Grafias da voz: estudo sobre a oralidade nos registros municipais da São Paulo do século XIX (1820-1870) / Spellings of the voice: a study of orality in the documents of Sao Paulo\'s municipe of nineteenth century (1820-1870)

Com esta análise, procuro investigar a presença da oralidade nos documentos municipais da cidade de São Paulo do século XIX (1820-1870), de modo a se enxergar a constituição e preservação de tradições orais na sociedade, e de que maneira os poderes advindos desses saberes populares conseguiam se verticalizar, entrando também nas esferas políticas. Para isso, trabalhei com conjuntos documentais camerários, tais como as Atas da Câmara, os Papéis Avulsos e os Maços de População, buscando neles os deslizes no estilo mais oficial do registro, nos quais a palavra falada, livre da censura, pudesse se manifestar. Esse detalhamento analítico de cada palavra, e da própria natureza do documento, juntamente com a investigação de seu conteúdo, busca expandir o escopo teórico-metodológico da historiografia que trabalha com grupos menos favorecidos e menos letrados, cujos conhecimentos, mais orais do que escritos, podem ficar escondidos atrás do estilo mais formal e burocrático dos documentos oficiais. A cidade de São Paulo da época, de reduzidas dimensões, além de ser objeto do estudo, também serviu de palco para se aprofundar as questões teóricas levantadas acerca das tradições oral e escrita. Para se trabalhar a aproximação entre essas duas culturas, foi preciso entender também os arranjos sociais da população entre as mais diferentes classes e grupos, contemplando seus desejos mais particulares e suas necessidades. / The purpose of this study was to evaluate oral evidences found in the municipal documents of the city of São Paulo corresponding to a 19th-century period (1820-1870) as a means to determine the features and preservation of oral traditions in society, as well as the way by which these popular knowledge could reach a political scope. For that reason, official documents were analyzed with a focus on the absence of the official writing style, so that uncensored speech evidences could be identified. The detailed word-by-word analysis and the investigation of its contents have the purpose of spreading the theoretical and methodological scope of historiography that studies lower and less educated social classes whose knowledge is shared orally rather than by written. This knowledge may be concealed by the writing style of official documents, which is formal and standardized. Geographically smaller by then, São Paulo was not only the subject of study, but also promoted a deeper understanding of theoretical matters that were raised from oral and written traditions. A comprehension of social arrangements among different classes and groups was also necessary to study the proximity between both cultures, observing their particular aspirations and needs.

O diário de aprendizagem como instrumento revelador do processo de construção identitária de futuros sargentos enquanto leitores e produtores de textos em sua formação inicial

Esta dissertação, realizada com trinta alunos da primeira série de 2012 do Curso de Formação de Sargentos de uma escola militar, objetiva analisar seus diários de aprendizagem, produzidos ao longo das práticas letradas do Curso de Redação, a fim de investigar em que medida os relatos dos diários são reveladores do processo de construção identitária desses futuros sargentos em formação inicial. Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa-ação, cujo instrumento foi o diário de aprendizagem, que forneceu os objetos de análise, que propiciaram observar quais marcas linguístico-enunciativo-discursivas presentes nos relatos permitiram identificar a tomada de consciência dos alunos em relação ao uso da língua padrão. Com os resultados, queríamos saber também a que conclusão era possível se chegar sobre o uso do diário para favorecer a aprendizagem dos alunos nesse contexto de formação técnico-militar. A análise foi realizada seguindo-se o exposto na teoria sobre identidade, aprendizagem, metacognição e meta-afetividade, posicionamento, interação e mediação. Os resultados mostraram que a inserção no mundo figurado militar aconteceu de forma diferenciada para os sujeitos. Uma das dificuldades apontadas por eles diz respeito à produção de textos na língua padrão, atividade para a qual muitos dizem não ter competência, por crerem que só sabe escrever quem domina regras gramaticais, talvez baseados em crenças (vozes) vindas de vivências anteriores. A mediação e a interação foram apresentadas como elementos importantes para minimizar as dificuldades. Quanto ao posicionamento dos sujeitos frente à professora-interlocutora, evidenciou-se que, de uma forma geral, a proximidade veio com o tempo de convivência, influenciando a escolha das palavras e dos gêneros discursivos usados nos relatos. A prática diarista mostrou-se útil para os sujeitos, propiciando-lhes o espaço-tempo necessário para as reflexões sobre si e sua formação, e para a professora-pesquisadora, possibilitando-lhe conhecer o que expressam seus alunos, o que gerou nela reflexões sobre seu pensar e agir enquanto professora de uma escola técnico-militar. / This dissertation, performed with thirty students from the first grade in 2012, at Curso de Formação de Sargentos (Sergeants Education Course) in a military school, intends to analyze theirComposition Course, in order to investigate how the reports in the diaries tell us about the identity construction process of these future sergeants in their initial stage. Therefore, it was conducted an action research, whose was the learning diary, which provided the objects of analysis so as to observe which evidences found in the linguistic-discursive reports allow us to identify the awareness of the research subject regarding the use of the standard language. With the results, we would like to know what conclusion could be reached on the use of the diary so as to improve the students learning in this context of technical-military education. The analysis was performed according to the theory of identity, learning, meta-cognition, meta-affectivity, positioning, interaction and mediation. The results showed that the insertion in the military figured world occurred differently for each research subject. One of the difficulties mentioned by the subjects concerns about the production of texts in the standard language. They claim that they are not competent enough to develop that kind of activity because they believe that you can only write well if you master the grammatical rules, perhaps based on beliefs (voices) originated from previous experiences. The mediation and the interaction were presented as important elements to minimize the difficulties. With regard to the students positioning in relation to the teacher-interlocutress, it became evident, on the whole, that the close proximity came with the coexistence time, having influence in the choice of the words and of the discursive genre used in the reports. The diary practice was useful for the students, providing them the necessary space-time for reflection about themselves and their education, and for the teacher-researcher, enabling her to know her students thoughts, producing reflection about her thinking and her acting as a teacher at a military-technical school.

[pt] A Psicologia Positiva é um movimento caracterizado pelo estudo dos recursos positivos do funcionamento individual, social e organizacional, em conformidade com a visão segundo a qual indivíduos felizes e plenamente realizados tendem a administrar suas vidas de forma bem-sucedida, contribuindo efetivamente para comunidade e as demandas sociais. A Psicologia Positiva adota como missão central a investigação de potencialidades e qualidades humanas, tais como a resiliência, o otimismo, a esperança, o bem-estar, entre outras habilidades interpessoais indicativas da vida saudável. Dentro da visão da Psicologia Positiva, o construto Positividade vem sendo estudado como um compósito das características psicológicas satisfação de vida, autoestima e otimismo. Trata-se de uma tendência do ser humano em avaliar de modo positivo a realidade, as experiências pessoais e interpessoais e o futuro. O estudo das características psicológicas positivas de indivíduos em diferentes faixas etárias é importante pois permite compreender as forças e virtudes necessárias ao desenvolvimento saudável. Especificamente na adolescência, crenças positivas podem conduzir à adaptação bem-sucedida da infância à vida adulta. Este trabalho tem como objetivo investigar evidências iniciais de validade da Escala de Positividade (EP), para uma determinada amostra de adolescentes brasileiros – por considerar de grande importância a avaliação das características positivas no desenvolvimento dos adolescentes. Participaram desta pesquisa 398 adolescentes, com idades entre 11 e 19 anos, estudantes de escolas públicas e privadas da cidade do Rio de Janeiro (RJ) e Região Serrana (RJ). Seus responsáveis legais assinaram um Termo de Consentimento Livre e Esclarecido. A coleta de dados ocorreu por meio da aplicação presencial dos seguintes instrumentos: EP, MHI-5, Questionário Sociodemográfico, SDQ, HOPE, PANAS, EAR e LOT-R. Os resultados indicaram uma estrutura unifatorial, apresentada tanto na AFE como na AFC. Os resultados também apontaram correlações entre a EP e os demais instrumentos que avaliaram os construtos constitutivos e correlatos da Positividade. Em relação às características sociodemográficas, não foram encontradas fortes correlações entre os níveis de Positividade e a renda, sexo, tipo de escola ou localidade de moradia. Adolescentes mais novos, no entanto, apresentaram maiores níveis de Positividade do que os mais velhos. / [en] Positive Psychology is a movement characterized by the study of positive resources of individual, social and organizational functioning, in accordance with the view that happy and fully realized individuals tend to manage their lives in a successful way, effectively contributing to the community and social demands. Positive Psychology adopts as its central mission the investigation of human potentialities and qualities, such as resilience, optimism, hope, well-being, among other interpersonal abilities indicative of a healthy life. From Positive Psychology s point of view, the construct Positivity has been studied as a composite of psychological characteristics life satisfaction, self-esteem and optimism. It is a human being inclination to evaluate reality, personal and interpersonal experiences and the future in a positive way. The study of positive psychological characteristics in individuals among different age groups is important since it allows us to comprehend the necessary forces and virtues for a healthy development. Specifically during adolescence, positive beliefs may lead to a well succeeded adaptation of infancy into adult life. This work intends to investigate initial evidences of the Positive Scale (P-Scale) validity, for a sample of Brazilian adolescents – due to the importance of evaluating positive characteristics for their development. The 398 adolescents (ages ranging from 11 to 19 years old) that took part in the research are students of both public and private schools of Rio de Janeiro (RJ) and Região Serrana (RJ). Their legal guardians signed a Free and Informed Consent Form. Data collection occurred through the application of the following instruments: PS, MHI-5, Sociodemographic Questionnaire, SDQ, HOPE, PANAS, EAR e LOT-R. Results indicated a unifactorial structure, presented both in AFE and AFC. Results revealed, among other evidences, correlations between P-Scale and the remaining instruments used for evaluating the constitutive and correlate Positivity constructs. Regarding sociodemographic characteristics, no strong correlations were found between Positivity levels and income, gender, school type or housing location. However, younger adolescents presented higher Positivity levels than older ones.

Authority and interpretation in the book of Jonah

Thesis (MTh)--Stellenbosch University, 2000 / ENGLISH ABSTRACT: The issue addressed in this study and its hypothesis are outlined in chapter one, and concern the general problem of variety in theological interpretation of the Bible. Specifically, the research problem is identified with the existence of different readings of Jonah as Scripture, and the need for these readings to be authoritative. A secondary issue has to do with the role of author's intention in theological interpretation. The hypothesis of this study states that the existence of various models of Scriptural authority can account in part for the different ways that interpreters produce meaning in the text of Jonah, by appealing to the one aspect of the text which is thought to be authoritative. In chapter two the concept of scriptural authority is defined. The writings of theologians who have expressed authority in terms of models is compared and contrasted. A synthesis is attempted which aims at providing a definition of each model of authority with which to analyse the theological interpretations of select authors. In this chapter, the main focus is on the different ways that the Bible is regarded as authoritative in the church. Chapter three provides an analysis of three Jonah commentaries each written from the perspective of one of the models of authority. The specific way in which each author understands the meaning of Jonah is identified through a consideration of the exegetical arguments. The single aspect of the text which is taken to be decisive in the articulation of the understanding of the theological message is traced in the author's argument. The interpretation is then compared with the definition of the particular model assumed to be underlying the exegesis. The final chapter consists of an evaluation of the validity of the central hypothesis; some concluding remarks concerning the role of author's intention in authoritative interpretation; and an identification of areas for further research. / AFRIKAANSE OPSOMMING: OUTORITEIT EN INTERPRETASIE IN DIE BOEK JONA Die probleemstelling en hipotese van hierdie studie kry in hoofstuk een aandag. The word became text and dwells among us

In 1978 a group of evangelical philosophers and theologians held a meeting to decide what the definitive statement on the doctrine of inerrancy would be. Drawing on the thought of B.B. Warfield and others this group came up with a statement comprising of a short statement, nineteen articles including both statements of affirmation and denial, as well as, an exposition of these articles. Taken in its entirety, this statement is intended to be the Evangelical statement determining all subsequent information about the doctrine of inerrancy. Leading evangelicals, including Carl F.H. Henry signed this document in order to establish a consensus on what one meant when using the term inerrancy. Almost three decades later this term is still used with a sense of confusion and the doctrine is no less controversial. In fact, it still is responsible for the division of departments in many evangelical institutions of higher education in North America. The following thesis hopes to help loosen this doctrine from its theological ‘stronghold’ and place it in a position where it will be less likely to cause division amongst evangelicals. By examining the thought of both B.B. Warfield, who helped create the doctrine, and Carl F.H. Henry, who played a contemporary role in the formation of the Chicago Statement and who might rightly be considered the evangelical theologian of the twentieth century, this thesis brings to light certain presuppositions of the doctrine of inerrancy that allow it take a position that undergirds other theological doctrines. By identifying the nature of truth and authority as the main tenants of the inerrantist position, the thesis examines these terms in light of the thought of both Warfield and Henry. Their thought is found to be remarkably similar to certain principles and concerns raised by Enlightenment philosophers and it is concluded that the understandings of truth and authority presupposed by the doctrine of inerrancy ultimately are biased by Enlightenment philosophy and so are an inadequate representation of the terms as used in Scripture and tradition. The thesis suggests that an adequate understanding of truth would be primarily Christological in nature and, therefore, a larger category than the one presupposed by the doctrine of inerrancy. Also, an adequate understanding of authority would presuppose the contemporary work of the Holy Spirit, which again makes for a much larger pneumatological category than the one presupposed by the doctrine of inerrancy as it is currently defined. Enlarging these categories in no way necessitates the denial of inerrancy altogether. Rather it removes the doctrine of inerrancy from its theological pedestal and places it amongst other beliefs that might support the truth and authority of Scripture but by no means establish them. The concluding chapter ends with a statement of what this new doctrine of inerrancy might look like.

A educação científica tem se voltado para atividades pedagógicas que utilizam a prática investigativa de alunos. Um dos objetivos é que os estudantes se apropriem não apenas dos conceitos científicos, mas também das práticas específicas da atividade científica. Uma das pretensões é que os alunos desenvolvam a competência da argumentação científica. Esta investigação pretende compreender como os alunos desenvolvem sua argumentação escrita, analisando a utilização que fazem dos dados como evidências da seleção natural de forma a sustentar suas conclusões na resolução de questões investigativas sobre evolução biológica. Elaboramos uma sequência didática cuja arquitetura estabelece os alicerces para a ação pedagógica do professor e promove uma atuação investigativa dos alunos. A arquitetura da sequência tem duas bases integradoras: a) a educação científica baseada em investigação e b) a matriz de construção histórica da investigação de Darwin sobre a seleção natural como mecanismo da evolução biológica. Para investigar como seria o ensino da evolução biológica que recupera o viés da matriz investigativa utilizada por Darwin, nossa questão-problema foi construída com dois grandes focos: a) como articular intenções conceituais e metodológicas características da natureza das ciências biológicas com a abordagem dos principais obstáculos da construção histórica do conceito de seleção natural numa sequência didática baseada em investigação e b) de como é a utilização de dadosT como evidências da seleção natural na composição da estrutura argumentativa escrita de alunos de ensino médio durante a aplicação de uma Sequência de Ensino de Biologia Baseada em Investigação (SEEBI) para o ensino de evolução biológica. Para investigar nossa questão, elaboramos a SEBBI que foi aplicada por uma professora da rede pública para 125 alunos da 3ª série do ensino médio de uma escola pública estadual de São Paulo. Nossa metodologia é de abordagem qualitativa integrada a uma abordagem quantitativa. Nossos dados compõem-se de: a) materiais (apostilas, modelos experimentais, elementos audiovisuais utilizados nas aulas) e b) apostilas com respostas escritas pelos alunos após as atividades propostas. As análises foram realizadas a partir das apostilas escritas dos alunos, dos materiais elaborados e disponibilizados na SEBBI e na transcrição que realizamos. Os resultados mostram que a SEBBI tem alicerces em intenções conceituais e metodológicas características da biologia. Além disso, os resultados apontam para uma superação de obstáculos conceituais pelos alunos, como a teleologia cósmica e o fixismo, para a construção do conceito de seleção natural. Os resultados das análises apresentam uma melhora na capacidade argumentativa dos alunos, uma forte correlação entre o uso de dados de evolução biológica com a construção de argumentos de maior qualidade pelos alunos, pelo uso de justificativa (garantia e apoio) alicerçada em conhecimento científico. Há evidências da ampliação da construção de argumentos, tanto no aumento do número de componentes utilizados quanto na qualidade dos componentes campos-dependentes da ciência, como o apoio e evidências. Os argumentos construídos passam a apresentar a sustentação baseada em apoio conceitual específico do paradigma das ciências biológicas como a seleção natural, validando as conclusões a partir do uso de dadosT de Toulmin da investigação realizada pelos alunos. / The scientific education has focused on pedagogical activities that use students investigative practice. One of the objectives is so that students not only obtain the scientific concepts, but also the specific practices of science activity. It is a pretention that students develop their scientific argumentation competence. This investigation aims at understanding how students develop their written argumentation, analyzing their use of data as evidence of natural selection in order to sustain their conclusions about biological evolution investigative questions. We made a didactic sequence, which architecture establishes the foundation to the teachers pedagogical actions, and promotes students investigative actions. The sequence lies on two integrative bases: a) an investigation based scientific education and b) Darwins investigation on the natural selection as a mechanism of the historical construction matrix of biological evolution. In order to examine how would it be the biological evolution teaching based in Darwins investigative structure, our problem question was built with two main focuses: a) how could we articulate conceptual and methodological intentions, characteristic to biological sciences, with the approach of the main historical obstacles of natural selection in evolving into the concept of the mechanism of biological evolution in a didactic sequence based upon inquiry and b) how it is the use of data as evidence of natural selection in the high school students written argumentative structure during the application of Inquiry Based Biology Teaching Sequence (SEEBI, in Portuguese) to biological evolution teaching. To investigate our task, we developed a SEEBI that was applied by a public networks teacher to 125 high schools senior year students in a public school of São Paulo. Our methodology has qualitative and quantitative approaches. Our data consists of: a) materials (textbooks, experimental models, audio-visual resources used in class) and b) booklets with answers written by the students after the proposed activities. The data analyses were based upon these booklets, with students written answers, materials elaborated and posted in the SEEBI and also in the transcription we did. The results show that SEEBI has its foundation lied on conceptual and methodological intentions, characteristic to Biology. Furthermore, the results indicate an overcoming of conceptual obstacles as well, such as cosmic teleology and fixism, therefore, building the concept of natural selection as a mechanism of biological evolution. The study of the consequences presents an improvement in students argumentative ability, a strong correlation between the use of data from biological evolution with the construction of higher quality arguments by the students, using justifications (warranty and theoretical support) grounded in scientific knowledge. Theres evidence of an expansion of the arguments construction, both increasing the number of used components as well as the field-dependent components of sciences quality, such as support and evidence. The arguments constructed shall provide support based on specific conceptual assistance in paradigms of Biology, like natural selection, validating the findings from the use of data (Toulmin, 2006) in researches conducted by students.

This actual theme has been chosen due to the fact that I have worked with social security practice for several years as a public employee, and also together with the studies on material social security. The choice is also justified with the purpose of a reinterpretation or a change in the legislature concerning social security proceeding rules, which are at a perceptible state of retrocession, harnessed into those old precepts, despite having being prepared after the publication of the present Constitution. In short, after some brief considerations regarding the conception about Social Security, Social Welfare, Health and Social Security, as well as the various forms of Social Security benefits, the paper will investigate the applied evidences on the social security proceedings, among which, documentary evidence, testimonial evidence, expert evidence, administrative justification and evidence to prove economical dependency and to prove performed activities under special conditions, all in agreement with jurisprudence and its due procedural legislation. In this context, several problems on the social security procedural legislation will be examined all with its due legal proceedings and with the basic rules based on the Code of Civil Procedure. Finally, some important conclusions obtained during this present study, which confirm the necessity for a change on the jural-social security legal system in such a way that its proceeding rules (clearly expressed or implied) are interpreted and applied in favour of the weakest part on the jural-procedural relation, in casu, the insured / O presente trabalho tem por escopo abordar as provas no processo previdenciário sob uma perspectiva prática e teórica, em consonância com a jurisprudência e com o devido processo legal. A escolha do presente tema se deu em virtude dos vários anos atuando na prática previdenciária exercida como servidor público, em conjunto com o estudo do direito material previdenciário. Justifica-se ainda a escolha com o propósito de uma reinterpretação ou uma mudança legislativa no tocante às normas processuais previdenciárias, as quais se encontram num visível retrocesso, atreladas àqueles velhos cânones, embora elaboradas posteriormente à promulgação da Magna Carta vigente. Em suma, após breves considerações no tocante aos conceitos da Seguridade Social, Assistência Social, Saúde e Previdência Social, adentrar-se-á as provas utilizadas no processo previdenciário, dentre as quais a prova documental, testemunhal, pericial, justificação administrativa, provas para a comprovação de dependência econômica e para a comprovação de atividades exercidas em condições especiais, todas em consonância com a jurisprudência e com o relativo processo legal. Nesse contexto, serão observados os vários descompassos da legislação processual previdenciária com o devido processual legal e com as regras básicas do Código de Processo Civil. Finalmente, apresentar-se-ão as conclusões indispensáveis obtidas durante o estudo, as quais corroboram a necessidade de mudança legislativa no ordenamento jurídico-previdenciário, no sentido de que sejam as normas do processo previdenciário (explícitas ou implícitas) interpretadas e aplicadas em prol da parte mais fraca da relação jurídico-processual, in casu, os segurados

<p>When a new building is constructed, or some changes are taking place in the already existing building, it is required according to PBL  chapter 8 that the developer applies for planning permissions at the building committee in that municipality where the real estate is located. In the planning permission, the documents of the current building are examined.<strong></strong></p><p> </p><p>The developer will appoint a quality manager that helps the developer to ensure that all necessary controls are done and that the requirements in these are met. The developer has the final responsibility to ensure that the building is built according to all requirements and rules. The building committee establishes a control plan that shows which controls have to be carried out and which certificates and documents have to be sent in during the time of the construction.</p><p>This study aims to finding out which documents that will be submitted at the construction of a new building, according to the laws found in PBL, if these documents are required and if they are examined of the municipalities before the building is approved.</p>
