Niquice, Fernando Lives Andela January 2013 (has links)
Destes, quatro eram do sexo masculino e duas do sexo feminino. / The dissertation consisted of two studies on youth 16 to 25 years in reclusion situation in Maputo, Mozambique. The Study 1 was documentary and described the biosociodemographic characteristics of these youth. Furthermore, significant proportion of youth fulfilled correctional sentences, were convicted for the first time, had no occupation or worked in the informal sector, and came from the suburban neighborhoods of Maputo. The Study 2 was qualitative and analyzed the content of the interviews of six incarcerated youth. Of these, four were male and two female. The results indicated that the committing of the crimes was related to meeting basic survival needs in the context of socioeconomic and emotional limitations experienced in the moment . The youths showed an interest in reintegrate into society and to develop personal projects. These results suggest the need for implementation of structured psychosocial programs for those people after release from prison.

Laikas ir veiksmas A. Čechovo apsakymuose / Time and action in A. Cechovas stories

Kondrotienė, Natalija 09 June 2005 (has links)
Summary Speaking about peculiarities of Cechovas creation in scientific literature, the two main features should be pointed out, i.e, laconic depiction and writer’s ability to present three periods of a character life in a short story. In most of his works the action is short, but it reveals a long period of the hero’s life. Taking this feature into consideration we have the aim to analyze five stories and to prove that short stories may contain the past, present and future prospects are presented. At the same time the content highlights plenty of hero’s life moments, which are of great importance. The attention was paid on the open endings. Cechovas manages to end his stories in a particular way, that for the reader the future of all the heroes in the story is clear.

Förändrade rörelsemönstren i samhället under Covid-19-pandemin : Och vilka miljömässiga vinster det innebär

Telleborn, Tobias January 2021 (has links)
This project addresses subjects such as movement- and travel patterns, routines in travel and traveling behavior, with the aim of investigating and determining whether or not there has been a change in these during the pandemic due to restrictions and also if this may or may not have meant any reliefs in environmental impact. Through collected data given in a collaboration by the local municipality offices and local public transport company, and also by performing a survey, it has been shown that there have been comprehensive changes in peoples movement- and travel patterns and ways of traveling. It includes among other things that the vehicle traffic amount has reduced, and the use of public transport has been considerably reduced followed by an increase in traveling by bike. In total the average travel distance by car per person and week reduced by almost 50 percent and also air travel saw a heavily decrease in use during the pandemic. Lastly the future after the Covid-19-pandemic when restrictions and such are going to be removed where discussed and also issued in the survey. Even if it is hard, almost impossible, to prophesy or predict the future based of collected data it has been shown through the respondent’s answers and motivations in the matter that the pandemic most likely has affected people with a more lasting impact that will partly carry on for some time after the pandemics end. That does not imply on all people, some are very eager and express a hunger to go back to “old routines” and travel more. Further research has to be done to conclude any longtime affects.

Kakeu Kengne, Justin Johnson 08 1900 (has links)
My thesis is composed of three essays on environmental and natural resource economics under uncertainty. The first essay proposes a differential game analysis of the quest for hegemony among countries as a generator of global pollution. The second essay uses stock market data on market capitalization to estimate a stochastic version of the Hotelling rule of exhaustible resource exploitation and uses it to infer on the riskiness of investment in nonrenewable resources and its effect on the resource price paths. The third essay shows how uncertainty about future prospects modifies the Hotelling rule in a context of risk diversification.
