Jean Eustache : génétique et fabrique / Jean Eustache : genetics And Work

Sudoh, Kentaro 02 March 2016 (has links)
The dissertation conducts a genetic study of Jean Eustache’s work (1938-1981) as seen through his completed films as well as unfinished projects and drafts. In being based on archives, so far undeveloped (Cinémathèque française, Inathèque, IMEC and personal collections), carrying out interviews with his former producers, directors of photography, assistants, actors, collaborators, friends, or family, and in analyzing not only his movies but also his film scripts, director’s memos or production files, the dissertation reconstructs Eustache’s whole creative journey with its twists and turns. As analysis of creation, the method seeks to trace in the most documented manner possible the process that gave rise to Eustache’s œuvre. How are connected his everlasting autobiographical undertaking and the various conditions of productions? What has leaded him to produce the filmic manifesto Number Zero (1971)? How are The Mother and the Whore (1973) and My Little Loves (1974) produced almost simultaneously? How was born the idea for experimental film essays such as A Dirty Story (1977) or Alix’s Photos (1980)? How one can create originally within both the author cinema and Public Television? This doctoral study replies to these factual questions, which enable to clarify Jean Eustache’s aesthetic and cinematic specific choices.

No. of bitstreams: 1 2009_diss_CDdaRLIMA.pdf: 730198 bytes, checksum: f45d7236a21bf42d2a039f863381addc (MD5) Previous issue date: 2009 / The present dissertação has as objective generality to describe and to analyze the conditions of production, the general infrastructure and the enunciative mechanisms of reports of comment of lessons, but specifically we will go to describe and to analyze: the context of production (the physical world, the social world and the subjective world) of the reports of comment of lessons; the types of speech, the estrato general infrastructure, in the reports of comment of lessons; the modalities of planning of the thematic content, the estrato general infrastructure, in the reports of comment of lessons; the enunciative voices, of the estrato enunciative mechanisms, in the reports of comment of lessons. We analyze reports of comment of lesson produced by pupils of the course of Letters, of the Federal University of the Ceará you deliver to the end of disciplines of Practical Theory and of Education of Portuguese Language. For this, we anchor in perspective of Interacionismo sociodiscursivo proposal for Bronckart (2007) because we understand that all linguistic production is a situated social action, taken the effect for singular individuals in specific social formations. Results of the done analyses reveal us that for the agent-producers, the objective of the report is it of just to tell what happens at the classroom of Portuguese Language, forgetting that the most important is the reflections and the critics of the educational practice. We discovered that all of the reports of observation of classes are part of the world of the order of narrating, once a creation of a world discursive situável was observed, and as for the speech type we found the report interactive ea narration.

The integration of environmental and social dimension in urban practice in Algeria : issues and prospects

Bachar, Keira 10 June 2015 (has links)
Since 2001, the notion of sustainable development becomes one of the essential reference table in new political orientations and legislative framework in Algeria. Many urban improvement projects, housing and equipments, as well as important projects are launched, seeming to prove that the will of public authorities to improve living conditions of citizens isreal. However, the question remains as to the relevance and the coherence of choices, particulary regarding urban planning and built frame management, with the objectives of sustainable development witch taking into account not only the economic dimension, but also environmental and social ones. This work proposes, based on the observation of three cities contexts representing the three major geographical areas of the country (the coast, the highlands and the Sahara) to highlight the conditions of elaboration and production of urban planning in Algeria, particularly through two research areas: - The first one concerns harmonization between urban and natural environments, by analyzing the citie from its ecological situation, angle of understanding and study not really explored, which could provide opportunities for innovation and improvement in urban development. – The second one advocates research of housing and urban planning process including broader view ofmeaning for the term social, which can overtake standard model of housing for deprived social group, and move towards a concept improving the recognition of aspirations and social specifities of populations by promoting notions such as well-being, quality of lived spaces, or residential satisfaction.

Are We There Yet? Gay Representation in Contemporary Canadian Drama

Berto, Tony 16 August 2013 (has links)
This study acknowledges that historical antipathies towards gay men have marginalised their theatrical representation in the past. However, over the last century a change has occurred in the social location of gay men in Canada (from being marginalised to being included). Given these changes, questions arise as to whether staged representations of gay men are still marginalised today. Given antipathies towards homosexuality and homophobia may contribute to the how theatres determine the riskiness of productions, my investigation sought a correlation between financial risk in theatrical production and the marginalisation of gay representations on stage. Furthermore, given that gay sex itself, and its representation on stage, have been theorised as loci of antipathies to gayness, I investigate the relationship between the visibility and overtness of gay sex in a given play and the production of that play’s proximity to the mainstream. The study located four plays from across the spectrum of production conditions (from high to low financial risk) in BC. Analysis of these four plays shows general trends, not only in the plays’ constructions but also in the material conditions of their productions that indicate that gay representations become more overt, visible and sexually explicit when less financial risk was at stake. Various factors are identified – including the development of the script, the producing theatre, venue, and promotion of the production – that shape gay representation. The analysis reveals that historical theatrical practices, that have had the effect of marginalizing the representations of gays in the past, are still in place. These practices appear more prevalent the higher the financial risk of the production. / The author would like to sincerely thank Ann Wilson, Ric Knowles, Matthew Hayday, Alan Shepard, Sky Gilbert, Daniel MacIvor, Michael Lewis MacLennan, Conrad Alexandrowicz, Chris Grignard, Edward Roy, Brad Fraser, Cole J.
