Šiaulių miesto gimnazijų įvaizdžio kūrimas ir valdymas / The formation and management of Šiauliai gymnasiums‘ image

This master‘s final paper formulates the problems of image creation in educational organizations (gymnasiums), it also analyses the technique of image formation in organization examining the concept of organization’s image, reputation, discussing the principal features, types and the meaning of image. A lot of attention was paid to the analyses of organization’s image creation and management, i.e. identity, the main elements of which are- culture, communication and visual identity. The master paper presents possible models of image’s creation and strategic management which are adapted according to the features of educational institutions. The analyses of the image of Šiauliai gymnasiums have been carried out, on the grounds of employees (teachers) and consumers (parents) attitude to the phenomenon. The master’s final paper proves these hypotheses: I. the influence of image is very important to the successful management of gymnasium as it can be considered the way of communication with society and it helps to form the favourable attitude towards the educational institution. II. The positive image of gymnasiums has been formed by creating a focused inner and outer image.

The thesis called The Ways of Presentation of Mathematics in the 7th Grade of Montessori School provides with a description and detailed analysis of Montessori principles with regards to their use and fulfilling tasks during lessons of mathematics at Montessori Schools. Its further aim is to check out in the course of lessons if the three Montessori principles - discovering of facts by an individual, work with mistake and individual approach - are being applied during the presentations of new topics to the 7th grade students of Montessori school. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part deals with establishing of educational areas of mathematics and its application within the "The Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education" and description of current trends in mathematics, didactic constructivism represented by Hejný and Kuřina. Further on, it describes Montessori principles and their application and use during the teaching of mathematics and ways of presentation of mathematic topics in Montessori classes. Šiuolaikinėje visuomenėje komandinis darbas yra ganėtinai populiarus bei užima svarbią poziciją. Komandos kuriamos remiantis įvairiais tikslais, tačiau vienas iš pagrindinių komandinės veiklos taikymo argumentų – greitesnis bei produktyvesnis sprendimų priėmimas bei kokybiškesni rezultatai. Šis magistro darbas yra ganėtinai aktualus, kadangi komandinio darbo plėtros galimybės Lietuvos švietimo įstaigose yra labai perspektyvios bei gali būti plačiai įgyvendinamos. Darbą sudaro keturios dalys: trys teoriniu pagrindu pagrįstos dalys bei tyrimas. Teorinėje darbo dalyje išanalizuoti įvairių Lietuvos bei užsienio autorių komandinio darbo teoriniai aspektai, pritaikant juos švietimo organizacijoms. Įgyvendintas pagrindinis šio darbo tikslas: išnagrinėta komandinio darbo samprata bei ypatumai, išanalizuota jo nauda, privalumai bei trūkumai, išanalizuota darbuotojų motyvacijos problematika dalyvaujant komandinėje veikloje bei nustatytos komandinio darbo panaudojimo galimybės švietimo įstaigose. Teams are created based on different tasks, however, one of the basic arguments while applying team work is quicker and more productive decision making and results of a better quality. The paper is relevant, as possibilities of development of team work in educational organizations in Lithuania are perspective and could be widely realizable. The paper consists of four parts – three parts deal with the theoretical aspect, and there is a research. Theoretical parts analyze how different Lithuanian and foreign authors view theoretical aspects applied in educational organizations. Implementation of the main aim of the paper is carried out that is the concept of team work, benefits, advantages and disadvantages, the topic of employees’ motivation in team work, and possibilities of application it in educational organizations. Furthermore, the influence of leader and members’ role on team work is analyzed, the answer is given on what basis the choice of members is fulfilled and psychological specifications are discussed. It was developed by a University (PUC-SP), in partnership with an NGO of the Education sector (Associação Educacional Labor), and involved education professionals, students and their families of a municipal school and of a Community Association which is responsible for the kindergarten and for other social projects with children and young adults. The goal of this Thesis is to study what this experience has meant to education professionals of the institutions that were involved in this initiative. To achieve that goal, we describe three narratives of this project: the first, by leaders and school administrators; the second, by the head of the Community Association; and the third, by the author of this work, which is both a research member of PUC-SP and a member of Associação Educacional Labor. The analysis of these narratives was carried out in light of theoretical and phenomenological frameworks from several authors that studied dialogical and participative processes, namely Paulo Freire, Robert Chambers, Celso Beisiegel, and Marcos Ortiz Gomes. Among the conclusions reached by the analysis, we highlight the main achievements of this experience, as perceived by the narrators, such as: a deep and productive relationship between institutions and families; the participative process as a fundamental basis on which dialogical processes can be employed to advance pedagogical and managerial participative practices, as well as to empower the teams. Some thoughts about public policies in education, about the role of universities and about organizations in the Education area, are also presented, so as to serve as inspiration to other similar institutions in their interaction with schools and educational organizations / Este estudo está fundamentado num processo de pesquisa-intervenção participativa, de base fenomenológica, no âmbito do Projeto Participação e Diálogo, o qual visou trabalhar com práticas dialógicas entre escolas, famílias e organizações sociais que atendem crianças e adolescentes de um mesmo bairro. Desenvolvido por uma Universidade (PUC-SP), em parceria com uma ONG educativa (Associação Educacional Labor), esse projeto envolveu educadores, alunos e seus familiares, de uma Escola municipal e de uma Associação comunitária responsável por creche e por projetos junto a adolescentes e jovens no contraturno escolar. O objetivo desta tese foi investigar os significados dessa experiência para educadores responsáveis pelas instituições parceiras na iniciativa. Para tanto, foram feitas três narrativas do Projeto: uma, realizada por gestores da Escola; outra, pelo diretor da Associação comunitária; e a terceira, pela autora desta tese., integrante do grupo de pesquisa da PUC-SP e da Associação Labor. A análise dessas narrativas foi feita à luz de aportes teóricos da fenomenologia e de autores que se dedicaram ao estudo de processos dialógicos e participativos, principalmente Paulo Freire, Robert Chambers, Celso Beisiegel, e Marcos Ortiz Gomes. Como conclusões, destacamos os principais aportes dessa experiência percebidos como significativos pelos narradores, tais como: a conquista de uma profícua interação entre as instituições e destas com as famílias; o processo participativo como fundamental para a construção de processos dialogais na gestão e no fazer pedagógico, assim como para o fortalecimento das equipes. Šiuolaikinės švietimo organizacijos, siekiančios prisitaikyti prie nuolatinės kaitos procesų, kintančių vartotojų poreikių, privalo pačios inicijuoti pokyčius, skatinti inovacijas ir naujoves. Lyderystės, kaip inovatyvios švietimo strategijos vystymas, didina švietimo organizacijų konkurencingumą, veiklos efektyvumą, veiksmingumą, yra aukštos ugdymo kokybės bei organizacinės kultūros kaitos prielaida, užtikrina atsakomybės pasidalijimą. Magistro darbe analizuota lyderystės samprata, tipologijos pavyzdžiai, aptartas lyderystės reikšmingumas, atskleistas inovatyvių strategijų vystymo švietime reikšmingumas bei pasidalytosios lyderystės vystymo švietimo organizacijose prielaidos. As modern educational organizations seek to adapt to constantly changing processes and consumer needs, they have to initiate changes and stimulate innovations their selves. Leadership, as development of strategy of innovative education, increases competitiveness, efficiency and effectiveness. It is also an assumption for high quality of education and changes in culture of organization as well as assured sharing of responsibilities. Concept of leadership and examples of its typology are analyzed in the Master‘s thesis. Importance of leadership is discussed and relevance of development of innovative strategies in education as well as assumptions of development of distributed leadership in educational organizations is revealed.
