Design And Thermo-mechanical Analysis Of Warm Forging Process And Dies

Forging temperature is one of the basic considerations in forging processes. In warm forging, the metals are forged at temperatures about the recrystallization temperature and below the traditional hot forging temperature. Warm forging has many advantages when compared to hot and cold forging. Accuracy and surface finish of the parts is improved compared to hot forging while ductility is increased and forming loads are reduced when compared to cold forging. In this study, forging process of a part which is currently produced at the hot forging temperature range and which needs some improvements in accuracy, material usage and energy concepts, is analyzed. The forging process sequence design with a new preform design for the particular part is proposed in warm forging temperature range and the proposed process is simulated using Finite Element Method. In the simulations, coupled thermal mechanical analyses are performed and the dies are modeled as deformable bodies to execute die stress analysis. Experimental study is also carried out in METU-BILTIR Center Forging Research and Application Laboratory and it has been observed that numerical and experimental results are in good agreement. In the study, material wastage is reduced by proposing using of a square cross section billet instead of a circular one, energy saving and better accuracy in part dimensions is achieved by reducing the forging temperature from the hot forging to the warm forging temperature range.

In der Magisterarbeit wird der Einfluss der Strafenpraxis auf die Einstellungen zur Kindererziehung analysiert. Man versucht zu erschließen, wie die in der Kindheit erlittenen Strafen die Meinung eines jungen Menschen zum Thema Strafen in der Familie beeinflussen. Im ersten Teil der Arbeit werden theoretische Aspekte der Strafen, die Strafenauffassung von verschiedenen Autoren, die auf diesem Gebiet durchgeführten wissenschaftlichen Untersuchungen, die Einteilung der Strafen, ihre Anwendungsbedingungen u.a. vorgestellt. Durch die Analyse der wissenschaftlichen Literatur wird versucht, den Einfluss der körperlichen und verbalen Strafen auf die Persönlichkeit eines Kindes zu erschließen. In Anlehnung an die analysierte wissenschaftliche Literatur wird das theoretisch- hypothetische Modell konstruiert, wie die erlebten Strafen die Einstellungen zur Strafenanwendung beeinflussen. Im zweiten Teil der Magisterarbeit wird eine Untersuchung vorgestellt, welche persönlichen Erfahrungen die Schüler der oberen Klassen mit familialen Strafen und welche Einstellungen sie zu den Strafen in der Familie haben. An der Untersuchung haben 322 Respondenten teilgenommen. Man formuliert eine Schlussfolgerung- die Hypothese darüber, dass ein junger Mensch in seiner eigenen Familie von demselben Strafenmodell, das er als Kind erlebt hat, ausgeht, hat sich als richtig erwiesen.

Suas estratégias narrativas nos levam a questionar o porquê dos membros dessa categoria literária testemunhal usarem conscientemente seus escritos para pensar, entre tantas outras questões, por que uma Europa que, mesmo reunificada, é marcada pelo pavor da lembrança causada pelos monumentos ao holocausto e como o testemunho leva em seu âmago um topos ambíguo, uma verdade lacunar que o constitui. Essa é a impotência da linguagem que conhecemos para narrar o ocorrido, uma força representativa necessária e impossível ao mesmo tempo, uma potência que toma força na própria impotência para contar uma violência inaudita. Testemunhar em nome dos que morreram, seria além de uma exigência ética ambígua, uma reconciliação com a própria culpa por haver sobrevivido, e, portanto, eis a necessidade de estratégias específicas de escrita.

The thesis deals with the design of technology for production of wheels to be manufactured by die forging 15 142 low-alloy steel at an amount of 500,000 items per year. Based on a consideration of the suitable methods of manufacture, die forging on a Jing Duann FP-1600G vertical forging press was chosen as the best, as documented by the necessary technological and design drawings. A die with inserts made of 19 552 steel was designed for this machine. In view of the volume of annual production, a fully automated workplace was designed consisting of three robots and a chain and pan conveyor. In the conclusion there was a technical-economic evaluation of costs for the material of the semi-finished products and price of dies for annual production.

The project conceived within engineer’s studies of branch 2303T002 is subbmitting a proposal for radial bearing cage produce technology. It is also subbmitting a design solution to functional parts for blanking the “windows” and coining the “locks”. The cage will be made from sheet steel 11 300.29. This cage should replace the current one machined from the brass Ms 58 Al. According to the literary research and development experiences of the company ZKL Brno, a.s., two pairs of tools were designed. First one for blanking the “windows” and second one for coining the “locks”. Blanking punch, blanking die and coining punch will be made from the steel 19436, coining die will be made from the steel 19312. Heat-treating process will be accomplished according to the enclosed drawings. Both pairs of tools will be mounted in the press LENR 63 AU (manufactured by the company ŠMERAL Trnava), with nominal force 630 kN.

TICHÝ Pavel: Production of a holder body by solid forming. A Graduation Thesis of Master´s Studies, the 5th Year of Study, the School-year 2008/2009, FSI VUT Brno, Department of Machining, May 2009, Pages No. 80, Appendixes No. 9. The Graduation Thesis, elaborated in the framework of engineering studies, presents the technology of a body holder production carried out by solid forming. The material of the forged piece is steel Ck55 (12 060), the semi-finished product is of the 65 and its length is 12m. A yearly production is 122 000 pieces. Based on the studies of possible production technologies, the technology of production by die forging has been chosen, while a drop forging technology on a hammer HO630 and product-trim on a trimming press S160 have been used. For this option, the required technological calculations, the design of the die, the specification of production machines, which are necessary for forging process realization, have been carried out. An inspection of the propose forging by a private forge and a change in the geometry of the die have been carried out. A part of the study is a simulation forming process which is made in the software QFORM.

L’étude de ce mémoire concerne l’élaboration d'un alliage alternatif sans plomb pour l’électronique de puissance, celui-ci sera utilisé à des fins de brasures. Les brasures actuelles sont composées d’alliages comportant du plombet sont peu résistantes en cas de travail à haute température. Ces systèmes seront progressivement éliminés, ils ne respectent plus la Directive Européenne sur l’environnement (RoHS) et les normes de santé publique en raison de la toxicité du plomb (cancérogène, mutagène, accumulation dans l’environnement …). Le travail a été réalisé avec l’alliage Ag-Sn, l’objectif principal de cette thèse a été d’élaborer le composé Ag3Sn, en raison de sa grande résistance thermique (température de fusion élevée de 480°C). Ses meilleures performances sont avantageuses pour les brasures situées dans des environnements difficiles comme l’aéronautique ou l’automobile. La première partie de ce manuscrit détaille la synthèse du composé Ag3Sn réalisée via la méthode polyol, une voie de chimie douce. Il s’agit d’une technique différente des techniques classiques, comme la voie métallurgique. La synthèse a été réalisée en plusieurs étapes et une méthode d’approches successives a été utilisée afin de déterminer les paramètres de synthèse optimums.Deux protocoles particuliers se détachent et ils permettent d’élaborer des phases résistantes à haute température. Lepremier permet d’élaborer une phase pure d' Ag3Sn, tandis que le second permet d’élaborer deux phases de solutionssolides. Les composés ont été caractérisés par DRX, par imagerie MEB-FEG et MET et par analyse thermogravimétrique.La seconde partie de ce travail est la consolidation de ce composé Ag3Sn par une technique de frittage particulière :le die-bonding, afin de réaliser la connexion entre la puce électronique et un susbtrat de cuivre recouvert d'argent.Une étape de dépôt des poudres sur le substrat a été nécessaire avant de réaliser la consolidation, elle a été réalisée selon différentes techniques : le spin-coating ou le dépôt par sérigraphie. Puis, les paramètres de frittage par die-bonding ont été affinés selon les techniques de dépôt. Enfin, des essais de cisaillement ont été réalisés sur certains échantillons. / The study of this memoir concerns the development of an alternative lead-free alloy for power electronics, which will be used for solders. Nowadays, current solders are composed of alloys containing lead, and aren't resistant at high work temperature. These systems will be phased out, because they no longer comply with the European RoHS Directive and public health standards due to the toxicity of lead (carcinogenic, mutagenic, accumulation in the environment, etc.). This work was carried out with the Ag-Sn alloy, and the main objective was to develop the elaboration of the Ag3Sn compound, due to its high thermal resistance (high melting point of 480°C). Its best performance is an advantage for solders located in difficult work environments such as aeronautics or automobile. First part of this thesis describes the synthesis of Ag3Sn compound with the polyol process, a soft-chemistry routine. It is different from the conventional techniques, like the metallurgical way. Polyol synthesis was realized by following several steps. A method of successive approaches wasdetermine optimum synthesis parameters. Two specific protocols stand out, and they allow the development of high-temperature resistant phases. The first one allows the elaboration of an Ag3Sn pure phase, an the second one allows the development of two compounds of solid solutions. The compounds were characterized by XRD, FEG-SEM, TEM and thermogravimetric analysis. The second part of this work is the consolidation of the Ag3Sn compound with a special sintering technique : the die-bonding, in order to realize the connexion between the electronic chip and the copper substrate coated silver. A first step of depositing powder on the substrate was necessary before carrying out the implementation. It was carried out with various techniques : spin-coating orthe serigraphy deposition. Then, sintering parameters were refined according to the deposition techniques. Finally, shear tests were performed on different samples
