A study of unlearning IT Instruments in health organization

Hussain, Syed Tajammul January 2009 (has links)

Nothing has been that consistent as the change is for the knowledge revolution to nourish and cultivate. Different forms of changes are occurring in organizations with the aim to improve the output performances. Health organizations have been more attached to the changes and the consequences that are brought with such changes. Such consequences are primarily connected with concepts of unlearning and learning. Any form of the change if initiated in organization asks for new routines learning, tasks conductions and the organizational cultural revolution. These new routines have been occurring at individual and organizational levels. The unlearning at any level in the organizational culture can be performed through investigating a primary connection between the organizational and individual routines. At the individual level unlearning brings a number of psychological, cognitive, social and moral hurdles. These hurdles at individual level basically help the organizational unlearning to occur. All of the routines occurring at individual level encompass the necessary information that goes from lower levels to upward, strengthening and holding the organizational memory firm.

This research was about to find how the health organizations unlearn the older practices and learn the new practices in IT change. This research had two streams i) finding whether there had been any connection between the organizational and individual unlearning in the cases of IT change, ii) For unlearning what kind of hurdles had been there at the individual level. Kalmar hospital pediatric department had been chosen for the empirical investigations. The research streams were about how and what parts which helped the researcher to go for the qualitative data gathering techniques.

The Results showed there had been a very thin connectivity between the organizational and individual unlearning. The results revealed and unfolded that many of the new learning are occurring simultaneously with discarding the older ways of practices. The impression of absorbing the change with respect to the unlearning had been varied from person to person. There had been a numbers of individual hurdles observed at individual level of unlearning. Feministická a literární publicistika Pavly Moudré / Feminism and Literary Criticism in Pavla Moudrá's Journalism

Słowik, Olga January 2014 (has links)
The thesis concentrates on the literary and feminist articles of Pavla Moudrá, which she published in the journals Ženská revue, Ženské listy, Ženský obzor and Ženský svět. An important part of the diploma is a complete bibliography of her texts issued in these periodicals. The analysis concentrates then mainly on articles connected to literature and "the woman question". It describes the author's opinions in their relationship with the peace movement, animal welfare, the anti-alcoholic movement and spiritualism. In all of these areas, she was involved as a promoter of spiritual values, leading to the spiritual revival of mankind, and for this purpose she also subordinated her journalism. She tried to thematise particular social problems, indicative of the decline of human morality, as well as writing more general texts, more metaphorical and strongly inspired by the theosophical movement. It influenced the way she perceived literature: she valued mainly the author's intention, which should be able to offer a positive example for the reader. She considered a poet, meaning a writer and an artist in general, to be a creature standing close to God and having the ability to see more than the average person. Also, a woman was, according to Moudrá, close to God: this relationship was given by the...

[en] PRACTICES, NARRATIVES, AND REFLECTIONS FROM THE JOURNAL OF A TEACHER FOR CHILDREN IN THE LEARNING PROCESS OF READING AND WRITING (ALFABETIZAÇÃO) / [pt] PRÁTICAS, NARRATIVAS E REFLEXÕES NO DIÁRIO DE UMA PROFESSORA DE ALFABETIZAÇÃO

MARIA FRANCISCA MENDES 24 August 2007 (has links)
[en] This dissertation - founded on the narratives extracted from the journal of a class in the learning process of reading and writing, and which was written from February through December 1999 - will be taken as an empiric basis for research, as it enables the analysis of cultural practices and interactions among the different characters, which constitute the school universe. Mikhail Mikhailovitc Bakhtin´s architecture - knowledge, ethics and esthetics - assists in the reflection of the journal compositional texture. Exotopia, alterity, dialogism, polyphony, enunciation, active responsive attitude, are just few of Bakhtin´s concepts that were brought to the text centrality. The first chapter´s main focus is the autobiography production - memories, journals, life-based stories - within a broader context in society. It also emphasizes the teacher´s authorship of the journal, as a tool for experiencing, critically thinking and reorganizing the practical aspects of life. The second chapter describes ways and hallmarks, which have contributed to the author´s professional choice. It also critically discusses cultural experiences in learning a written language, while facing the dilemmas and contradictions that are inherent to the pedagogic action. The third chapter is a deeper dive into the texture of the class journal. By questioning certain issues from four big enunciative streams - the speech of learning-in-process children, teachers, families and school - it underlines the role of each character in the identity world and subjectiveness, intertwined by the collective relational dynamics of the school daily routine.

A psicologia, a educação e as homossexualidades: o normal e o patológico nas produções discursivas das revistas Boletim de Psicologia, Revista Brasileira de Psicanálise e Cadernos de Pesquisa nas décadas de 1970 e 1980 / The psychology, the education and the homosexualities: the normal and the pathological in the discursive productions of the journals Boletim de Psicologia, Revista Brasileira de Psicanálise and Cadernos de Pesquisa from 1970 e 1980

Eddine, Eder Ahmad Charaf 14 December 2018 (has links)
The prejudices and moral judgments concerning human sexuality, especially when it escapes the social norm, do not go without repercussions in the scientific investigations, especially those located in the intersection between Psychology and Education. The following thesis has as its goal understand how the issue related to normality and pathology were joined in the way which the homosexualities were worked out by this knowledge fields in the 1970s and 1980s decades, having an empirical basis the reading of scientific journals published in this period from São Paulo. These decades were picked by the Foucauldian concepts of provenance and historical emergence. Putting in another way, considering these years as the turning point, in which homosexuality no longer has for Medicine and Psychiatry, for instance, the conception of deviant, pathological, to become a possibility of identity. This turning point, by pressure of the gay social movement, has as milestones the withdrawal of homosexuality from the list of mental disorders by the American Association of Psychiatry, in 1973; by American Association of Psychology, in 1975; and finally, by the World Health Organization, in 1990. In Brazil the depathologization occurred in 1985 by the Federal Board of Medicine. The Boletim de Psicologia, published by the Psychology Association of São Paulo, and the Revista Brasileira de Psicanálise, published by the Brazilian Society of Psychoanalysis of São Paulo, were integrated into the corpus of the research for the importance they exercised in the field of Brazilian psychology. Given its prestigie and impact capacity the journal Caderno de Pesquisa, published by the Carlos Chagas Foundation, was taken as a counterpoint in the educational field. Gathering the data, was found 414 copies of these journals, resulting a total of 3822 articles. 27 (0.6%) of the amount of articles present contents on the subject under investigation, of which 18 (0.4%) are in Psychology area and 9 (0.2%) of the Education area; 13 (0.3%) are part of the Psychology Bulletin, 5 (0.1%) of the Brazilian Journal of Psychoanalysis, and 9 (0.2%) of the Research Papers. The analyzes of the scientific discourses were carried out through theories that understand them as social formulations and historically localized. For that, the Foucaultian perspective was used as reference, particularly with regard to the power-knowledgesexuality relation, as well as the Queer theory. The outcome indicates the relative silence of these journals on a socially debated subject and with previous references in the field of Psychology and Education. Despite the movement to remove homosexuality from the list of pathological disorders, observed in the medical, psychiatric and psychological catalogs and the advances of the gay movement since the 1970s, the discourses present in these scientific journals are mostly elaborated mainly in the Bulletin of Psychology and in the Brazilian Journal of Psychoanalysis, in the sense of pathologizing homosexuality, pointing to their identification through clinical cases and also of psychological tests and, therefore, for the supposed cure and prevention. In an alternative sense, in the Cadernos de Pesquisa, discourses have been found that go in the liberalizing direction of sexualities, even though they do not directly address homosexuality. The analyzed articles are against the social, scientific and political gains of the homosexual, some remaining in the sense pathologizing and others not directly addressing the subject. Thus, even in a period considered repressive for dissident sexualities, discourses reaffirm domination over minds and bodies, which is inscribed in Foucault\'s critical repressive hypothesis.

ANA LUCIA CUNHA FERNANDES 05 March 2004 (has links)
[en] The thesis intends to identify the origin and the development of a specialized discourse about education, at the end of the XIX century, in Brazil and Portugal, in comparative perspective, through the analysis of pedagogical journals from both countries. Regarding the sources, the research deals with pedagogical journals, Revista Pedagógica, from Brazil, and Revista de Educação e Ensino, from Portugal. Our main work hypothesis considers that the pedagogical journals constitute a significant material since it may provide valuable indications about the diffusion and reception of the specialized educational discourse. The journals` analysis was made using the database Access Program in order to index the most quoted references, such as authors, journals, international organizations, countries, transnational communities and knowledge fields. This mechanism intended, on one hand, to look at the relations between the educational field and the other fields and, on the other hand, to study the connections between national fields or even transnational ones. Content and context are both central and interconnected elements in the whole analysis. The analysis of pedagogical journals, in this case, attempts to show the ways in which they contributed to the construction of an educational disciplinary field process. It was our intention to look at the history of the intellectuals` production relating it with the social demands tied up to this production. It was also our goal to understand the pedagogical journals as an arena where confluences and disputes take place and where different interests are involved in the production of discourses. In brief, the most relevant is to look at the pedagogical journals as objects through which we can analyze the building of a pedagogical field and the actors taking part in this same process.

Children Education represented: an analysis of Nova Escola journal (2005-2007).

Anjos, Cleriston Izidro dos 11 April 2008 (has links)
Having as its corpus the editions of the \"Nova Escola\" journal, from January 2005 to August 2007, the present research has as its main goal to provide a reflection about the representations related to Children Education that can be perceived by means of the matters conveyed by that journal. Considering the imaginary of Children Education conveyed by the media as the background of our study and having as a presupposition the fact that the referred publication has as its distinctive characteristic an aspiration to impose models to the teacher, I intend to analyze the ways by which the main theories concerning to Children Education are represented by the journal in that period of time. During the analyses, it was possible to infer that Nova Escola journal represents itself as the bearer of prescriptions by means of which the teacher can achieve excellence in his teaching activity. Also, we can say that, aiming at increasing the adherence to that image, the publication repeatedly conveys critical matters regarding to teaching activities, considering them outdated and giving origin to a process of segregation regarding to those who fails to fit the proposed reference frame. Regarding to the current theories that serve as the basis for the reflection about Children Education, we concluded that the \"Nova Escola\" journal aims to build an image of being the bearer of what is thought to be \"the most modern and current\" ideas, thus considering education a subject that needs to be in constant renewal to have quality, and disregarding the existence of a past as a possibility to understand the questions posed in the present.

Research in Information Systems: A Study of Diversity and Inter-Disciplinary Discourse in the AIS Basket Journals between 1995 and 2011

Bernroider, Edward, Córdoba, José-Rodrigo, Pilkington, Alan 01 September 2013 (has links) (PDF)
The paper investigates how Information Systems (IS) has emerged as the product of interdisciplinary discourses. The research aim in this study is to better understand diversity in IS research, and the extent to which the diversity of discourse expanded and contracted from 1995 to 2011. Methodologically, we apply a combined citations/co-citations analysis based on the eight Association for Information Systems (AIS) basket journals and the 22 subject-field classification framework provided by the Association of Business Schools (ABS). Our findings suggest that IS is in a state of continuous interaction and competition with other disciplines. General Management was reduced from a dominant position as a reference discipline in IS at the expense of a growing variety of other discourses including Business Strategy, Marketing, and Ethics and Governance among others. Over time, IS as a field moved from the periphery to a central position during its discursive formation. This supports the notion of IS as a fluid discipline dynamically embracing a diverse range of adjacent reference disciplines, whilst keeping a degree of continuing interaction with them. Understanding where IS is currently at allows us to better understand and propose fruitful avenues for its development in both academia and practice.

Cronistas de viagem e viajantes cronistas: o pêndulo da representação no Brasil colonial / The different profiles and sights of the narrators in the field of literature of travel in Brazil during the colonial period

Rinaldi, Lucinea 21 June 2007 (has links)
This dissertation looks into excerpts of four colonial journals written after Brazil has been encountered and proposes a reflection on the narratives produced by Portuguese and French voyagers, by analyzing the topic of the narrator\'s own words while intentionally aiming to represent the country itself from the XVI century on. This investigation proposes to rethink the different profiles and sights of the narrators and texts which can not merely be understood as documents of information about the new land, however a means of reaching the border of the fictional representation in the field of literature of travel.
