The data were collected through applies questionnaire to 60 (sixty) micro and small entrepreneurs of the segment of commerce of construction materials located in the city of Rio de Janeiro and Baixada Fluminense. It is important to stand out that this sample of entrepreneurs is requested to daily take innumerable decisions on the most varied aspects of its business and, usually, without the support of specialized consultants. It was observed that, the majority of the people, uses heuristical in the simplification of the decision process and, in many cases suffers the effect from the same vieses emanated of, generating decisions oblique. The collected material will be able to serve of base for the elaboration of deeper studies, with the purpose to help to the elaboration of materials for programs of managerial development for this important group of entrepreneurs, who are the generating greater of jobs of this country, allowing that they improve its power to decide processes and they can gain more efficiency and effectiveness, forming base for the growth of its companies. / O objetivo geral deste trabalho consiste em analisar como os micros e pequenos empres?rios lidam com o processo de tomada de decis?o, visando identificar as principais dificuldades, falhas e armadilhas que possam cometer neste processo fundamental para garantir primeiro a sobreviv?ncia de sua organiza??o e fornecer bases para o seu crescimento . Os dados foram coletados atrav?s de question?rio aplicado a 60 ( sessenta ) micro e pequenos empres?rios do segmento de com?rcio de materiais de constru??o localizados na cidade do Rio de Janeiro e Baixada Fluminense . ? importante ressaltar que esse universo de empreendedores ? solicitado a tomar diariamente in?meras decis?es sobre os mais variados aspectos de seu neg?cio e, via de regra, sem o apoio de assessorias especializadas. Constatamos que, como a maioria das pessoas utiliza heur?sticas na simplifica??o do processo decis?rio e, em muitos casos sofrem os efeitos dos vieses emanados das mesmas, gerando decis?es enviesadas. O material coletado poder? servir de base para a elabora??o de estudos mais profundos, com a finalidade de ajudar a elabora??o de materiais para programas de desenvolvimento gerencial para esse importante grupo de empres?rios, que s?o os maiores geradores de empregos deste pa?s, permitindo que melhorem seus processos decis?rios e possam ganhar mais efici?ncia e efic?cia, formando base para o crescimento de suas empresas.

Sozialer Wert der Stadtbibliothek Wolgast

Diese Arbeit verfolgt das Ziel, soziale Wirkungen einer ausgewählten Bibliothek gültig und verlässlich nachzuweisen. Sie beschäftigt sich mit dem vielschichtigen Problem, Tätigkeitszusammenhänge zu untersuchen, die bedeutsame Veränderungen hervorrufen und fragt nach dem Einfluss der Bibliothek in individueller und gesellschaftlicher Hinsicht. Dies steht im Zusammenhang mit der Leistungsbeurteilung einer Bibliothek. Ausgehend von verschiedenen Wirkungsdefinitionen im Kontext ihres theoretischen Hintergrundes (Kapitel eins) werden unterschiedliche Ansätze der Leistungs- und Wirkungsmessung verglichen (Kapitel zwei). Darauf aufbauend wird die Wahl des social-process-audit-Ansatzes begründet und führt im Kapitel drei zur Darstellung des Forschungsdesigns. Im Kapitel vier werden die Forschungsergebnisse vorgestellt. Die Ergebnisse dieser empirischen Untersuchung zeigen, dass die Wirkungen der ausgewählten Bibliothek gesellschaftlich bedeutsam sind. Durch ihr Angebot bewirkt diese Bibliothek nicht nur vielfältigen Nutzen, sondern auch Veränderungen innerhalb der Lebensbereiche ihrer Interessengruppen. Diese langfristigen sozialen Wirkungen können für die Bibliothek von strategischer Bedeutung sein. Die Besonderheiten der Arbeit bestehen darin, (1) dass gesellschaftliche Wirkungsbezüge gültig nachgewiesen worden sind, (2) dass nicht auf Nutzungszusammenhänge eingeschränkt, sondern im Kontext des Auftrages der Bibliothek untersucht wurde und (3) dass das Einbeziehen der Positionen aller relevanter Interessengruppen – sowohl in Hinblick auf das Ermitteln der erwünschten Wirkungen als auch der erreichten Wirkungen – eine entscheidende Grundlage darstellte. Die im Kapitel fünf enthaltenen Schlussbetrachtungen beschäftigen sich mit Problemen der wissenschaftlich-empirischen Methode des Interviewens, der Verallgemeinerung der Untersuchungsergebnisse und ausgewählten aktuellen Fragestellungen. / This thesis aims at validly and reliably proving social effects (Impact, Outcome) of a selected library. It deals with the complex problem of surveying the context of activities causing significant changes. Apart from that, it looks into the library''s influence on the individual and on society, thus furnishing results which facilitate the assessment of a library''s achievements. Starting with various definitions of outcomes in the context of their theoretical background (chapter one), different approaches to assessing performace, impact and outcome are compared (chapter two). Based on that, the selection of the social-process-audit approach is justified and then the research design described (chapter three). In chapter four, the results of the survey are presented. The empirical study proves that the effects of the selected library are socially significant. This library''s offer does not only bring about a variety of benefits, but it also causes changes in its stakeholders'' lives – long-term social effects that may be of strategic significance for the library. The special features of the thesis are (1) the valid proof of social effects, (2) the fact that the survey has not been restricted to ways of use, but has been carried out in the context of the library''s task and (3) that the inclusion of the positions of all relevant interest groups (stakeholders) – with regard to both determining the intended effects and the ones that have been actually reached – has built a decisive basis. The concluding remarks (chapter five) consider problems of the scientific-empirical method of interviewing and contain a generalization of the thesis''s results as well as selected topical questions.

Gestão de riscos e prevenção de perdas: um novo paradigma para a segurança nas organizações

Based in this, two different analytical problems had structuralized the research: A) To demonstrate the absence of an activity regulated between the public and private security, presenting as it is played and justifying by means of historical and methodological aspects the responsibility of the actors on the losses generated for the current form of management; B) the challenge of the management of risks and loss prevention, leaving of the estimated one that the acceptability of treatment of the risks is based not only by the evaluation technique, but mainly in the involved intuitive aspects in the decision made. In general lines, the intention to carry through a theoretical quarrel and an analysis of the speech of controllers of organizations, to the end, is to arrive at the conclusion of that if it cannot more admit the different sides of security and a bigger universe, where if does not have to look for to only decide the urgent problem, but also to participate and to contribute in the life of the organization, by means of a cycle of accompaniment of risks based in preventive activities. Moreover, a new involved approach in the process of understanding of the heuristically ones of the organization brings the possibility of uneven benefits in that it concerns to provide actions that if locate inside of one continuum, whose extremities are in playing activities with a maximum degree of risks displaying the life of the organization the concretion of a starter fact of damages and keeping the activity end of the organization stopped in the search of a degree of risk next to zero. / Esta dissertação analisa a possibilidade de mudança organizacional na atividade de segurança dentro das organizações, assumindo um novo paradigma: gestão de riscos e prevenção de perdas. Baseado nisto, dois diferentes problemas analíticos estruturaram a pesquisa: A) Demonstrar a ausência de uma atividade regulamentada entre a segurança pública e privada, apresentando como é desempenhada e justificando por meio de aspectos históricos e metodológicos a responsabilidade dos atores sobre as perdas geradas pela atual forma de gestão; B) O desafio da gestão de riscos e prevenção de perdas, partindo do pressuposto que a aceitabilidade de tratamento dos riscos é fundamentada não somente pela avaliação técnica, mas principalmente nos aspectos intuitivos envolvidos na tomada de decisão. Em linhas gerais, a intenção de realizar uma discussão teórica e uma análise do discurso de dirigentes de organizações, ao final, é chegar à conclusão de que não se pode mais admitir a atividade de segurança dissociada de um universo maior, onde não se deva procurar apenas resolver o problema emergencialmente, mas também participar e contribuir na vida da organização, por meio de um ciclo de acompanhamento de riscos pautado em atividades preventivas. Além disso, um novo enfoque envolvido no processo de compreensão das heurísticas da organização traz a possibilidade de benefícios ímpares no que concerne a prover ações que se posicionem dentro de um continuum, cujos extremos estão em desempenhar atividades com um grau máximo de riscos expondo a vida da organização à concretização de um fato originador de danos e manter a atividade fim da organização estagnada na busca de um grau de risco próximo de zero.
