrace opportunities for professional development so that the digital device can be effectively incorporated in the learning process in the classroom. / Dissertation (MEd)--University of Pretoria 2020. / pt2021 / Humanities Education / MEd / Unrestricted

OS Google Chrome - teorie a praxe / OS Google Chrome - theory and practice

Plecháč, David January 2017 (has links)
The thesis is focused on the characteristics of the key features of the operating system Google Chrome OS and on the evaluation of deployment of this operating system in practise. The theoretical part describes the purpose and philosophy of the commercial operating system Google Chrome OS and its relation with Chrome web browser. The connection with open-source projects Chromium and Chromium OS is explained. Details of application development and deployment options, in the form of virtualization and domain administration, are analysed. The practical part applies theoretical knowledge from the development of applications for Chrome OS to create thin client application for remote control of hardware sensor over the internet. This sensor is designed and built on the platform Arduino. The sensor measures the temperature and humidity of the ambient air and remote controls high-voltage switching relays. Communication over TCP/IP uses modern MQTT protocol, for which the server is configured with MQTT Broker Mosquitto. The next section demonstrates the procedure for building a customized build of Chromium OS from the publicly provided Google source codes. Based on the evaluation of the acquired theoretical and practical knowledge, I assess the possibility of deploying the Chrome OS in private and commercial areas.
