Det här arbetet har handlat om att skriva fem låtar med låttexter på fem veckor och att samtidigt kontinuerligt öva på att använda textförfattarverktyget Object writing. Jag ville ta reda på hur jag kunde få mig själv att börja skriva låtar som handlar om mitt liv och mina känslor för att på så sätt bli mer personlig i mitt uttryck. Låtarna är skrivna på engelska. Undersökningen har resulterat i fem inspelade låtar med text melodi och grundläggande ackompanjemang på gitarr. Jag kom fram till att Object writing hjälpte mig att vara mer närvarande i mitt skrivande generellt och att detta i sin tur gjorde att alla låtar jag skrev hade en tydlig koppling till mig och mitt liv.

Abstract The aim of this essay is to analyse what roll repression has had in the making of my unpublished collection of poems entitled Hopp som i hare. I examine how the autobiographical subject abortion has influenced the writing process and the outcome of the poems. By presenting literature that’s been important in the making of the collection I show some thoughts and ideas about Post Abortion Stress Disorder, a diagnosis without scientific grounds. In a discussion I go through the whole writing process from subject and genre choice through the revisions till the final version that were sent to be commented by the class in creative writing at Växjö University 2008. Finally I analyse my own reading before and after the workshop where the class commented the collection. It shows how repression influenced my reading before the workshop and how the class comments changed the way I red it afterwards. By hearing the class comment on my collection I also came to the conclusion that the poems was under repression and that constituted the ground of this essay.

This essay discusses my proposed collection of short stories. The aim has been to examine the texts in terms of form and thematics, and position of the texts in a social context. First I present the collection, and then look at the texts from stylistic angle. I have chosen to use the concept of descriptive style. I have picked out certain parts of my texts in order to see which effect they have on the reader (in this case I). I go on to describe the work process. Finally, I analyse why I have written the way I have, if I am satisfied with the result, and how the texts can be linked to a contemporary context. I am both satisfied and unsatisfied with the result. Certain things are good; others can still be improved. I have become more aware of thematics and my style while working on the essay. I need to delete certain over-explanations and comments from the narrator. I need to sharpen the approaches, streamline certain endings. In many parts, the short stories can still made more concise. The language can also become less paratactic. I should like to insert further short stories in the collection in order to create a counterpoint, preferably with female protagonists. I will also decide the order of the short stories to achieve the best-combined effect. Furthermore, I must reflect on about the title for each short story, and decide what name to give the collection. My texts relate to contemporary society and context largely by describing the disorientation of men in a time of new alignment, where old gender roles exist in parallel with entirely new ones. / Denna självreflekterande uppsats handlar om min blivande novellsamling. Syftet har varit att undersöka texterna avseende form och innehåll och texternas placering i en samhällelig kontext. Först presenterar jag samlingen översiktligt. Sedan tar jag upp texterna ur stilistisk vinkel. Jag har valt att använda ett deskriptivt stilbegrepp. Jag har plockat ut vissa delar av mina texter för att se vilken effekten är på läsaren (i detta fall jag själv). Sedan beskriver jag arbetsprocessen. Slutligen analyserar jag varför jag skrivit som jag gjort, vad som varit svårt och om jag är nöjd med resultatet och hur texterna kan kopplas till samtiden. Jag är både nöjd och missnöjd med resultatet. Vissa saker är bra, andra kan fortfarande bli mycket bättre. Jag har blivit mer medveten om min tematik och min stil under arbetet med uppsatsen. Jag kommit fram till att jag behöver ta bort vissa överförklaringar, berättarkommentarer. Jag behöver vässa anslagen, renodla vissa slut. På många ställen kan texterna ännu bli mer koncisa. I en närstående framtid/alternativ verklighet: Tvillingarna Agda och Narravi växer upp på ett skolhem där arbetsdagarna är långa och bestraffningarna hårda. Tillvaron är hopplös och slitsam tills Jodi dyker upp och förändrar allt. Hon bjuder på lekfulla dagar och ingjuter hopp i barnen som älskar henne från första stund. Men Jodi bär på en mörk hemlighet, en hemlighet som så småningom kommer att få ödesdigra konsekvenser. Många år senare har Agda blivit en skicklig tjuv och diamantförfalskare. Tillsammans med sin bästa vän Bro smider hon planer för att kunna hämnas det hemska som hände i hennes barndom. Men innanför Agdas hårda fasad lurar ett tvivel ...

Tänk dig en spårbesvärjelse där du kan hitta någon som är försvunnen, enda kostnaden är ett minne av den personen. Men hur många minnen Margot än offrar leder det inte till hennes mystiskt försvunna bror, hon förlorar istället sig själv och hamnar i en nedåtgående spiral av förfall tills hon inte vet vad som är verkligt och vad som är minnesfragment av en svunnen tid. Sanna har aldrig passat in. Hon hör inte hemma bland människorna, men så fort hon får åka till Duvallées och lära känna sin essens kommer allt att bli bra. Hon har intalat sig själv det så länge att när hon väl kommer dit ignorerar hon allt som talar för att det är något som är fel med henne och gör allt för att hitta sin plats i den världen. Margot utnyttjar det och Sannas förmåga att spåra, en vänskap byggs på falska grunder men kanske kan den ändå bestå. I Paris katakomber far halvsjälen Tressa mellan skuggorna och lever ett lågmält liv som städare av mörka besvärjelser, alla skyr henne men hon är lika rädd över vad hon kan råka göra. Så länge hon har skyddsamuletten borde hon vara säker mot den som kan kontrollera halvsjälarna. Minnen från när de blev övertagna och under tvång anföll Duvallées är ständigt närvarande. De kom knappt innanför grindarna, men ändå har hon en känsla av att allt gick som planerat. En av De sällsammas son försvann samma natt. När Tressas enda vän hoppar från en hög byggnad under tvång inser Tressa att hon inte längre kan gömma sig, utan behöver ta reda på vad som verkligen hände och vem som låg bakom det. Det är enda sättet för henne att bli fri. Sanna märker att hon har mer gemensamt med Tressa och hennes sprakande ögon än med vitaerna.
