In this research HORNS BETWEEN THE CROSS AND THE SWORD : a study of the bulls parties (XV- XVI) in Spain, we seek to identify how was this emergence of a regal control speech and clerical specifically under the so-called bulls parties in the XV and XVI - being what we call " the horns between a rock and a hard place " just this reading of bullfighting festivals that legitimized and gave arterial runoff to that construction of the austere celebrations and they were in accordance with the Christian doctrines and dogmas , what We call the ordinance festive speech and gave way to this construction of more austere celebrations that were in accordance with the Christian doctrines and dogmas, in what we call the festive ordinance speech. In order to do so, we analyzed a range of documents, from a chronicle (Crónica del Condestable de Castilla Don Lucas Iranzo), a treaty (Tratado del Juego), a bula (Salute Gregis Dominici) and the prologue of a songbook (Cancionero de Juan Alfonso de Baena) in an attempt to identify and construct in this different typology the various ways used to compose the festive ordinance speech. Observable in three fronts of analysis - the clerical speech, the clerical speech perceived and practiced (or not) by the nobility and the space/heterotopological speech (the latter, of paramount importance, has been analyzed with Foucault's concept of heterotopia and the various possibilities that it can represent in the analysis of the most diverse spaces as a starting point). We also seek throughout the research a theme that, although it has been discussed many times before, still shows that there is fertile ground for new historiographical debates: the parties themselves – analyzed from the premises of parties as problem and as speech.

Previous issue date: 2015 / This work consists in investigating two cultural events that occur in the Mucuripe neighborhood, Fortaleza: The celebration of Sao Pedro and the celebration of Nossa Senhora da Saúde. What sparked interest for this research was the record in 2011 as official manifest of Fortaleza held by the Conselho Municipal de Patrimônio Histórico e Cultural (COMPHIC). The questioning arises from the strong presence of Nossa Senhora da Saúde in the construction of religious imagery in Mucuripe neighborhood, represented by her image during the celebration of São Pedro, as patron of the São Pedro dos Pescadores Churchy. We observed the imagetic regimes of the festivities, supported by Durand, realizing the extent to which the images produced in the festivities influence on the record. Thus, we intend to analyze the festive landscapes built during the festivities, highlighting the dynamics of the day and night imagetic regimes, looking at the relationship of these with public policies for the protection of intangible cultural heritage. To carry out this research, we used bibliography references in the geographic field which discuss the cultural manifestations in space and the scenery reproduced in the celebration. The reference from authors of the Psychology and Anthropology fields had a significant importance to this research, as well as the application of a hundred questionnaires in both manifestations observed, using Geography's cultural approach to evidentiate the relationship between the festive scenery reproduced with the process of non registration of the intangible cultural heritage of the city. We can realize the relationship between the festive landscapes and the public politics about cultural heritage.

This thesis looks at the social and anthropological functions of family celebrations, and focuses in particular on transmission. The study of these festive gatherings contributes to an exploration of the complexity of social ties. It shows that these spaces are ambivalent, as they both integrate and exclude from festivities. The material and immaterial elements that can be passed down are introduced in all their variety. Festive practices socialise while also being a social product themselves, and create learning opportunities through processes of inculcation and impregnation. The educational relationship seems heightened by the particular atmosphere of these celebrations, which bring people physically closer and allows the relaxing of rules and habits. Through this proximity, participants become more attentive to each other, and more inclined to reciprocity in their relationships. Around the table, relatives negotiate the family memory by sharing their experiences and through the narration of old memories, especially past or future celebrations. Between reserve and elation, these groups thus create a sense of community that is significant both for the group’s evolution and for the individual, and his or her attitude towards others. Along the way, the different phases of festivities create space for encounters and dialogue, which allow individuals to tell their story and process their plural identity. From a methodological perspective, this qualitative analysis of festive practices within the framework of the family draws on an ethnographic approach, and combines participant observation with the gathering of multiple voices. Through her own involvement, the writer questions the proximity between the researcher and the field studied.

Émerger à l’altérité : vers une approche anthropologique de la condition juvénile : l’exemple des pratiques festives et des usages de substances psychoactives / Emerge to otherness : towards an anthropological approach of juvenile condition : the example of festive practices and uses of psychoactive substancesPecqueur, Christophe 18 January 2019 (has links)
This research is based on a double questioning about the social phenomena of adolescence and youth. First, a critical reflection on the use of the notions of adolescence and youth by sociology leads us to develop, relying in particular on the contributions of other disciplines such as psychoanalysis, an anthropological approach to the juvenile condition. Then it is defined at the articulation of the general process of emergence to "principle of otherness", which marks anthropologically the exit of childhood, and the social conditions of exercise of this process. From here we report on the singularity of the contemporary experience of youthfulness through the example of festive practices and psychoactive substances uses. The social universe of festive youthful practices, particularly marked by the staging of excess, appears as a major area of socialization of the younger generations. While it may have a function to symbolize the break with the world of childhood that accompanies entry into adolescence, it is not or little effective in the process of aggregation to the adult world.

Česká jednotlivě vydaná sváteční a příležitostná kázání konce 17. a prvních dvou třetin 18. století / Individually Published Czech Festive and Occasional Preachings of the End of the 17th and the First Two Thirds of the 18th CenturySládek, Miloš January 2013 (has links)
Individually Published Czech Festive and Occasional Preachings of the End of the 17th and the First Two Thirds of the 18th Century Miloš Sládek The thesis concentrates on the area of festive and occasional homiletics in Bohemia after the Battle of White Mountain. Since the end of the 17th century, homiletics had represented the Czech leading literary genre with extraordinary influence on the masses. This influence was even strenghtened when printed preachings gradually became popular reading. The main focus of the thesis is on the questions of preparation of preaching, problematics of preaching handbooks, relationship of a preacher and his listeners, as well as the area of Classicist and conceptual preaching. The Baroque concept is described in connections with the aspect of growing author's self-esteem at that time. Editions of chosen sixteen preachings with introductions are added to demonstrate (or relativise) the conclusions of the first part of the thesis. Festive preaching in Bohemia was essentially influenced by legends, German Catholic preaching and myths and folk-tales. Emphasis on Christian morality is typical for Sunday preaching, however, it also appears in festive preachings. The influence of festive and occasional preaching of the end of the 17th and the first half of the 18th century on...
