Elaboración de una biblioteca de comunicación en tiempo real entre dispositivos Smart TV LG WebOS y Android para el desarrollo de un videojuego retro / Implementation of a real time communication library between smart tv devices and Android devices based on WebSocket for the development of applications

Gabriel Caycho, Gian Franco Michael, Blas Perez, Miguel Angel 25 November 2020 (has links)
The smart device industry has grown in recent years, so a vast majority of people have a Smart TV and at least one smartphone in their homes. The transformation of the digital age seeks to improve the user experience and facilitate the use of different smart devices. However, its interactive use as a whole has not been fully exploited, because there is no tool to facilitate this work. This document will validate the proposal to create a communication library that allows multiple Android devices to be connected to an LG WebOS Smart TV and in this way promote the development of applications for Smart TVs, avoiding a deployment from scratch and speeding up the deployment of new applications. that generate great value for users. The validation of the project will be carried out by applying a research methodology that will allow the start and subsequent development of the project. / Trabajo de investigación

Trygghet är ju det viktigaste, alltså a och o : En kvalitativ studie om hur förskollärare resonerar om och arbetar med trygghet i förskolan

Hemmingsson, Alicia, Jogestål, Sebastian January 2022 (has links)
The purpose of the study was to investigate how preschool teachers reason about children's safety and how they work to promote safety in preschool. Previous research has shown, among other things, that children's safety in preschool is important for children to be able to develop further. It has emerged that the role of educators is important because they are the ones who have overall responsibility for children's care, play and learning in preschool. Our study was based on a qualitative method because we interviewed eight preschool teachers about how they viewed children's safety in preschool. The collected empirical data has made visible the preschool teachers' thoughts and work on security. The results showed that the preschool teachers worked with security in different ways, and that they think security is important in the preschool for children's continued learning.

Power control strategies for renewable energy systems : The inverter's role in future power systems

Anttila, Sara January 2020 (has links)
Connecting more non-dispatchable renewable energy sources (RESs) will result in a higher power variability and a lower system inertia when the synchronous generators are replaced by inverter-connected RES. Inverter control can be divided in three categories: grid-following, grid-forming (GFM) and grid-supporting. A literature review of inverter control strategies identifies the GFM control as having an important role in maintaining system stability assuming near 100 % inverter-connected RES. Critical aspects of the inverter control are also identified; the control need to function autonomously, be able to remain connected during transient events and be insensitive to grid topology. Combining various RES is also shown to improve system stability. The combination of RES that has been investigated in most studies is wind, solar and wave power. Wave power is still a young technology compared to solar and wind power. It generates higher power fluctuations over short time periods with a significant difference between average and maximum power. Additionally, wave power parks (WPPs) are often connected via long cables which contribute reactive power to the grid. These challenges has to be considered to maintain system stability and power quality when connecting a WPP to the grid. In a Power Hardware-In-the-Loop study of how a WPP affects the power quality at the point of common coupling (PCC), it is found that the impact is highest for WPPs with fewer generators as the variability is reduced when several generators are excited at different times. Energy storage is also shown to have a significant impact on the power quality at the PCC with reduced flicker, total harmonic distortion and power and voltage variability. A simulation study also shows the positive impact of energy storage on power variability and the role of inverter control in reactive power compensation.

Connection Problem for Painlevé Tau Functions

Prokhorov, Andrei 08 1900 (has links)
Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) / We derive the differential identities for isomonodromic tau functions, describing their monodromy dependence. For Painlev´e equations we obtain them from the relation of tau function to classical action which is a consequence of quasihomogeneity of corresponding Hamiltonians. We use these identities to solve the connection problem for generic solution of Painlev´e-III(D8) equation, and homogeneous Painlev´e-II equation. We formulate conjectures on Hamiltonian and symplectic structure of general isomonodromic deformations we obtained during our studies and check them for Painlev´e equations.

Prekonavani barier / Overcoming the barriers

Kudelová, Barbora January 2017 (has links)
Showing the barriers in the city, which inhibit a human in its movement along the landscape. Bunch of barriers at one place can signify a problem for a human to overcome. Marking these places is also showed below the prize map which illustrates from the economic point of view the problem exists at that place and the place is not that permeable as it should be. After marking the problematic spaces and their overlook in the real world there follows a choice of one place and its particular solution. Verifying the reasons why overcoming especially this place, what are the reasons for connecting it, analysing the areas on both sides, pointing out the place of connection and the way to solve the pedestrian bridge and finding the conceptual principle which is the support for the construction principle.

Vize pro SVIT / Vision for SVIT

Zemánková, Jasna Unknown Date (has links)
The SVIT tannery complex in Velké Meziříčí was demolished in 2008. Since then the area that is next to the Balinka river and close to the historic city center has no use. The thesis analyses the characteristics of the place, solves the connection to the surroundings, defines possible functional use and describes the vision for the complex. The aim of the thesis is to propose one of the buildings (library) in the complex in detail. The work could be used as a topic for a public discussion about the development of the territory for the inhabitants and municipal council of Velké Meziříčí.

Human Connection as a Treatment for Addiction

Clements, Andrea D., Unterrainer, Human-Friedrich, Cook, Christopher C.H. 01 January 2023 (has links) (PDF)
Research supports that social connection is important in both humans and animals. In humans, having a cohesive support/social network system and healthy attachments in childhood predict low risk of later addiction (i.e. substance use disorder), as does perceived support from a religious or other cohesive community. Moreover, personal characteristics such as identifying as religious or spiritual can predict low risk for addiction, but little is known about the intersection of neuroscience and religion/spirituality in this regard. Conversely, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) have repeatedly been shown to predict later addiction. However, the role of the body’s neuro-hormonal responses, such as the endogenous opioid and oxytocin systems in this process merits further exploration, such as how the production or deprivation of endogenous opioids impact later substance use patterns. Existing research also provides evidence that individuals decrease pursuit of interpersonal connections and social bonds when they use substances that activate opioid receptors. This has been found with both substances of abuse and medications used to treat addiction (e.g., methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone). Research has also demonstrated that addiction often results in situations of social isolation. However, it remains to be elucidated whether the substances of abuse physiologically meet that need for connection. Importantly, research across numerous fields indicates that intentionally increasing interpersonal connection may be an effective treatment for addiction. However, less is known about how specific characteristics of communities impact the quantity, quality, or effectiveness of care and support for a person with addiction [...] / https://dc.etsu.edu/etsu_books/1292/thumbnail.jpg
