The University Professor View from the Communitarian Perspective / El profesor universitario desde la óptica comunitarista

Valle López, Angela del 10 April 2018 (has links)
The task of the university professor is a mission and not simply a profession and that is why higher education should be impregnated with values. Nowadays education is articulated into three areas: the State, the Market and the Volunteering, but no one of these three sectors by themselves has covered the needs of all the citizens, there have always been losers, therefore the conjunction of the three sectors became necessary. Communitarianism promotes an ethical-social pact that favors the progress of society without nullifying the individual dimension. It believes that the university is the space where a communitarian consciousness should be promoted to generate a social capital by means of education and it is a privilege place to substantiate the moral identity of the person beginning with the commitment of the professor with the university student.

Samverkan mellan förskola och hem : En fenomenografisk studie om personalens frånvaro i förskolan och dess inverkan på samverkan / Cooperation between preschool and home : A phenomenographic study about the educator's absence in preschool and its impact on cooperation

Larsson Kenstanlis, Isabelle, Malmström, Clara January 2023 (has links)
The aim of the study is to use a phenomenographic approach to highlight how educators in preschool perceive that their absence can affect the phenomenon of collaboration between guardians and educators. The research questions that have been the starting point of the investigation are about how the educators describe their perception of collaboration between preschool and home, how the educators describe their perception of absence among the educators in preschool and how they describe their experience of absence in relation to collaboration. Through a qualitative approach, the survey was conducted in the form of ten individual semi-structured interviews based on a flexible interview guide. The informants consisted of principals, preschool teachers and other educators who work in preschools. The phenomenographic analysis resulted in six categories of description which then form two outcome spaces. The outcome spaces were Educators absence can affect collaboration and Educators absence does not have to have an impact on collaboration. The categories of description and the outcome spaces together highlight the educators perceptions of how the educator's absence can affect the collaboration between preschool and guardians. The result shows a variety of perceptions where the outcome space The absence of educators can affect collaboration summarized into three factors for a non-functioning collaboration, which are absent educators, lack of conditions and insecure relationships. The outcome space Educators absence does not have to have an impact on collaboration was also summarized into three factors for a well-functioning collaboration, which were educators present, good conditions and secure relationships. The conclusion was that the educator's absence in preschool is a contributing factor to the fact that cooperation with guardians is affected. On the other hand, there are clear success factors which mean that absence does not have to affect cooperation.

A RELAÇÃO CORPO-VOZ NA DOCÊNCIA: UM ESTUDO COM PROFESSORAS DOS ANOS INICIAIS DO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL / The body-voice relation in teaching: a study with educators of the beggining years

Lorenzoni, Cândice Moura 29 June 2007 (has links)
This work has been developed on the Research Area of Professional Development Knowledge of the Master Programm In Education at Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM- Brazil). The aim of this study is to investigate the body-voice relation on the teaching practice of educators that work with children in the beggining years. The body-voice relation is a mediator of their professional exercise and this study also analyses the perception these teachers have about their use of body and voice on teaching practice. The studies of Pacheco (1995), Tardif (2002), Schon (2000) have been the theoretical supports of this research. The methodology used is qualitative and the study method is the case study, with a multi-case approach. Three teachers of the beggining years in a public school participate of this research. To the better understanding of the teachers perception, the instruments of research were: observation, half-structured interview, diary, filming of classes, stimulated remembrance interview. For data systematization we chose the following aspects: (1) the perception of the teachers about their voice; (2) the perception of the teachers about their body; (3) the body and the voice of the teachers in the classroom, teaching. These aspects were essential to construct the analysis categories that constitute the final results. The conceptions and perceptions of the teachers about their voices and their bodies and the body-voice relation as a mediator instrument of their practice is a slowly constructed way.

Bruno, Adriana Rocha 02 May 2007 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2016-04-27T14:31:58Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 Adriana Rocha Bruno.pdf: 3890575 bytes, checksum: 121afad10a6ae077ffbfccb37abe48f8 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2007-05-02 / The current thesis intends to develop an investigation on adult learning, specifically the one that concerns the educator, and to search for didactic strategies that can assist the development of this process within on-line education environments. The qualitative research, subsidized by the theory of Experiential Learning and by the dimensions studied in the field of Didacticism through systemic reflection and practice, was developed from the method of content analyses, having the following as its instruments: documents made available through an educator s development course, via online education, and via contents co-developed through interviews with teachers, students and one of the coordinators to the course investigated. The studies developed show that the adult learns with effect from experiences developed through cycles, within an upward spiral, throughout their lives. These cycles are experienced starting from the concept of convergent plasticity to organic working, from social integration, and from individual development built by biopsycho- socio aspects. The plasticity is the base element for the human organism due to its adaptability, suitability and transformation, and all the elements related to human learning have to be coherent with such premise. The online learning environments used for the development of educators should, within didactic strategies, see We tried, in the light of the data interpreted and the theories studied, to propose teaching strategies for the construction of an online Didacticism that can favor the educator s apprenticeship / A presente tese tem por objetivo desenvolver uma investigação sobre a aprendizagem do adulto, especificamente do educador, e buscar estratégias didáticas que auxiliem o desenvolvimento desse processo em ambientes de educação a distância on-line.

The influence of school culture on HIV/AIDS beliefs in an urban school : an education management perspective

Siwela, Miriam Farai 10 1900 (has links)
The UNAIDS report on the global AIDS epidemic (2010:9-11), stated that for the estimated 33.3 million people living with HIV, sub-Saharan Africa has a staggering 22 500 000: South Africa having the highest figure of 5 600 000. The question arises: Why has HIV/AIDS spread faster in Africa than on any other continent, despite similar international strategies? The challenge in Africa is that several HIV/AIDS beliefs and misconceptions distorting management of HIV/AIDS. South African learners receive HIV/AIDS education from the school culture, community, government and the international community, whereas they should be partners in collaborative education: yet, they are not. The research finding indicated that for effective educational strategies, education managers should be aware of these different voices affecting HIV/AIDS education. Education managers should be the main voice in dealing with this menacing epidemic. Countries that have approached HIV/AIDS scientifically and speak with one voice successfully reduced their HIV/AIDS statistics. / Educational Leadership and Management / M. Ed. (Education Management)
