Produits eulériens motiviques / Motivic Euler products

Bilu, Margaret 28 November 2017 (has links)
The goal of this thesis is the study of the motivic height zeta function associated to the problem of counting curves on equivariant compactifications of vector groups, solving in chapter 6 the motivic analogue of Manin's conjecture for such varieties. The motivic height zeta function coming from this counting problem is rewritten in a convenient way using a Poisson summation formula proved in chapter 5, and which generalises Hrushovski and Kazhdan's motivic Poisson formula. Each term is then expressed as a motivic Euler product, the definition and properties of the latter being established in chapter 3. The convergence of these Euler products must be understood for a weight topology which we introduce in the fourth chapter and which relies both on Saito's theory of mixed Hodge modules and on a motivic measure on the Grothendieck ring of varieties with exponentials, constructed in chapter 2 using the notion of motivic vanishing cycles. We deduce from this a description of the asymptotic of a positive proportion of the coefficients of the Hodge-Deligne polynomial of the moduli spaces of curves on the given equivariant compactification, when the degree goes to infinity.

Laplacien hypoelliptique et formule des traces tordue / Hypoelliptic Laplacian and twisted trace formula

Liu, Bingxiao 15 June 2018 (has links)
In this thesis, we give an explicit geometric formula for the twisted semisimple orbital integrals associated with the heat kernel on symmetric spaces. For that purpose, we use the method of the hypoelliptic Laplacian developed by Bismut. We show that our results are compatible with classical results in local equivariant index theory. We also use this formula to evaluate the leading term of the asymptotics as d -> + ∞ of the equivariant Ray-Singer analytic torsion associated with a sequence of flat vector bundles Fd on a compact locally symmetric space. We show that the leading term can be evaluated in terms of the W-invariants constructed by Bismut-Ma-Zhang.

Faisceau automorphe unipotent pour G₂, nombres de Franel, et stratification de Thom-Boardman / Unipotent automorphic sheaf for G₂, Franel numbers, and Thom-Boardman stratification

Ye, Lizao 27 September 2019 (has links)
In this thesis, on the one hand, we generalise to the equivariant case a result of J. Denef and F. Loeser about trigonometric sums on tori ; on the other hand, we study the Thom-Boardman stratification associated to the multiplication of global sections of line bundles on a curve. We prove a subtle inequaliity about the dimensions of these strata. Our motivation comes from the geometric Langlands program. Based on works of W. T. Gan, N. Gurevich, D. Jiang and S. Lysenko, we propose, for the reductive group G of type G2, a conjectural construction of the automorphic sheaf whose Arthur parameter is unipotent and sub-regular. Using our two results above, we determine the generic ranks of all isotypic components of an S3-equivaraint sheaf which appears in our conjecture, this S3 being the centraliser of the sub-regular SL2 inside the Langlands dual group of G.

Moderní asymptotické perspektivy na modelování chyb v měřeních / Modern Asymptotic Perspectives on Errors-in-variables Modeling

Pešta, Michal January 2010 (has links)
A linear regression model, where covariates and a response are subject to errors, is considered in this thesis. For so-called errors-in-variables (EIV) model, suitable error structures are proposed, various unknown parameter estimation techniques are performed, and recent algebraic and statistical results are summarized. An extension of the total least squares (TLS) estimate in the EIV model-the EIV estimate-is invented. Its invariant (with respect to scale) and equivariant (with respect to the covariates' rotation, to the change of covariates direction, and to the interchange of covariates) properties are derived. Moreover, it is shown that the EIV estimate coincides with any unitarily invariant penalizing solution to the EIV problem. It is demonstrated that the asymptotic normality of the EIV estimate is computationally useless for a construction of confidence intervals or hypothesis testing. A proper bootstrap procedure is constructed to overcome such an issue. The validity of the bootstrap technique is proved. A simulation study and a real data example assure of its appropriateness. Strong and uniformly strong mixing errors are taken into account instead of the independent ones. For such a case, the strong consistency and the asymptotic normality of the EIV estimate are shown. Despite of that, their...

Supersymmetric Quantum Mechanics, Index Theorems and Equivariant Cohomology

Nguyen, Hans January 2018 (has links)
In this thesis, we investigate supersymmetric quantum mechanics (SUSYQM) and its relation to index theorems and equivariant cohomology. We define some basic constructions on super vector spaces in order to set the language for the rest of the thesis. The path integral in quantum mechanics is reviewed together with some related calculational methods and we give a path integral expression for the Witten index. Thereafter, we discuss the structure of SUSYQM in general. One shows that the Witten index can be taken to be the difference in dimension of the bosonic and fermionic zero energy eigenspaces. In the subsequent section, we derive index theorems. The models investigated are the supersymmetric non-linear sigma models with one or two supercharges. The former produces the index theorem for the spin-complex and the latter the Chern-Gauss-Bonnet Theorem. We then generalise to the case when a group action (by a compact connected Lie group) is included and want to consider the orbit space as the underlying space, in which case equivariant cohomology is introduced. In particular, the Weil and Cartan models are investigated and SUSYQM Lagrangians are derived using the obtained differentials. The goal was to relate this to gauge quantum mechanics, which was unfortunately not successful. However, what was shown was that the Euler characteristics of a closed oriented manifold and its homotopy quotient by U(1)n coincide.
