Masnerová, Lucie January 2011 (has links)
This diploma thesis in its theoretical and practical parts focuses on free play of children in pre-school facilities. Kindergarten is the place of early secondary socialization of the child and that's why one part of the diploma thesis is centred on this theme. The theoretical part helps for a deeper understanding of play, especially with 2-4 year old children and builds a foundation for the research. The practical part, based on one year's observation, monitors development of free play of a homogeneous group of children and finds how the quality of play changes with individuals as well as the group. Another focus lies on comparing two separate groups of children in their free play - one group having long term experience with free play and one without such regular experience. The main method of the research is observation. The results of the research points to the importance of free play for a pre-school age child and confirms the influence of free play in the process of early secondary socialization.

Mocný stisk nemocných: zobrazení fyzicky postižených hrdinů v TV seriálu Hra o trůny a jeho publikum optikou disability studies / Powerful push of patients: display physically disabled heroes in TV series game of thrones and its audience through the lens of disability studies

Kondratová, Irina January 2015 (has links)
This thesis discusses the ways of how physically handicapped fans of Game of Thrones, a television series, identify with characters like or dislike and answers the questions how physically handicapped fans choose who they favour and who they don't, how they identify with them and how is their interpretation linked to their own experience of being handicapped and how their social reality influences how they perceive the media reality. The research reveals orthodoxies of power of the dominating ideology of being fit, against which "the ill" and "powerless", define themselves, albeit subconsciously; it describes the difficulties, connected with their handicap, which they project into the series, behaviour strategies resulting from this phenomenon and how the world around interferes; and, last but not least, it confirms sociological premises of deepening empathy on the basis of different dimensions of one's own identities and experience. The qualitative research of audience is based on semi- structured interviews and deploys the interpretative approach, while the results are coded using the method of anchored theory. Totalitní kýč a underground. Sémiotický model. / Totalitariankitsch and underground. The semiotic model.

Kubíček, Jan January 2011 (has links)
As a consequence of a process of semiotic totalization of public life in totalitarian societies, a system of social, esthetic, ethic and language norms becomes radically altered. This system is partially described in Totalitarian kitsch section, in chapters called Totality, Kitsch, Art, Language, Esthetics and Myth. In a passage called Underground, totalitarian realism and Egon Bondy's and Ivan Vodseďálek's gauche poetry is interpreted as a model reply on totalitarian society conditions. A concept of total poetry is introduced. We ask a question: what actually total poetry is, if not an art? Eleven answers are being sequentially found: 1. it is a complex of apocryphal texts of socialistic realism, 2. it is a game about art, 3. it is culture at the phase of being born, 4. a method of phenomenological reduction, 5. a language game, 6. de-construction of myth, 7. occupation of game position within totalitarian society, 8. a myth, 9. a semiotic clearance process carried out through semiotic rage, 10. symbolization of reality and realization of symbol, 11. call for a game. In the end, we try to define total poetry in relationship to avant-garde, modern art and postmodernism. Three points have been discussed in a chapter called Kitsch and underground: 1. recapitulation of acceptation of Egon Bondy's and...

Daniel Keyes: Flowers for Algernon - české překlady a dramatizace / Daniel Keyes: Flowers for Algernon - Czech translations and dramatizations

Melicharová, Lucie January 2013 (has links)
The thesis looks at the Czech life of the Flowers for Algernon short story written by Daniel Keyes. It aims to present an analytical comparison of the short story translations and dramatizations created in the Czech cultural environment and to define their invariants. The theoretical part of the thesis informs the reader about the life and work of Daniel Keyes and depicts the process of creation of the short story in question. Furthermore, it outlines its main themes and stylistic features, as well as its reception both in the U. S. and abroad. Special attention is paid to the reception in Czechoslovakia, or rather the Czech Republic, namely to the two short story translations (Černý, 1976; Markus, 2003) and the three original dramatizations (Říhová, 1988; Hruška, 1993; Heger, 2010). All pieces of work are presented in their broader socio-cultural context, with due regard to their authors. This contextualisation lays the foundations for the subsequent translatological analysis, which is based on Gideon Toury's descriptive model (1995). In accordance with Toury, the Czech short stories are seen as products of the target culture. Therefore, the assumed translations are first assessed in terms of their acceptability in this culture and these hypotheses are then tested by means of comparison of...

Princip hry v románech Tres tristes tigres a Rayuela / The principle of play in the novel Tres tristes tigres and Rayuela

Štefanová, Veronika January 2013 (has links)
This thesis investigates the principle of play in the diverse constituents of the modern novel, represented by the works of Rayuela by Julio Cortázar and Tres tristes tigres by Guillermo Cabrera Infante. In the chapter 1, it inquires into the conception of play in the point of view of the philosophy (mainly of Eugen Fink), sociology (of Roger Caillois) and psycology (of Carl Gustav Jung). In the chapter 2, it focuses from the point of view of the literary science on the play in the modern novel and it gives some examples from the world-literature. The chapter 3, which is the center of the thesis, applies the outcomes of the previous chapters in the analysis and comparison of the principle of play on the thematic, language, compositive and narrative level directly in the novels Rayuela and Tres tristes tigres, and on the finish it tries to formulate the sight of the world and the man in both works.
