The goal of my Master's thesis is to evaluate which requirements of the certification standard ČSN EN ISO 9001:2008 and of the quality legislation the organization Alois Hynek meets. The other goal is to create a documentation which is required by the standard ČSN EN ISO 9001:2008 and to suggest which steps need to be taken to meet all of ČSN EN ISO 9001:2008 and legislation requirements. The Master's thesis is divided into two parts -- the theoretical one and the practical one. In the theoretical part I define the term quality and I list approaches of management of quality and laws applicable in quality. In the practical part I mention basic information about the organization Alois Hynek -- its history, products and organizational structure -- and I analyze which requirements of the standard ČSN EN ISO 9001:2008 and of legislation the organization meets and which areas have to be improved. In cases where the organization doesn't meet the requirements I suggest a solution. Documentation required by ČSN EN ISO 9001:2008 is in the attachment of my Master's thesis.

Este trabalho analisa como uma organização do terceiro setor pode formatar
a implantação de um sistema de gestão da qualidade, de forma gradual, a fim de
atingir a meta da certificação segundo a norma NBR ISO 9001:2008, utilizando-se
da estrutura de implantação do Modelo de Excelência em Gestão da Fundação
Nacional da Qualidade, nível de Compromisso com a Excelência. Esse
questionamento partiu do trabalho desenvolvido junto às ONGs da região de Santa
Maria, RS pelo Núcleo de Excelência Empresarial - NEE em parceria com a CVI
Refrigerantes através do Programa CVI Social. Assim, optou-se por realizar uma
Matriz de Relação entre os dois sistemas em questão, incluindo os requisitos dos
Critérios de Compromisso com Excelência que apresentassem baixa relação com os
requisitos da NBR ISO 9001:2008. A partir desse momento, utilizando-se como
objeto de estudo a Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Esposende / Centro de Apoio
Social Ernestino Miranda e seguindo as características do Sistema de Avaliação da
Gestão Simplificado, elaborado pelo Programa Gaúcho de Qualidade e
Produtividade, delineou-se um Plano de Implantação de um Sistema de Gestão,
integrando os dois sistemas mencionados e aplicável através do Diagnóstico para
implantação gradativa do Sistema de Gestão Integrado ISO/MEG. Dessa forma,
chega-se à conclusão de que o referido diagnóstico pode ser utilizado tanto pelas
organizações do terceiro setor quanto por outras organizações e sua aplicação às
ONGs da Região de Santa Maria, RS, como o desenvolvimento do próprio sistema

Ted Bernhardtz at work (T.B) är ett litet och innovativt företag med stora kunder. T.B harvuxit utanför gränserna av vad som kan beskrivas som en enkel och överskådligföretagsstruktur. Ett företag som är i förändrings- och utvecklingsfas kan ha svårt att hanteraarbetet i ett ostrukturerat kvalitetsledningssystem och tillförlitligheten i företaget kan kommaatt svikta om strategier är otillräckliga.Examensarbetets syfte är att kartlägga företagsorganisationens nuvarande struktur ochidentifiera brister gentemot kvalitetsstandarderna ISO 9000:2005 och ISO 9001:2008.Därefter skall en företagsanpassad grund byggas upp som förbättrar företagets effektivitet ochförmåga att öka kundtillfredsställelsen. En involvering av medarbetare skall införlivas så attledningssystemets tillförlitlighet behålls.Genom teoristudier, intervjuer och företagsanalysering har en kartläggning av företagetsfrämsta brister och behov genomförts. Den visade att det fanns flertalet rutiner ocharbetsmoment som var mer än tillräckliga för att tåla en tredjepartsrevision. Kartläggningenvisade även på brister i fastställandet av rutiner och resurser samt att viss dokumenteringsaknades eller var svår att lokalisera. Det saknades ett bra upplägg för sambandet iprocesserna och vilka delar som påverkar varandra. De hade inte ett målinriktatförbättringsarbete baserat på fakta. Företagskultur och värderingar är utan anmärkning. Allaär engagerade och involverade i att överträffa kundernas förväntan.Utifrån en vanlig processbeskrivningsmetod fördelades aktiviteter in i ”huvudprocesser”,”ledningsfunktioner” och ”stödfunktioner”. Förbättringsarbetet beskrivs utifrånhuvudaktiviteterna med enskilda styrningsscheman. Examensarbetet resulterade i en grund fören processinriktad organisation med ett utkast till en handbok för dokumenteringen. Fortsattimplementering uppmuntrades via inspirationsseminarie för samtliga anställda och enhandlingsplan framställdes till ledningen.

Martin Ivarsson, manager and part owner at Landeryd’s Mechanical Workshop (LMW), Landeryd, Sweden, initiated this project. This because of a new released ISO 9001 version that LMW has to implement before the 15th of September 2018 to remain certified. Since LMW is ISO 9001:2008 certified the project members only needed to identify the differences among the 2015 and 2008 version to see what LMW has to do to get certified. There are approximately 1.1 million ISO 9001 certificates issued worldwide. An ISO 9001 certification increase organizations ability to satisfy customer needs and customers can rely on that the products and services provided are of consistently good quality. ISO 9001 can also work as a tool to streamline the organization’s processes and make them more efficient. Since the ISO 9001 is reviewed every five year it helps organizations to keep current in an ever- changing world. Landeryd’s Mechanical Workshop has been ISO 9001 certified since 2002 and the “ISO- think” is deeply rooted within the company. LMW is a small owner-controlled company with only 18 employees. ISO 9001:2015 is applicable on different kinds of organizations in various scales. Comparing to previous versions of ISO 9001 the new version is more adaptable. This makes it more beneficial for the organizations but harder for the auditors that certifies. One major conclusion is that LMW will have more freedom of document handling with the new ISO version. This report highlights LMW’s status today in accordance to the new ISO 9001 version, and estimates how much effort that is needed for a successful revision. Readers of this report will benefit from the results, since much is applicable on all types of organizations or companies.

Context. Several quality standards have been developed over the years in order to define quality metrics for an organization’s product and even processes. One of the famous standards among them is the ISO 9000 standards which started several years ago. Since its beginning, ISO standards have seen several upgrades. Currently ISO 9001:2008 is in use which is being upgraded to ISO 9001: 2015. Companies have to migrate to the new scheme within three years of the prescribed time in order to retain certification to the ISO 9001 standards. The present thesis is targeted at finding the expected changes and the work improvements in the context of software engineering. Objectives. The main aim of the study is to find the expected changes and work improvements needed to migrate to the new version. This is done by fulfilling the following objectives, they are: analyze the expected changes and motivations for the changes in the new ISO 9001 version. Understand the required work and improvements needed for a software organization to successfully upgrade their certification to the new ISO 9001:2015 version. Predict the estimated cost/time /effort that could be incurred for organization to get certified to the forthcoming ISO version. Methods. In order to meet the objectives, a literature review was done and the changes incorporated in the new scheme are identified. A survey was conducted in order to predict the impact of cost, time and effort on the new changes in moving to ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015. The survey was sent only to software organizations as the context of this study is only restricted to quality in software engineering. The collected data was analyzed using bi-variate analysis and Friedman test on SPSS tool. Results. From the literature review, the changes brought about in the new scheme were identified. These changes made were used in the survey questionnaire designed. The survey questionnaire was designed to investigate the expectations of the organizations on the time taken, cost incurred and the effort needed to implement these changes. A total of 63 responses were recorded from the survey. Conclusions. From the analysis it was found that several key changes were identified in the new scheme when compared to the old one. From the survey responses, the cost needed for implementing the changes is expected to be moderate, the time needed is predicted as less than 1 year and the effort needed for implementing the changes was estimated to be more. Along with this, the document also holds clear results about clause by clause expected time, cost and effort estimates and the reasons for these assumptions.
