Valerio, Raphael Guazzelli. January 2011 (has links)
Nesta estrutura de funcionamento temos como paradigma de espaço político o campo de concentração / Abstract: It is intended to map the concept of biopolitics in the work of Italian philosopher Giorgio Agamben, specifically his work in 1995, Homo Sacer inaugurate the series, whose title bears the same name: Homo Sacer: Sovereign Power and Bare Life. Drawing on the thought of Michel Foucault and Hannah Arendt on the one hand, and Walter Benjamin and Carl Schmitt on the other, Agamben is the concept of biopolitics back the foundations of western politics. It should show how the structure, logic, topology and function animates the biopolitical relations policies since its foundation and that modernity was able to uncover, radically transforming political spaces contemporaries. It is known that this concept was coined by Foucault in his thinking and that it functions as a form of power, but it appears in Agamben centrally, something like a basic concept from which emerge four: homo sacer, sovereign power, status exception and a concentration camp. Modern politics by raising a permanent state of exception and produces a mere isolated life and takes to itself the right to manage it, we have this structure functioning as a paradigm of political space the concentration camp / Mestre

Linked to the examination of democracy makes us 'think the political' in a distinct perspective than the one referring to the political science and sociology fields. Fields in which the political is treated as something that can be understood starting from a previous and exhaustive knowledge about the social and political processes. Reflecting about the question of history and democracy means, in this sense, conceiving the distinction between political and the politics as something which takes us to a 'singular way' of relationship between men and the 'explicit power' in a society. This way implies, by its turn, the existence of a society in which the politics is acknowledged as an activity that may educate citizens while effective 'free and responsible' individuals.

January 2016 (has links)
This work emerges from restlessness to search the dialectic between art and politics, in the work of Herbert Marcuse. It is understood that the differences between aesthetics and politics assimilate changes along its philosophical journey; interests us because initially investigate the importance of dialectics and its power of negativity, whose concept is marked by Hegelian and Marxian roots. Given the understanding of the concept of negativity, the philosopher projects the need for transformation: both human subjectivity, as - and consequently - of society. Marcuse infers, subject to the aforesaid issue, which, through the rational development of technical and scientific apparatus, men consolidate the conditions for such changes; it is expected, however, those who are aware of that need, so that the mechanisms are applied in the plane of reality. The change in man-labor relationship, therefore, as well as the development of new awareness will enable the achievement of emancipation and, through this, it becomes real chance of transformation. / Mestre

Linguagem e política no pensamento de Avram Noam Chomsky /

Reis, Leonardo Borges. January 2010 (has links)
Assim, Chomsky propõe um princípio auto-realizador criativo, inerente à espécie / Abstract: The present work attempts to investigate the political conceptions of Noam Chomsky's philosophy of language. Through construction of human nature concept developed by the linguist (suggestive model), there is an important mediation between language and politics. Chomsky's methodology constitutes a vigorous effort to build a mediation of human action related to the socialism and to the freedom. The language linked to human knowledge reflects the essential properties of the spirit. The epistemological reflection raised by the analysis of language, despite its technical counterpoints, such as the linguistic science, feeds a philosophical range with ramifications in the fields of ethics, political philosophy and aesthetics, even coming to a social theory. Thus, Chomsky proposes a principle of creative self-realization as inherent to the species / Mestre

Aporias da justiça : entre Habermas e Rawls /

Quintanilha, Flávia Renata. January 2011 (has links)
In broaching the issue of justice and democracy, we draw upon John Rawls and Jürgen Habermas, philosophers appearing in an expressive way in the contemporary debate on these topics. John Rawls believes that the problem of democracy today lies in the difficulty in agreement on how the fundamental institutions of society should be organised in order to achieve respect for the freedom and equality of its citizens, in other words, how is it possible to reconcile the freedom and equality of moral people in order to equitably meet the existent public culture in the democracy to which they belong. Therefore, Rawls presents a theory of justice established on basic principles that will found a well-ordered society, thereby making it possible to achieve a system of equitable cooperation between its citizens. Habermas, who in his sense of justice also tries to resolve to some extent the same problems presented by the capitalist system, shares Rawls's ideas when it comes to their essential results, but does not abstain from critical considerations about fundamental points of Rawls's theory of justice. Through the analysis of the present political conception of justice, this dissertation aims at outlining the debate between both and expose the possible aporias arising from this discussion / Mestre

Genealogia e biopoder :

Sanches Junior, Carlos Alberto. January 2012 (has links)
A fim de destacar a importância das teses e princípios analíticos foucauldianos para um diagnóstico crítico do presente, serão apresentadas considerações e notas a partir da leitura de Giorgio Agamben e Peter Sloterdijk / Abstract: The years 1974 to 1976 are marked by the entry of neologisms biopower and biopolitics in the vocabulary of Michel Foucault. These terms emerges in a decisive moment in his genealogical analysis procedure: affected by critical readings of Nietzsche, he put into focus the multifaceted process by which, in modernity, the biological dimension of human life enters the calculations of a power that is exercised by microcapillary means. Scanned as "machine" or as "species", the subject's body becomes the point that concentrates the efforts of governmental rationalities and technologies. This paper seeks to map some of the methodological elements that allow the genealogical formulation of the problem of the relation between life and power. In order to idicate the importance of Foucault's theories and analytical principles for a critical diagnosis of actuallity, it shall present considerations and notes from the reading and analysis of works of Giorgio Agamben and Peter Sloterdijk / Mestre
