Electropneumatique asservie : méthodologies et applications industrielles / Electropneumatic control loop system : methodologies and industrial applications

Hubert, Daniel 08 January 2015 (has links)
Cette interaction conduisant à un enrichissement mutuel par l'acquis de l'expérience vécue / The validation of experience is here developed around a theme concerning the electropneumatic servocontrolled. A first part lists the interests and contributions to research work in order to use them in the realization of innovative industrial products and using multidisciplinary knowledge. Then we show that the practical experience of previous activities, followed by critical analysis and reflection, led to the creation and active participation in standardization activities at international level. Finally a synthesis and formalization of these research activities and innovative industrial applications led to the development of training activities. A second part develops the theoretical and technical approach to better understand and assess the technological leap required for the creation and adaptation of innovative industrial products servo axes and modulators of electro power from market demands more or less formalized. Throughout this document the interactions between industrial and academic research aspects are discussed. This interaction leads to mutual enrichment acquired through experience

Unknown Date (has links)

Excès de confiance des chargés d'affaires bancaires dans les décisions d'octroi de crédit aux entreprises / Bankers' Overconfidence in the granting process for firms

Lambert, Jérôme 01 April 2011 (has links)
This work analyzes bankers' overconfidence in the granting process. Empirical and experimental work provides evidences that experts' judgment and students' judgment could differ. We have replicated our study on students and measure overconfidence and attitudes toward risk.In a first qualitative study, we analyze the bankers' overconfidence thanks to the interviews we made. We highlight their overconfidence; however we could not find any link such as cause/effect with their decisions. We extend our work with an experimentation with bankers and students. After measuring different forms of overconfidence and attitudes toward risk, we have tested the impact of overconfidence on a assets' study. Each participant had to judge, evaluate and decide to invest in different assets. The first results show that no differences can be made between bankers and students on the overconfidence and attitudes toward risk. Nevertheless, in the assets' study, students tend to form a global preference and revise their judgment during their investment (intervention of the risk aversion). On the opposite, bankers are influenced by the overconfidence bias and the evaluation stage when they form their investment choices.

Zebrafish (Danio rerio) as a Model for Orofacial Research

Ghaffari, Kevin A 01 January 2017 (has links)
Across species, the face and more specifically the mouth, serves as an essential facet of everyday life. Amongst humans the mouth serves as a tool for the ingestion of food, a marker for facial recognition and a medium for communication. In order for the mouth to properly form, a series of precise growth and fusion events are needed. In order to insure that these events are orchestrated properly is a wide array of signals, transcription factors and epigenetic regulators. Due to the needed precision of these events, congenital birth defects of the face such as cleft lip and cleft palate are some of the most common worldwide. In order to support existing and identify new developmental processes involved in mouth formation, we have utilized the effective model, Danio to study the molecules and events implicated in orofacial development. This was accomplished by developing a novel confocal imaging technique that allows for visualization of the forward facing zebrafish. Using this imaging technique we were able to establish when the embryonic mouth first forms in zebrafish. Additionally, we recapitulated cleft-palate phenotypes shown in previous literature with the imaging method. Utilizing this technique, we then sought to further establish the role of Ca2+ signaling in proper orofacial morphogenesis and determine if the serine/threonine protein kinase, Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase type-II (CaMK-II), has a role in proper orofacial developmental.

A Case Study of the Self-directed Learning of Women Entrepreneurs in the First Four Years of Business Ownership

Carwile, Julie 17 April 2009 (has links)
In this qualitative case study, self-directed learning theory was used as the lens to explore experiences of nine women entrepreneurs during the first four years of business ownership as they sought to acquire skills necessary to run their businesses. Data were collected over six months through in-person 90-minute interviews and follow-up questions posed by telephone and email. Qualitative data software was used for coding and thematic analysis, resulting in five broad conclusions related to learning, with additional unanticipated findings. Study participants engaged in a variety of self-directed learning activities, mostly through trial and error experimentation, and possessed varying motivations for learning. Educational level and reliance on past industry experience limited openness to new experiences and commitment to learning for some, particularly those with high school degrees or limited college experience. The majority of learning was pursued “just-in-time” as the need mandated when a challenge presented itself rather than in a pre-planned manner. Learning was heavily reliant on other people: most sought the advice of paid professionals, former co-workers, or friends and family. The use of a mentor for learning was identified by one participant, while three employed business coaches for professional guidance. Much of their learning was highly instrumental in nature, focused on here-and-now problem solving related to managing employees, handling legal issues in establishing the business, and learning to market themselves. While extremely self-confident in their abilities, most of the women struggled with issues of family and work-life balance, and several described guilt over neglecting one aspect of their lives for the other. Study conclusions emphasize the importance of knowing how to learn in the entrepreneurial context and suggest ways entrepreneurs can access knowledge and new experiences for learning, with implications for entrepreneurship programs, government agencies, and educators.

Une production polygraphique, creuset d’expérimentation critique ? : l'"Œuvre" de Guillaume Colletet (1616-1658) / A polygraphic production, melting-pot of critical experimentation ? : the "Work" of Guillaume Colletet (1616-1658)

Biedma, Sabine 21 September 2012 (has links)
With this study, I’ve tried to show how a polygraphic production from the early seventeenth century (the work of Guillaume Colletet, 1616-1658), shaped by non literary motives (such as social and economic factors, and the crumbling of a humanist knowledge benefitting the rising of society life), can transcend the fragmentation imposed, and this by using polygraphy as a lever for literary experimentation. In this polygraphic melting-pot, the various texts, as well as the main fields of production (poetry, translation, theory), which should have remained heterogeneous, are conscientiously related in a fertile dialogue. As a consequence, theory and practice mingle in constant interaction, in a permanent reflexive and self-criticising movement. Meanwhile, the work never stops re-writing itself. By doing so, a dialectic movement to and fro is created, holding together the various productions, and de facto making them a Work of art. Even more, as it is a movement of permanent recreation, this work prompts us to put back, not only this particular work, but also all the works of art, in their context, i.e in the gradual time of their elaboration, and more generally speaking in history. This paves the way for the elaboration of a critical literary history which is eminently modern. Enventually, such an example leads us to start a reflection in the field of the philosophy of art : what are the consequences on the idea of the Beautiful of a work which is no longer to be thought about as a monument, but as a movement?
