Developing Guidelines for Structured Process Data Transfer / Utvecklande av riktlinjer för strukturerad process dataöverföringAmgren, Pontus, Olausson, Emil January 2023 (has links)
Today, society is ever-increasing in its use of technology and computers. The increase in technology creates a need for different programming languages with unique properties. The creation of a system may require multiple languages for multiple processes that need to transfer data between one another. There are several solutions for sharing data between processes with their respective strengths and weaknesses. The differences create a problem of needing to understand the data transfer solutions to use them effectively. This thesis addresses the problem of there not existing any guidelines for data transfer solutions. The purpose is to create guidelines for choosing a data transfer solution. The goal is to help software developers find a data transfer solution that fits their needs. The thesis is meant to inform and contribute to the understanding of possible solutions for sharing data between processes. A literature study and practical study were needed to get that understanding. The literature study was conducted to understand the solutions and to be able to compare them. After that, a practical study was performed to work with the solutions and gain experience. The study was meant to gain measurements for later comparisons of data transfer solutions. The measurements followed the comparative criteria of speed , resource usage , and language support . The result was the creation of guidelines that displayed different scenarios based on the comparative criteria. For each situation, there was a recommendation of solutions that would help in the given situation. These results accomplished the goal and purpose by providing guidelines that could help software developers choose a data transfer solution.

Electronic data interchange : an implementation methodologyMeyer, Ettienne 11 1900 (has links)
The purpose of the research is to propose and evaluate a
methodology for implementing EDI to assist organisations in
reaping the anticipated benefits. The research involved the
systematic analysis of the state of the art of EDI and
paradigms of methodologies, to define a model for the EDI
implementation methodology, and to define criteria for
evaluating such a model. The methodology was developed and
modelled utilising the software process model, as adopted by
Boehm (1988) and later duPlessis and van der Walt (1992),
as a framework. Next a synthesis of the assimilated
knowledge and brainstorming of project teams involved in
EDI pilot projects, was used to systematically develop an EDI
implementation methodology. The methodology was evaluated
by utilising it in the implementation of EDI between two
organisations, Computer Equipment Brokers (PTY) and
Marksec (PTY). It was concluded that the methodology was
efficient for implementing EDI. / Computing / M. Sc. (Information Systems)

The fragmentation of the retail payments environment between the 25 (or more) differentmember states's national systems constitutes an obstacle to completing the internal market, undermines the European monetary integration and reduces the economic efficiency of theEuropean Union. In response to these problems, the banking industry created the SEPA.SEPA is the area where all economic actors are able to make and receive payments in euros, within Europe, whether between or within national boundaries under the same basicconditions, rights and obligations, regardless of their location. This thesis, which focuses on the SEPA building, is in the field of industrial economics. Itaddresses three questions : Why was it necessary to establish the SEPA ? What does it consistof ? What will its impact on the retail payments environment in euros be ?The first chapter presents the retail payments environment in Europe after the introduction ofthe single currency. By using economic theories on network industries, it describes theunification's steps of this environment. The second chapter provides a detailed vision of the SEPA. It explains its effects through acosts-benefits analysis, then shows the state of its implementation. Finally, the third chapter reveals the unplanned effects of SEPA. By raising the contributionof the literature on two-sided markets, it treats interchange fees and the possibility ofanticompetitive behavior in the card payment industry.

Dynamic Systems for Screening, Control and Identification of Protein-Ligand InteractionsLarsson, Rikard January 2008 (has links)
Dynamic systems for screening, control and identification of different protein-ligand interactions are presented. Dynamic chemistry is used to produce new compounds/constituents in situ that can interact with a target molecule. Several entities can be introduced at the same time and interact with one another. These molecules make a dynamic combinatorial library (DCL) which is used in dynamic combinatorial chemistry (DCC). DCC is a recently introduced approach to generate dynamically interchanging libraries of compounds. These libraries are made of different building blocks that reversibly interact with one another and spontaneously assemble to encompass all possible combinations. If a target molecule, for instance a receptor is added to the system and one or more molecules show affinity to the target species, these compounds will, according to Le Châtelier´s principle, be amplified on the expense of the other non-bonding constituents. To further advance the technique, especially when biological systems are targeted, new reaction types and new screening methods are necessary. This thesis describes the development of different reversible reactions, thiol/disulfide interchange, transthiolesterification and the nitroaldol (Henry) reaction as means of generating reversible covalent bond reactions. Two different types of target proteins are used, enzymes belonging to the hydrolase family and the plant lectin Concanavalin A. Dynamic combinatorial resolution (DCR) is presented. This new concept relies on the consecutive kinetic resolution of dynamic combinatorial libraries, leading to complete amplification and control of dynamically interchangeable processes. By applying a kinetically controlled step to a thermodynamically controlled system, complete transformation and amplification can be obtained. The concept has been demonstrated by developing transthiolesterification and nitroaldol exchange reactions to generate diversity, forming libraries under thermodynamic control, and used in one-pot processes with kinetically controlled enzyme-mediated resolution. The results demonstrate that the reaction types are useful for the generation of dynamic libraries, and that the dynamic combinatorial resolution concept is highly valuable for efficient substrate identification, asymmetric synthesis, and library screening. The thesis also describes three other dynamic chemistry protocols. The first one describes dynamic kinetic resolution (DKR) of nitroaldol adducts by combined lipase catalysis. The second one describes finding lectin inhibitors from a glycodisulfide library and the third one describes finding an inhibitor of acetylcholinesterase using a tandem driven dynamic self-inhibition approach. / <p>QC 20100818</p>

HOW ENABLE EFFICIENT INFORMATION INTERCHANGES IN VIRTUALPONNA, CHAITANYA, CHOWDARY BODEPUDI, RAKESH January 2011 (has links)
The Internet is a collection of computer networks; it is the most important networkingenvironment in the world, it used for information interchanges in virtual network. Wirelesstechnologies, such as Wi-Fi, WiMAX etc, can suggest more suitable and cooler way forinformation interchanges in virtual network. The most well-known ongoing wireless city projects are counting Wireless Philadelphia, GoogleWi-Fi Mountain View, Wireless Taipei City, and San Francisco Tech Connect project. Web haslimits of interactivity and presentation. The Web’s client-server architecture blocks informationexchange. Furthermore, most Web applications are only intended for conservative computers, not for mobile handheld devices. In period of information exchange on the Web, the new Web2.0 is suggested. Web 2.0 refers to a perceived or planned second generation of Internet-basedservices, such as public networking sites, wikis, communication tools, which highlight onlineteamwork and sharing among users.A virtual network or online community is a collection of people that may or may not chiefly ororiginally connect or interact via the Internet. Virtual network have also become an additionalform of communication amid people who know each other in actual life. Today, virtual networkcan be used insecurely for a diversity of social collections interacting via the Internet. It does notunavoidably mean that there is a solid bond between the members. The validation methods like internal validity, external validity and Reliability for this researchand how it affects these methods for our research. We also use interview method has beenconsidered for this research. We will use diagrams, models, prototypes, and texts, to illuminate our result. We will define allthe diagrams and models and prototypes in my own text. We will give the reference of theoriginal data collected from various sources where as from Internet, websites, books andJournals. / Program: Magisterutbildning i informatik
