Text in German / This dissertation shows the possibilities of interdisciplinary application of principles and methods in bible didactics, adult education, school education and learning style research to Christian education in evangelical free churches. The research objective is the establishment and development of a bible didactic methodology for practical teaching in order to convey biblical contents to postmodern adults. This objective is achieved by the practical-theological establishment of the necessity of basic biblical education in free churches, the presentation of the postmodernist church pedagogical framework for bible courses, the elaboration of possible applications of didactic principles of bible didactics, adult education and school education for conveying biblical contents in bible courses, and finally, by the compilation of suitable bible didactic principles and methods for bible courses. The dissertation closes by stating the requirements of pastors and teachers in free churches as well as the challenges of church pedagogy training for future pastors. / Philosophy, Practical and Systematic Theology / M. The subject of this study is Christian education in the church. This practical-theological work starts from the premise of the relevance of a commitment experience for the faith development of the individual and studies the formats and contents of continuing formal faith education of young Christians in evangelical free churches in a postmodern-urban milieu in Frankfurt. Its aim is to find out how well the New Testament discipleship topics of Jesus are integrated into the faith education in the church, and what reception difficulties and chances they experience in regard to the Zeitgeist. Are the New Testament discipleship topics still the basic guidelines with regard to content? The relationship between faith development, faith education and the local church is presented within a religion- and church-pedagogical approach and a connection to education for discipleship is made. The biblical premise is the discipleship commission of Jesus (Mt 28:18-20) and its church-pedagogical reply. / Der Untersuchungsgegenstand ist die christliche Erziehung in der Gemeinde. Diese praktisch-theologische Arbeit geht aus von der Bedeutung einer Commitment-Erfahrung für die Glaubensentwicklung des Einzelnen und untersucht die Formate und Inhalte der weiterführenden formalen Glaubenserziehung junger Christen in evangelikal-freikirchlichen Gemeinden im postmodern-urbanen Umfeld in Frankfurt. Ihr Ziel ist es, herauszufinden, inwiefern heute die neutestamentlichen Nachfolgethemen Jesu in der gemeindlichen Glaubenserziehung behandelt werden und welche Rezeptionsschwierigkeiten und Chancen sie im heutigen Zeitgeist haben. Text in German with summaries in German and English / Includes bibliographical references (leaves 179-182) / In dieser Studie geht es um das Selbstverständnis von Frauen in Leiterschaft in drei von fünf Bünden, die im August 2013 als Freikirchen in Österreich (FKÖ) rechtlich anerkannt wurden. In Leitfadeninterviews äußern sich Leiterinnen zur sogenannten Frauenfrage, ihrem Glauben und ihren Aufgaben in der Gemeinde. Die Forschung findet anhand des empirisch-theologischen Praxiszyklus statt, das Kodieren der Daten und die anschließende Theoriegenerierung geschieht durch die Grounded Theory. Es werden vier Leitertypen aus den erarbeiteten Daten generiert: die Befreite, die ihre Leitungsaufgaben ungehindert erfüllt, die arrivierte Kämpferin, die andere überzeugen konnte, die aktive Kämpferin, die momentan vor Herausforderungen steht und die Suchende, die nicht sicher ist, wie die biblischen Texte zur Frauenfrage heute angewendet werden sollten. Verschiedene Auslegungstraditionen zu ausgewählten Bibelstellen zur Frauenfrage werden der Praxis in Freikirchen gegenübergestellt mit dem Ziel, Horizonte zu erweitern und Gemeindepraxis zu verändern. / This study is about the self-perception of women regarding their roles in leadership in the Free Churches of Austria (FKÖ). In guided interviews woman leaders reflect on aspects of women in ministry, such as being denied the office of teaching, their function in the church and the influence of their faith. The study is done using the empirical-theological practice cycle. The coding of the data and the generating of a theory is done according to the model of Grounded Theory. In the study four types of woman leaders emerge: the liberated woman, who fulfils her duties unimpeded; the successful fighter, who convinced others; the active fighter, who struggles with complementarian practices; and the searcher, who hasn’t found the best interpretations of the biblical texts. Biblical passages and their use with regard to women in ministry are compared to practices in certain churches, so to broaden perspectives and change church praxis. / Practical Theology / M. Th. Summary in German and English / Die vorliegende Arbeit widmet sich der Frage nach der Korrelation von Kirche und Welt am Beispiel der Evangelisch-Freikirchlichen Gemeinden in Deutschland. Dabei wird in dieser Arbeit intradisziplinär vorgegangen, indem methodisch sowohl biblisch-theologisch als auch sozialwissenschaftlich geforscht wird. Diese intradisziplinäre Vorgehensweise kommt in der vorliegenden komparativen Studie durch zwei Schritte zur Geltung. Im ersten Schritt wird im Rahmen einer biblisch-theologischen Reflexion eine Matrix zur Beurteilung der Korrelation von (Frei-)Kirche und Welt erarbeitet. Diese biblischtheologisch gewonnene Matrix bildet die Grundlage zur Entwicklung einer qualitativen Umfrage. Im zweiten Schritt werden im Rahmen einer empirischen Untersuchung Experten aus dem Kontext der Evangelisch-Freikirchlichen Gemeinden interviewt. Die Daten der Interviews werden mit einer in der Sozialwissenschaft gebräuchlichen Methode analysiert, ausgewertet und zu einer Theorie verdichtet. Abschließend werden die Ergebnisse der empirischen Untersuchung mit den Ergebnissen der biblisch-theologischen Reflexion verglichen und ausgewertet. This thesis is a socio-historical study which shows the correlation between the historically developed leadership culture of democracy and the leadership practice within the evangelical churches of Switzerland. After clarifying the theological understanding in the mutual relationship of leadership and culture, first the historical development of the Swiss leadership culture is described. This development is rooted in the cultural heritage of the Celts, the Romans and the Alemannen, as well as in the history of the Swiss-Confederation and the history of Christianity. In the light of this historically founded leadership culture, the study deals further with the present leadership situation of the evangelical churches. Central fundamental values of the Swiss-leadership-culture prove to be: No power to the individual, democratic right of co-determination, federalist freedom and the importance of achievement and work. This research project in empirical theology draws on qualitative empirical methods to examine the topic of inclusion as it applies to disability and leadership in the context of state and free churches in Switzerland. Its goal was to ascertain how the challenging inclusion of religious leaders with physical, emotional or mental impairments can be theoretically and practically improved within the Swiss churches. From a theoretical point of view, aspects of labour theory and ecclesiastical law that pose challenges for church leaders with disabilities were foregrounded, as were theological positions defining the pastoral role. From a practical point of view, structural, technical and similar barriers demanded investigation, along with the adaptability of church practices and of work structures. To that end, the topics of inclusion, disability and leadership responsibility in the church were initially studied from a theoretical and interdisciplinary perspective and the relationships between them were traced. Male and female church leaders (clergypersons, priests, pastors and the like) affected by the issue and employed by state and free churches in Switzerland were then interviewed individually and together with their partners, their superiors and members of local church councils. Analysis of the data thus gathered revealed three empirical-theological models and three conceptions of how inclusion might be theorized. These describe both numerous challenges in the inclusion of church leaders with various disabilities and specific measures for improving the inclusion of those affected. Among other results, it proved possible to derive and elaborate a multifunctional practical concept for the inclusion of church leaders with disabilities that has practical-theological applications in the context of the state and free churches in Switzerland. / In dieser Forschungsarbeit wurde Inklusion am Beispiel von Behinderung und Leitungsverantwortung im Kontext von Landes- und Freikirchen der Schweiz empirisch-theologisch bzw. qualitativ-empirisch untersucht. Es war das Ziel, herauszufinden, wie die problematische Inklusion von Leiterinnen und Leitern mit körperlichen, seelischen und geistigen Einschränkungen in Landes- und Freikirchen der Schweiz theoretisch und praktisch verbessert werden kann. In theoretischer Hinsicht standen dabei unter anderem die für Leitungspersonen mit Behinderung herausfordernden arbeitstheoretischen oder kirchenrechtlichen Gegebenheiten sowie die theologischen Überzeugungen zum pastoralen Berufsbild im Vordergrund. Aus praktischer Perspektive galt es bspw. die architektonischen, technischen u.a. Barrieren oder die Anpassungsfähigkeit der Kirchenpraxis und der Arbeitsgestaltung zu erforschen. Dazu wurden die Themen Inklusion, Behinderung und Leitungsverantwortung in der Kirche zuerst theoretisch bzw. interdisziplinär aufgearbeitet und ihr Verhältnis zueinander bestimmt. Danach wurden betroffene Leiterinnen und Leiter (Pfarrpersonen, Priester, Pastoren u. Ä.) aus Landes- und Freikirchen der Schweiz einzeln und gemeinsam mit Partnerinnen oder Partnern, Vorgesetzten und Mitgliedern von lokalen Kirchenleitungen in einer Gruppendiskussion befragt. In der Danteanalyse wurden drei empirisch-theologische Typen bzw. theoretische Inklusionskonzepte herausgearbeitet.
