Nadia Maria dos Santos Hommerding 10 August 2007 (has links)
Digital libraries are extremely complex information systems, which support the creation, management and preservation of information resources. Although recognized as important, at least in theory, digital library evaluation is not common and is not generally associated with digital library projects planning. In this research, we have tried to present some of the models, techniques, and methodologies available in literature, specifically Saracevics approach, that have been applied, with positive results, and can be applied for benchmarking in similar environments. Also, the problem of lack of culture of assessment in digital libraries is another topic of this thesis. The main goal of this research is showing the positive aspects and results of digital library evaluation, as well as to demonstrate to managers and professionals involved with the subject the importance of providing a favourable environment for evaluation activities.

Caraschi, Luís Carlos 29 March 1999 (has links)
In the intention of transforming systems of conventional angiography in systems of digital subtraction with angiography three methods of digital subtraction were implemented, digital subtraction for complement of a, subtraction for comparison 1 and digital subtraction for comparison 2 two processing methods: threshold and equalize for application in systems angiographycs (DSA). Friends & Travel

Alarcón Zelaya, Eddy, Canchanya Flores, Fredy Manuel, Corbalán Rodríguez, Raquel, Noriega Revoredo, Roxana Francesca 05 1900 (has links)
Today, various tourism companies seek to differentiate between them, develop all kinds of strategies that allow them to attract more customers and build loyalty. In this market, there are already several companies that chose to be digital due to their target audience and the time in which we live, but few provide a digital service, a service that suits the needs or wishes of the client. For this reason, in this work we chose to develop a digital platform that provides tourists with a 100% personalized service. Given the tourism boom in Peru and the passion of each one of us to travel, we chose to create Friends & Travel, a company that wants to connect travelers from all over the world with people who can help or advise them with the planning of their trip to Know their destination better and live a unique and different experience. The results of this work demonstrate how tourism is an important source of development in our country, so creating new business models in the sector must be successful. Traditional tourism agencies or international digital platform such as Booking or TripAdvisor should not be the only companies that provide the necessary information to each tourist, there must be other means with a personalized service that helps them to program their adventures and trips. / Trabajo de investigación

Completely Anonymous Buyer-Seller Watermarking Protocols

Chen, Ming-Te 25 July 2005 (has links)
Digital watermarking is one of the most popular technologies for protecting the ownerships of digital contents or products. By embedding digital watermarks into digital contents, the owners of the contents can convince the judge or the trusted third party of their ownership of the contents. However, some attacks, such as the binding attacks and the men-in-the-middle attacks, are threatening the security of the watermarking mechanisms. Moreover, that the privacy of content buyers is not fully protected or the dispute between the buyers and the sellers cannot be fairly resolved also reduce the quality of the services. Although several buyer-seller watermarking protocols have been introduced in the literature, none can cope with all of the above problems. In this thesis, we will propose a novel buyer-seller watermarking protocol that can resolve the dispute between the buyers and the sellers fairly. Furthermore, not only is the proposed protocol immune to all of the known attacks, but it is truly buyer anonymous as well.
