Fri vilja eller tradition? : Prästrespektive i den prästerliga kulturen

Sivhed, Elna January 2014 (has links)
The purpose of the study was to investigate, using data from the sacerdotal culture, t h espouses of five priests. The main questions were: How does the priestly calling affect thespouse? Do the spouses involve themselves with voluntary work? Do the spouses feel thecongregation have expectations? Do the female and male answers differ? The sacerdotal culture has consisted of several elements. The main element is the priest’scalling for his work. As far as the spouse is concerned within the congregation, the spouseshave been seen as necessary for voluntary work. The congregation has also expected thespouse to act in a certain way and to undertake certain tasks. How the five informants feel about and react to the sacerdotal culture is focus for this study. The study shows that the sacerdotal culture is still strong today and it is something that thespouses take into account. They can choose not to participate but that might involve, forinstance, having to live somewhere else. The study found that the calling affects the femaleinformants, but not so much the males. The amount of participation varies from spouse tospouse and is a matter of their own choice. Expectations can also vary and participation inthe congregation can create higher expectations.

Dissipelskap as 'n bedieningsmodel vir gemeentebou aan die dooplidmate (13 tot 18 jaar) in die Gereformeerde Kerke in Suid–Afrika / Karel Petrus Steyn

Steyn, Karel Petrus January 2010 (has links)
The Church lives in times of change. In times of change Christ builds and equips his Church, through the Holy Spirit, to proclaim the gospel to the world and to make disciples. As part of the congregation, it is important to ask what the role of the youth and youth ministry plays in the building and equipment of the church, which Christ is busy doing. The aim of this dissertation is to examine the possibility that discipleship can be used as a model for ministry for congregation–building to the baptized members (13 to 18 years of age) of the Reformed Churches in South Africa. The following working method was used in order to reach this particular aim: * Firstly, a basis–theoretical investigation was conducted ascertaining the subject, object, aim and nature of congregation–building. * Secondly, a basis–theoretical investigation focused on discipleship was done. In this investigation the aim was to find a workable definition for 'disciple' and 'discipleship' as well as the aim and nature of discipleship. This investigation concluded by showing the relation between congregation–building and discipleship. * Thirdly, an empirical study was launched to determine the situation in the Reformed Churches in South Africa pertaining to youth and youth ministry. In this study the first priority was to determine the aim for youth ministry as determined by the Deputies for Catechesis and Youth nurture of the Reformed Churches in South Africa. The second priority is to determine the present tendencies under the youth in classis KwaZulu–Natal–North of the Reformed Churches in South Africa. The findings of this study were then weighed against the perception of the teachers of Catechesis in this particular classis. * Lastly, the findings of the basis–theoretical investigation and the empirical study was synthesised into a practical theory for discipleship as `n ministry model for church–building for the baptized members (13 to 18 years of age) in the Reformed Churches in South Africa. The finding of this study is that discipleship can indeed be applied as a ministry model for church–building for the baptized members (13 to 18 years of age) in the Reformed Churches in South Africa. Through this ministry model the baptized member can be equipped in a contextual–relevant manner to bring the gospel to the world, through his or her love for God to his or her neighbour, as a member of the faith community of the church. / Thesis (M. Die plaaslike missionêre gemeente in transformasie - met besondere verwysing na die kleingroep as voertuig vir die bevordering van koinonia (Afrikaans)

Olivier, Hermanus Bernardus 18 May 2005 (has links)
We live in a world that is broken by sin, where the only permanent thing is change. The cause of man’s sin was that the koinonia relationship between man and God had been severed. After Adam and Eve feel into sin, a spiritual darkness in the history of man began. Man was unable to rebuild the communication and relationship that he had with God. God came through the calling of Abram (Abraham) to restore some of the koinonia relationship we need. In the New Testament, Jesus came and restored the way to God, but something is still missing. This koinonia relationship will only be totally fulfilled when Jesus comes again to take us home. God’s instrument to experience true koinonia is the church. The koinonia that was lost and restored in Jesus. The church of today has lost some of the koinonia that the first church experienced, by becoming program orientated. The church is at this moment in a transformation process, where it is rediscovering the importance of being a mission-minded balanced loving community that is experiencing koinonia in relationships. The small group is thé vehicle that could help the church rediscover the koinonia, which people and the world need. This will only become true when we have a broader insight of the small group ministry in a local missionary-minded community (congregation). The small groups ministry is not a tool to use. You start a small group ministry in your local congregation because this is the way you were created. To truly understand the local church and the way we were created, we need to look back. We need to look back to creation, and how God created us, and to remind us of the Triune God’s, Father, Son and Spirit’s functioning in community. Only when the church realizes again that we are created in God’s image, will we look at our mission responsibilities and not-yet-believers in a new way. Namely, God’s way. / Thesis (DD (Theology))--University of Pretoria, 2006. / Science of Religion and Missiology / unrestricted

A Workbook to Promote Forgiveness for Ingroup Congregational Offenses

Greer, Chelsea 09 May 2013 (has links)
Since research on forgiveness has flourished over the past three decades, multiple interventions have been developed to aid individuals in this arduous process. Two interventions in particular have been most-widely studied with diverse groups: Enright’s process model (Enright & Fitzgibbons, 2000) and Worthington’s REACH Forgiveness model (2006). Thus far, these forgiveness interventions have been led by trained professionals in an in-person group. In-person interventions pose issues of cost and attendance. In the current study, I adapted Worthington’s Christian-adapted REACH Forgiveness intervention into a self-directed workbook for Christians who have experienced an offense within a religious community. Participants (N = 52) voluntarily completed the workbook for partial course credit, taking an average of 6.66 hours of time, and assessments at three time points. I found a significant treatment condition x time interaction, Wilks’ ë = .31, F(6,31) = 11.57, p < .001, partial ç² = .69, which indicates that the effect of time depended upon the treatment condition to which participants were assigned. In addition, the current study produced a larger effect size comparable to benchmarks of previous in-person REACH Forgiveness interventions (d = 1.63), and fell within the upper limit of the standard of change. The current findings encourage further analysis of this self-directed intervention which is cost-effective, easily disseminated, and found effective in this initial study.

A CONGREGAÇÃO SÃO PEDRO AD VINCULA EM MARA ROSA GO (1961-1995): MEMÓRIAS E REPRESENTAÇÕES

Araujo, Romilda Alves da Silva 06 May 2011 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2016-08-10T10:34:41Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 ROMILDA ALVES DA SILVA ARAUJO.pdf: 5905150 bytes, checksum: f2234b74781e4ed69c39fc865a66d867 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2011-05-06 / The research purpose was to analyze the Congregation of São Pedro Ad Vincula trajectory in Mara Rosa-GO, which icon is the Priest Lorenzo Martinez Arias. This priest came to the town of Mara Rosa in 1961 to take on the Santo Antônio de Pádua Parish (in Amaro Leite), remaining in the position of vicar until his death, in 1995. It is worth noting that we searched on Priest Lorenzo s mailing, the representations built by him around the people and place, as well as around himself, his priesthood and the role he exercised. The sources used on the research were: the data collection entitled Priest Lorenzo s writings , documents that belong to the book tumble in the Santo Antônio Parish in Mara Rosa. We also used two small books about the congregation history written by Ad Vincula priests. Another source was the Congregation blog in Brazil. The results we reached made it possible to apprehend that priest Lorenzo extended his role as the São Pedro Ad Vincula Congregation missionary beyond the religious field. He exercised other activities as vicar. He was also near the local politics, offering support and incentive on the realizations and projects that could bring benefits to town and its people. And, at the same time, he was analyzing, arguing and, sometimes, criticizing the government actions. He also appears involved on education. Firstly, on the Congregation School and, after, on the public service as the Colégio Estadual Presidente Castelo Branco principal. We concluded that the priest s realizations are fruit of his comprehension on the role he had to fulfill as a missionary, regarding his congregation: sacrifice himself for it. Which means, make it prosper in relation to the local people, bring them some civility and make them participants of the Catholic Church. In the end, the dedication with which he fulfills his mission can be understood as a consequence of the representations he made about himself, and of its salvific mission: the congregation itself and its souls / O objetivo desta pesquisa foi analisar a trajetória da Congregação de São Pedro Ad Vincula em Mara Rosa GO, cujo ícone é o Pe. Lorenzo Martinez Arias.
