Formalisation de la démarche de conception d'un système de production mobile : intégration des concepts de mobilité et de reconfigurabilité / Formalisation of a mobile manufacturing system design approach : integration of mobility and reconfigurability concepts

Benama, Youssef 12 February 2016 (has links)
In this thesis we analyse how the concept of mobility can be taken into account in the analysis and design of production systems. Our contribution aims to formalize the analysis and design process, explaining the decisions, the necessary information and decision criteria to be taken into account. For this purpose, two levels of analysis were distinguished: a local level concerning one production site and a global level including a set of sites. The first level considers one production site. At this level we have proposed an approach that takes into account the characteristics of the production site. In our context, the choice of the geographical location of production is imposed by the final client. Therefore, the design of the production system should be adapted to this constraint. From a design perspective, four questions are addressed: (1) To what extent the concept of mobility can be integrated into a mobile production system design approach? (2) What characteristics of the production environment must be taken into account? (3) How to determine what to produce on site or that it would be appropriate to outsource? And (4) taking into account all obtained information what is the best configuration of the mobile production system to consider and according towhich criteria? The answer to these questions led to the proposal of a configuration of SPM suitable for a single production site. The second Level of analysis addresses the problem of global mobility. In order to be profitable, the production system must be used on several production locations. every change of production location led to a need of reconfiguration of the Production System. Reconfigurability Concerns the internal architecture of the system (machine selection, recruitment News local teams, etc.) as well as the organization of the SPM supply chain. Fot this global level, we propose two analytical models: (1) the first model for the analysis of internal reconfigurability. This analysis model is used to adapt the number of production lines and the number of teams according to a production scenario (Geographical locations, necessary capacity per site). The originality of our proposal consists on the assessment of costs to support reconfiguration and the appreciation the convenience level with the context of the production site by using the mobility indicator. (2) Second model to analyse Concerns reconfigurability of the upstream supply chain of PMS. It Consists in June adaptation of the model using the decision "to do ou do" by integrating A side of the importance of the production site and another side Specifics Each of the production site. The proposed approach is illustrated on an industrial case concerning the design of a mobile manufacturing plant used to produce in-site and Install components of solar plant

The notion of economic evidence : an essay on interactions between law and economics in French and European public law

Rassafi-Guibal, Hicham 09 June 2016 (has links)
The economic evidence is a complex subject just at the confront of Law and Economics. It plays a role of dialogue between these two fields. As a subject of the legal system, it appears when an economic analysis is necessary fulfilling the Law, it substitues legal reasoning for economic analysis. However, it questions how deep is the subjection of law facing economics. More precisely, it questions how Law and Economics uses each other. The economic evidence is a tool for conciliation between ends and purposes of Laws and requirements of economic thought and necessities of economic game. It is to the Administrative authority to fulfill the conciliation, under the constant review of the judge. The administrative law context has a great influence on the way different requirements are combined.

Modèle simplifié de changement de phase en présence de convection et rayonnement : application à un mur translucide associant superisolation et stockage d'énergie thermiques / Development of a simplified model for phase change in presence of natural convection and radiation : application to a novel heat storage translucent superinsulated wall

Souayfane, Farah 26 November 2018 (has links)
This thesis aims to study the exploitation of solar radiation thanks to a new concept of passive sensor wall. In this context, the thermal behavior of a novel semi-transparent solar wall has been studied. The wall is composed of glazing, silica aerogel (TIM) and glass bricks filled with fatty acids (PCM). This wall provides storage and restitution of heat, thermal-acoustic insulation and daylighting. The thermal performance of the TIM-PCM wall is tested in a full-sized test cell located in Sophia, PERSEE center. In winter, particularly in sunny cold days, the PCM absorbs solar radiation, melts, and then releases the stored heat to the building at night. During summer, overheating is encountered, the PCM remains in its liquid state and is unable to release the stored heat. A simplified model for PCM melting in presence of natural convection and radiation is developed and validated using a CFD model, and benchmark solutions. Then, a numerical model describing the heat transfer mechanisms through the wall is developed. This model is linked to TRNSYS to assess the thermal performance of the whole building. The MATLAB-TRNSYS model is then validated experimentally. The thermal behavior of the wall is tested under different climates, and passive solutions are proposed to ensure thermal comfort in summer. Finally, the validated model is used to study the annual thermal behavior of a building integrating TIM-PCM wall and an economic study is conducted. These studies confirm the interest of the wall vis-à-vis the improvement of energy performance of the building. The economic feasibility of applying the TIM-PCM wall depends mainly on climate, energy costs, and investment cost.

Prevention regulations on major financial fraud-discussing on deprivation proceeds of crime

LIN, Chao Hung Unknown Date (has links)
Political and economic changes, incomplete of corporate governance, and imbalance of external supervision mechanism are all reasons for occurrence of major financial fraud. The losses and costs of major financial fraud, in general, are always enormous. Unfortunately, most people, instead of offenders, need to bear the huge losses. As a result, except the strategy of severe punishment, the idea and regulations on deprivation proceeds of crime were introduced to combat these problems in 2004. However, after a period of practicing, how about the application and practice of regulations on deprivation proceeds of crime is. Therefore, we are concerned about: are there any problems or difficulties resulting from criminal legal system and the practice of precedent itself? What we can learn from international conventions and other countries’ similar legal system? The thesis, first of all, attempts to figure out the feature of major financial fraud and the changes of financial regulations. Secondly, we try to explore the history of regulations on deprivation proceeds of crime, the definition and the calculation of proceeds of crime, and whether the regulations on deprivation proceeds of crime are essential for preventing and against major financial fraud or not. Meanwhile, in order to guarantee and protect the fundamental rights of people, we also hope to exam the regulations on deprivation proceeds of crime by the concepts of constitution. In additions, according to the case study, the thesis also longs for exploring what are the practical problems and dilemmas for current regulations on temporary seizure and final forfeiture procedures. At the same time, comparing with the international conventions and other countries’ similar legal system on laundering, search, freeze, seizure and confiscation of the proceeds from crime is also important and useful for this study. Finally, after concluding the relative problems and debates about this topic, of course, the paper hopes to propose a possible approach or legal amendment by integrating legal system modification, legal practice, and foreign legal system.

Pharmacist interventions in depressed patients

Rubio Valera, Maria 09 November 2012 (has links)
1) Objectives: - To systematically evaluate the effectiveness of pharmacist care compared with usual care (UC) on improving adherence to antidepressants in depressed outpatients. - To evaluate the effectiveness and cost‐effectiveness of a community pharmacist intervention (CPI) compared to UC in the improvement of adherence to antidepressants and patient wellbeing in a primary care population initiating treatment with antidepressants. 2) Methods: A systematic review and meta‐analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that evaluated the impact of pharmacist interventions on improving adherence to antidepressants was conducted. RCTs were identified through electronic databases and manual search. Methodological quality was assessed and methodological details and outcomes were extracted in duplicate. A RCT comparing patients with depressive disorder receiving a low intensity CPI (87) with patients receiving UC (92) was performed in Barcelona. The intervention consisted of an educational programme focused on improving knowledge about medication, improving patients’ compliance and reducing stigma. Measurements took place at baseline, 3 and 6 months. Adherence was continuously registered from the computerized pharmacy records. Secondary outcomes included clinical severity of depression (PHQ‐9), health‐related quality of life (HRQOL) (EuroQol‐5D) and satisfaction with the treatment received. Direct and indirect costs were assessed using the Client Service Receipt Inventory. Unit costs were derived from official local sources. Quality‐Adjusted Life‐Years (QALYs) were calculated using the EuroQol‐5D Spanish tariffs. 3) Results: Six RCTs were identified in the systematic review; most of them were conducted in the USA. A total of 887 depressed patients who were initiating or maintaining treatment with antidepressants and who received pharmacist care (459 patients) or UC (428 patients) were included in the review. The most commonly reported interventions were patient education and monitoring, monitoring and management of toxicity and side effects and compliance promotion. Overall, no statistical heterogeneity or publication bias was detected. The pooled odds ratio was 1.64 (95% CI 1.24‐2.17). Subgroup analysis showed no statistically significant differences in results. Results from the RCT showed that patients in the CPI group were more likely to remain adherent at 3 and 6‐month follow‐up but the difference was not statistically significant. No statistically significant differences were observed in clinical symptoms or satisfaction with the pharmacy service. However, patients in the CPI group showed greater statistically significant improvement in HRQOL compared to UC patients, both in the ITT and PP analyses. Overall costs were higher in the CPI group than in UC patients, mainly because of differences in productivity losses. There were no statistically significant differences between groups in QALYs. From the societal perspective, the incremental cost‐effectiveness ratio (ICER) for CPI compared with UC was €9,335 per extra adherent patient. The incremental cost‐utility ratio (ICUR) was €38,896 per QALY gained. If willingness to pay (WTP) is €50,000 per one extra adherent patient, per extra remission of symptoms or per QALY, the probability of the CPI being cost‐effective was 0.71, 0.52 and 0.56, respectively. From the healthcare perspective, the ICER was €862 per extra adherent patient. ICUR was €3,542. The probability of the intervention being cost‐effective was 0.75 if WTP is €12,000 for an extra adherent patient and €40,000 for QALY gained. The probability of the CPI being cost‐effective in remission of depressive symptoms was 0.55 for a WTP of €50,000. 4) Conclusions: A pharmacist intervention could be a good strategy to improve patients’ adherence to antidepressants in primary care but evidence supporting the pharmacist intervention in depressed patients is still limited, especially in community pharmacies and outside the USA. A low intensity CPI proved to be ineffective in improving patients’ adherence to antidepressants or clinical symptomatology. However, it was effective in improving the patient’s HRQOL. The CPI was not cost‐effective in comparison with UC in the improvement of adherence, depressive symptoms and QALYs.

Performance and cost evaluation to inform the design and implementation of Organic Rankine Cycles in New Zealand

Southon, Michael Carl January 2015 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to evaluate ORC systems and technologies from an energy and economic perspective. ORC systems are a growing renewable electricity generation technology, but New Zealand has limited local skills and expertise for identifying ORC resource opportunities and subsequently developing suitable technologies at low cost. For this reason, this thesis researches ORC technology, resource types, and international development, with the aim to determine guidelines for how to cost-effectively develop ORC systems, and to make recommendations applicable to furthering their development within a New Zealand context. This thesis first uses two surveys, one of commercial ORC installations, and a second of economic evaluations of ORC systems in literature, to determine what resources and economic scenarios are supportive of commercial development. It is found that geothermal resources provide the largest share of ORC capacity, with biomass and waste-heat recovery (WHR) being developed more recently. The surveys also found that countries with high electricity prices or policy interventions have developed a wider range of resources using ORC systems. This thesis then undertakes an EROI evaluation of ORC electricity generation systems using a combination of top-down and process based methodologies. Various heat sources; geothermal, biomass, solar, and waste heat are evaluated in order to determine how the utilised resource can affect energy profitability. A wide range of EROIstnd values, from 3.4 – 22.7 are found, with solar resources offering the lowest EROIs, and geothermal systems the highest. Higher still EROI values are found to be obtainable with longer system lifetimes, especially for WHR systems. Specific engineering aspects of ORC design and technology such as high-side pressure, heat storage, modularity, superheating, pinch-point temperature difference, and turbine efficiency are evaluated in terms of economic performance, and a variety of general conclusions are made about each. It is found that total system thermo-economic optimisation may not lead to the highest possible EROI, depending on the objective function. Lastly, the effects of past and potential future changes to the markets and economies surrounding ORCs are explored, including the New Zealand electricity spot price, steel and aluminium prices, subsidies, and climate policy. Of the subsidy types explored, it is found that directly subsidising ORC system capital has the greatest effect on the economic performance of ORC systems, as measured by common metrics. In conclusion, this thesis finds that ORC systems have a limited applicability to New Zealand’s electricity market under current economic conditions outside of geothermal and off-grid generation, but changes to these conditions could potentially make their development more viable. The author recommends that favourable resources should be developed using systems that provide high efficiencies, beyond what might provide the best economic performance, in order to increase EROI, and reduce the future need for costly investments into increasingly less favourable resources.

Precursors and prices : structuring the Quebec synthetic drug market

Ouellet, Marie 08 1900 (has links)
Research gathered on synthetic drug markets trails behind studies on other illegal drug markets. Synthetic drug's relatively recent classification as an illicit substance, coupled with its distinct characteristics that insulate it from detection has hindered the development of reliable assessments of the markets structural features. The purpose of this study is to provide reliable insight into the inner dynamics of Quebec’s synthetic drug industry, focusing on its organizational features. Using information derived from 365 synthetic drugs seized by law enforcement over a one year period, this study will merge two techniques, drug composition and economic analyses, under a common framework to derive reliable and comprehensive assessments of the structure of Quebec's synthetic drug market. Drug composition analysis examines the drug’s chemical and physical profile to make inferences about the market structure while the economic analysis examines price determinants for the same market, providing further insight into its dynamics and distinctive features. Findings from the drug composition analysis indicate that the synthetic drug market in Quebec is likely to be composed of a high number of small structures, indicating a competitive market. The economic analysis provided complementary information, finding that both differential production costs and trafficker-consumer relations may influence price variations, depending on the region. This study concludes by emphasizing that drug composition analysis should be diligently pursued by both researchers and enforcement organizations alike to effectively target and enhance our understanding of the intricate processes that underlie the synthetic drug market.

La corporation sert-elle bien ses stakeholders?

Charron Geadah, Nicolas 05 1900 (has links)
The corporation is a multifaceted institution. It is first of all a legal tool available to the enterprise but also the junction of the interests of numerous persons. We call stakeholders the people who have interests in the corporation. Many factors play a role in the relation between the corporation and the stakeholders; the corporate governance, the attributes of the corporation as weil as the corporate law applicable will affect the relation between the corporation and the stakeholders. The conventional model of corporation is often criticized although it is arguably the most efficient model from an economic standpoint. To understand the critics and the raison d'ètre of this model, we need ta analyze it under economic terms from the different points of view of the stakeholders. Analyzing one by one the relations between the corporation and each type of stakeholders, we are able to identify the problems related to externalities and possible solutions. Furthermore, this analysis will allow us to foresce the potential effects of a new legislation and understand better the corporation in its economic context. As a result of this analysis, it seems to be that the situation of each stakeholder depends on many variables on which legislation has little impact. The ultimate control of corporations is tinally settled by an automatic process of adjustment where everyone satisfies its own interests.
