Användbarhetstestning och designförbättringar på NPÖ Mobil – en applikation för vårdpersonal / Usability testing and design improvements on NPÖ Mobil - an application for health care workers

Hörberg, Karin January 2012 (has links)

The User Perspective on Recorder Functionality and Navigation Management : Result from a usability evaluation of a Personal Video Recorder

Claesson, Teresia January 2011 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to evaluate and give suggestions for interaction improvements to a user interface in a Personal Video Recorder. The study will focus on user learnability, user satisfaction, usability problems from the user interaction with the product and to make a set of interaction improvements. The participants performed a set of predefined tasks involving the recorder functionality and channel lists. The study involved three trials with seven tasks in each trial.   The study showed that the time difference for Learnability – Time-on-Task between all trials were statistical significant for the user interface. The study also revealed a set of usability problems that were classified into different severity ratings. The study also showed that the participants were partly satisfied with the user interface.

A Usability Evaluation of a Personal Video Recorder : Navigation and channel list management from a user perspective

Tanja, Rastad January 2011 (has links)
This thesis aimed to evaluate the user interaction with a Personal Video Recorder software in development by Zenterio. The evaluation focus was on learnability, satisfaction, identification of usability issues and proposing redesign to solve them. A user test with eleven participants was carried out, measuring task success, completion time, lostness, post-task satisfaction and post-session satisfaction across three trials. The seven user tasks concerned mainly channel lists and recording functionality; the former is examined closer in this paper. The results showed that the channel lists were somewhat difficult to manage initially but fairly quickly learned. The satisfaction was lower in the beginning and high after three trials. The results across all tasks followed similar learnability patterns and the overall satisfaction with the interface interaction pointed at the need of improvements. Nine usability issues were discovered concerning channel lists and navigation; they were rated by severity and redesign proposals were given. The issue with the strongest impact on the success of the interaction was the difficulty to find out how to open the submenus.

Bengtsson, Åke January 2011 (has links)

Major missiological motifs in North American classical pentecostal missions

Newberry, Warren Bruce 05 1900 (has links)
Text in English / This thesis is a study of several major motifs found in classical Pentecostal missiology in the North American scene. It is both a missiologically interpreted study based on the historical antecedents of Pentecostal mission theology and a Pentecostal interpretation of five major motifs germane to Evangelical and Pentecostal missiology in this present time. The intent and purpose of this study is to begin in chapter two with the Antecedents and Matrix of Pentecostalism per se and interpret them through missiological eyes. Topics such as the Holiness-Wesleyan roots of Pentecostalism which includes looking at such personages as John Wesley, Charles Finney, et al are studied. As well, the Reformed, non-Wesleyan roots of Pentecostalism are highlighted which includes Premillennialism, Dwight Moody, Reuben Torrey, A J Gordon, and A B Simpson, and Divine Healing. Finally, one arrives at the matrix of modern day Pentecostalism. The major emphasis is placed upon Charles Parham, William Seymour, the Azusa Street Mission, and on African American Pentecostals. The remaining chapters are an articulation, evaluation, and interpretation of five major Pentecostal mission theologies (practices) that emerged from the antecedents and appear to be in common with the majority of classical Pentecostal denominations. Chapter three deals with The Lostness of the Human Race. Topics included are lnterreligious dialogue, 'Life boat salvation', and the exclusiveness of Christ. Chapter four handles the concepts of Church Planting and Evangelism from perspectives of the Ecumencials, Evangelicals, and Pentecostals. In chapter five, the understanding of Indigenous Church Principles is studied from its origin to present- day application. Notable persons are Melvin Hodges and Morris Williams. Most relevant to present-day missiology is chapter six which deals with Social Responsibility and how Pentecostal missiology has responded to this need. Finally, Pneumatology as characterized by Pentecostal mission theology is studied. Emphasis is placed on Xenolalia, the Great Commission, Traditional Pentecostal Pneumatology, Pentecostal hermeneutics, and the Holy Spirit in missions. / Christian Spirituality, Church History & Missiology / D. Lost in Navigation : An Evaluation of Usability on the Learning Management System Canvas Regarding Information Finding Tasks / Vilse i navigationen : En utvärdering av användarvänlighet på utbildningsplattformen Canvas med fokus på informationssökning

Benzinger, Elsa, Svenberg, Malin January 2021 (has links)
Learning Management Systems have become increasingly used in all levels of education since more people have access to computers and the internet. An important feature of the LMS is to provide students with information about their courses. This information, however, is not always easy to find. Especially when the system does not follow usability guidelines about how to provide your users with information. In this study four different course pages on the KTH LMS Canvas have been evaluated with a moderated usability test to asses how well users find information on the LMS. The results show that some improvements could be made by adhering more to usability guidelines and that the courses that did were easier for testers to navigate. Some conclusions that can be made are that users find things easier when there is a high similarity between link names and the information they are looking for and that users scan web pages rather than read them. This is in line with previous research. The conclusions lead to four recommendations to KTH that can improve the usability of all Canvas course pages.
