Anpassning av timmerhus enligt nya energikrav i BBR 29 : Glass House Villa 126 / Adaptation of log houses according to new energy requirements in BBR 29 : Glass House Villa 126

Carlsson, Linus, Liljenberg, David January 2021 (has links)
On September 1, 2020, the consolidated version of the National Board of Housing, Building and Planning's Building Rules BBR 29 took effect. A large part of the difference from the previous version was the increased demand for energy management. The new requirement that has been established means that the mean U-value has been reduced from 0.4 W/m2K to 0.3 W/m2K. This is a measurement of how well a building is insulated. Almost four years ago, the company Kontio expanded to Sweden from Finland. They mainly sell holiday homes and living houses built from self-made logs with cross-laminated arctic pine in various dimensions. Their houses are sold on the Finnish market, but in Sweden only certain timber dimensions have met the old requirement from BBR 28. With the new BBR 29, the building shell must be adapted to the new requirement. Ceilings and floors are pre-designed with low U-values and for this reason further improvements are best made in the wall construction. Using the given conditions, a number of wall constructions were developed for calculating the U-value. These gave rise to different type solutions that vary with, in addition to the wall construction, window types and reduced window areas. Calculated U-value for wall construction was the basis for calculating the mean U-value together with the U-value for windows, floors and ceilings. Changes in wall constructions can result in the occurrence of moisture problems, therefore these walls are tested using a Glaser-table which examines, by stationary calculations, whether there is any risk in the adapted constructions. This project also analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of pine timber and its heat storage function due to its high heat capacity. Based on the literature study, it is analyzed and investigated where in the construction the massive timber structure is placed with the greatest advantage in relation to the thermal insulation. All wall constructions needed to be adapted except 275 where only the window type was changed to those with a lower U-value. When adapting wall constructions with timber dimensions 135 and 205, more extensive measures were required. By insulating the walls, changing window types and reducing window areas, the requirement for the mean U-value could be achieved in various ways. None of these wall constructions showed signs of moisture technical problems.

Godin, Éric 01 1900 (has links)
Macrocyclization reactions can be problematic due to poor selectivity of cyclization versus oligomerization. As such, difficult purification of complex mixtures and/or the use of complex and cumbersome experimental setups are often necessary. The drawbacks can complicate synthetic pathways and deter chemists from exploring the unique chemical space of macrocycles. Our group has developed a new macrocyclization strategy called phase separation strategy, a protocol enabling one-pot macrocyclization reactions at much higher concentration. In the present thesis, the challenges associated with macrocyclization reactions are tackled by the development and the application of new strategies. First, the phase separation strategy protocol was used to synthesize the backbone of complex macrocycles like the natural product ivorenolide A (Chapter 4) and the antiviral vaniprevir (Chapter 6). With the use of the phase separation strategy protocol, macrocyclization reactions were performed at concentrations 120 times higher than traditional protocols while maintaining a high level of macrocyclization selectivity. Second, the development of a new copper-catalyzed synthesis of alkynyl sulfides for the synthesis of a macrocyclic peptide library is described (Chapter 8). The macrocyclic peptides were also tagged with several biomarkers by diversification of the resulting alkynyl sulfide motif. Finally, the scope of the intermolecular copper-catalyzed reaction was explored (Chapter 9). Using the method, bis-heteroatom substituted alkynes were synthesized and modification of unprotected cysteine sidechains was possible. Furthermore, the mechanistic reaction pathway of the new alkynyl sulfide synthesis was studied experimentally and computationally.

Attitudinal shifting: a grounded theory of health promotion in coronary care

Watson, Sheona Unknown Date (has links)
Current New Zealand health policy encourages collaborative health promotion in all sectors of health service delivery. The integrated approach to the acute management of coronary heart disease in a coronary care unit, combining medical therapy and lifestyle change, supports clinical health promotion. The aim of this study was to use the grounded theory approach to discover the main concerns of nurses' promoting health in an acute coronary care setting and to explain the processes that nurses used to integrate health promotional activities into their practice. Seventeen registered nurses from three coronary care units within a large metropolitan city in New Zealand were interviewed. Data were constantly compared and analysed using Glaser's emergent approach to grounded theory. The main concern for nurses promoting health within coronary care was ritualistic practice. In this study, ritualistic practice concerns the medically-based protocols, routines, language and technology that drives nursing practice in coronary care. This concern was resolved via the socio-cultural process of attitudinal shifting that occurs over time involving three stages. The three conceptual categories, environmental pressures, practice reality and responsive action are the main components of the theory of attitudinal shifting. In environmental pressures nurses experience a tension between specialist medically-dominated nursing practice and the generalist nursing role of promoting health. In practice reality, nurses become aware that the individual needs of patients are not being met. This causes role conflict until the nurse observes colleagues who role model possibilities for practice, working with patients to promote health. Responsive action sees the nurse engaging in self-development, also focusing on the nurse-patient relationship, thereby enabling active patient involvement in individual health-promoting decisions. The findings from this research have implications for nursing practice and education. With the increasing specialisation in nursing practice, these findings may be of interest to nurses working in delegated medical roles where the reality of everyday practice precludes nurses from undertaking their essential nursing role. Health care facilities also need to ensure that there are opportunities for the personal and professional development of nursing staff. The place of health promotion within nursing undergraduate curricula needs to be examined, as many nurses found that they were ill prepared for undertaking health promotional activities.

Pedagogisk-psykologiske rådgiveres tilnærminger til problematferd i skolen

Stenberg, Oddbjørn January 2006 (has links)

The client's helical path : a grounded theory of unsuccessful therapy experiences

Shaw, Stephen C. 02 September 2003
A grounded theory methodology, justified by the logic of methodical hermeneutics, was employed to guide both the collection and analysis of data produced from interviews with 11 psychotherapy clients who reported having unsuccessful experiences. Ultimately, I put forth the Clients Helical Path as a theoretical model grounded in clients' unsuccessful therapy experiences. The theory subsumes four subcategories: three cyclically-related subcategory processes (Embarking, Evaluating, and Ending), and a fourth category (Familiarity) that provides a temporal/experiential dimension. Clients embark upon a course of therapy with certain expectations; they later evaluate their experience on the basis of these expectations, and then end therapy when they adjudicate it as not sufficiently successful. Clients' familiarity with the enterprise of therapy is enhanced with each successive therapy experience, and this familiarity implicates clients' subsequent expectations, evaluations, and endings. The theory contextualizes clients experiences of unsuccessful therapy at the level of the individual, rather at the level of the course of therapy, thereby providing an understanding for how past therapy experiences influence future ones. This feature of the theory represents a significant departure from and contribution to the existing psychotherapy research literature. I discuss the unique nature and utility of the theory, its overlap with existing empirical findings, as well as its limitations. I suggest directions for future research, and I provide multiple credibility checks.
