A educação teológica nas veredas do labirinto literário: Mythodologia dos contos de Jorge Luis Borges / Theological education in the paths of the literary labyrinth: Mythodology of the short stories of Jorge Luis Borges

Essa tese nasceu da pesquisa que iniciamos em uma dissertação de mestrado. Naquele momento tínhamos questionamentos sobre como a teologia podia dialogar com a arte, mais especificamente com a literatura. Como resposta encontramos dois pontos de convergência entre teologia e literatura: teologia com teoria literária e fé com estética literária. Porém, também descobrimos que tanto na linguagem como no gênero literário, teologia e literatura se encontram em relações desequilibradas. Partimos então para uma tese de doutoramento em Ciência da Religião, na PUC de São Paulo, pondo o método teológico em nova perspectiva e sob a suspeita de que o mito podia ser um ponto de convergência ou de partida mais equilibrado para o diálogo entre teologia e literatura. Assim, encontramos a mythodologia de Gilbert Durand como uma mitohermenêutica razoável para dar conta do mito como ponto de partida tanto da teologia como da literatura. Porém, na atual tese, nosso questionamento foi: quais as implicações desse método teológico-literário baseado em uma mitohermenêutica para uma educação teológica devedora das tradições culturais de identidade latino-americana mestiça e híbrida encontradas na literatura? Realizamos então a aplicação da mythodologia nos contos de um dos melhores representantes da literatura latino-americana e modelo de escritor sob a égide do conto fantástico, especificamente do realismo maravilhoso: Jorge Luis Borges. Escolhemos os contos das obras Ficções e O Aleph. Nesses contos descobrimos que o mito condutor é hermesiano, de imaginação sintética, o que se adequa bem à identidade híbrida e mestiça da arte e da literatura latino-americanas. Também observamos que os mitemas dos contos estão intimamente relacionados com as metáforas-mitos que Borges elegeu como imagens arquetípicas que perpassam todos os seus contos. / This thesis was born from the research we started in a master\'s thesis. At that moment we had questions about how theology could dialogue with art, more specifically with literature. In response we find two points of convergence between theology and literature: theology with literary theory and faith with literary aesthetics. But we also find that both in language and literary genre, theology and literature find themselves in unbalanced relationships. We then set out for a doctoral thesis in the Science of Religion at PUC in São Paulo, putting the theological method in a new perspective and under the suspicion that the myth could be a more \"balanced\" starting point for the dialogue between Theology and literature. Thus we find Gilbert Durand\'s \"mythodology\" as a reasonable \"myth-hermeneutic\" to account for myth as a starting point for both theology and literature. However, in our current thesis, our question was: what are the implications of this theological-literary method based on a \"myth-hermeneutic\" for a theological education that owes the cultural traditions of Latin American mestizo and hybrid identity found in literature? We then apply the mythodology in the short stories of one of the best representatives of Latin American literature and model of writer under the aegis of the fantastic story, specifically the magical realism: Jorge Luis Borges. We chose the short stories from the works Fictions and O Aleph. In these tales we discover that the guiding myth is \"Hermesian\", of synthetic imagination, which is well suited to the hybrid and mestizo identity of Latin American art and literature. We also note that the \"mitema\" of short stories are closely related to the \"metaphors-myths\" that Borges chose as archetypal images that permeate all his tales.

Com algumas tópicas do sagrado, não foi diferente; o autor argentino apropriou-se delas para construir grande parte de suas narrativas. Seu objetivo, no entanto, não era um mero trabalho estético. Borges intencionava a compreensão de algo maior: a compreensão do mistério. As referências foram muitas, especialmente as judaico-cristãs. Havia uma predileção notável por místicas e pela literatura marginal, o que evidencia um aspecto bastante relevante da sua obra, a saber, uma predisposição e um respeito notável pela alteridade. With some topical from sacred, it was not different; the Argentine author appropriated them to build much of their narratives. His intention, however, was not just an aesthetic work. Borges purposed understanding of something bigger: the understanding of the mystery. There were a lot of references, especially the Judeo-Christian. There was a remarkable predilection for mystical and marginal literature, which reflects a very relevant aspect of his work, namely a predisposition and a remarkable respect for otherness. Then, we scoped in this study to scrutinize the movements established by Borges and how he realizes his primary purpose: the sacred aestheticize to ensure the strength of his fictional text, trying to understand the mystery and considering before everything otherness. [pt] O presente trabalho analisa as figurações e o sentido do conceito de eternidade na obra de Jorge Luis Borges. No primeiro capítulo, destaca os principais símbolos borgianos atrelados ao conceito (a palavra, o nada, o eu, os animais, etc.); no segundo, as principais refutações do tempo, encontradas nos ensaios do autor; no terceiro e último capítulo, examina de que maneira o conceito de eternidade se vincula ao próprio fazer literário do escritor e à sua concepção de literatura. Tal análise quer proporcionar um novo enfoque sobre o trabalho do autor argentino, frizando, por trás de sua obsessão por labirintos, por enigmas e pelo problema do tempo, sua busca pelo centro, ou pela solução do enigma do tempo, vislumbrada, através da arte literária, no conceito de eternidade. Além disso, deseja analisar a relação ambígua que o autor mantinha com o conceito de eternidade, que via, ora como uma quimera que o homem deve abandonar para fazer parte do mundo, ora como um objetivo impossível que, somente através da literatura, pode ter algum significado para os homens. / [en] The present document analyzes the figurations and the meaning of the concept of eternity in the work of Jorge Luis Borges. In the first chapter, it points out the main borgesian symbols linked to the concept (the word, the nothing, the I, the animals, etc.); in the second chapter, the main refutations of time, found in the author´s essays; in the third and last chapter, it examines in what way the concept of eternity is related to the writer´s process of literary creation and to his very concept of literature. Such analysis means to offer a new approach towards the argentine author´s work, emphasizing, behind his obsession with labyrinths, enigmas and with the problem of time, his search for the center, or for the solution of the enigma of time, seen, through literary art, in the concept of eternity. Apart from that, it wishes to analyze the ambiguous relation the author maintained with the concept of eternity, seeing it at times as a dream that man should abandon to be part of the real world and, at other times, as an impossible goal that, only through literature, could have any meaning to men.

[pt] A presente dissertação analisa o postulado da pureza metodológica como princípio da Teoria Pura do Direito de Hans Kelsen em sua perpetuação no senso comum teórico dos juristas, revelando as suas dimensões míticas. A releitura de Kelsen é realizada à luz das críticas à pureza metodológica desenvolvidas por Luis Alberto Warat principalmente em sua obra A Pureza do Poder. O estudo inclui referências conceituais de Roland Barthes, Gaston Bachelard e Antonio Negri, vinculadas a propostas de sistemas ilusórios criativos, como a modernidade imanente e o transurrealismo. O referido postulado é contextualizado no arcabouço paradigmático moderno como obstáculo epistemológico para a produção de um saber crítico que construa novos objetos de conhecimento no campo jurídico. / [en] This dissertation examines the premise of methodological purity as a principle of Hans Kelsen´s Pure Theory of Law, in this perpetuation of the theoretical juristic common sense, revealing its mythic dimensions. A rereading of Kelsen is realized in the light of criticism of methodological purity developed by Luis Alberto Warat, principally in his work The Purity of Power. The study includes conceptual references of Roland Barthes, Gaston Bachelard and Antonio Negri, related to the proposals of creative illusory systems, such as immanent modernity and the transurrealism. That premise is contextualized in the modern paradigms as epistemological obstacles for the production of a critical wisdom which builds new objects of knowledge in the juridic field.

O principal objetivo é revelar a situação da ortografia portuguesa no século XVI. Este estudo, portanto, representa uma importante contribuição para um melhor entendimento da história da ortografia portuguesa bem como para a história da própria língua. A obra-prima de Camões é um dos trabalhos mais importantes na história da literatura portuguesa e tem um valor histórico relevante porque foi vista como um modelo, não somente pelos seus propósitos literários, mas também pela sua ortografia. O clássico camoniano influenciou de maneira muito significativa os rumos da ortografia da Língua Portuguesa, uma vez que representou uma clara divisão entre a antiga ortografia e os novos sistemas introduzidos pelos estudiosos do século XVI. Para cumprir o objetivo da Tese é apresentada, em resumo, a situação da ortografia antes e imediatamente após a publicação da obra de Camões, com a finalidade de estabelecer qual era o sistema ou a tradiçao no uso da língua escrita. Para tanto, os dois primeiros gramáticos portugueses, Fernão de Oliveira e João de Barros, são referências importantes para mostrar a pronúncia e a descrição dos segmentos fonéticos que eles associavam às letras. Por outro lado, os ortógrafos, Pero Magalhães de Gândavo, Duarte Nunes de Leão e Álvaro Ferreira de Vera, apontavam o melhor modo para escrever a língua, de acordo com a interpretação deles, indicando como a ortografia deveria ser. Em seus trabalhos há também descrição da pronúncia e de como as letras deveriam ser usadas para representar os segmentos fonéticos. Os trabalhos desses estudiosos foram usados aqui com o propósito de extrair as informaçoes necessárias para entender como a língua era pronunciada e como deveria ser escrita no tempo de Camões. As gramáticas apareceram antes da publicação d'Os Lusíadas e os trabalhos dos ortógrafos depois. Neste estudo, os elementos gráficos das palavras foram analisados e interpretados de acordo com uma metodologia especial que foi utilizada pela autora quando escreveu uma dissertação de mestrado sobre a ortografia da famosa Carta de Pero Vaz de Caminha sobre o descobrimento do Brasil. Finalmente, a presente Tese pretende contribuir para o estudo do sistema escrito e para o melhor entendimento dos fenômenos lingüísticos relacionados à língua oral e escrita. / Abstract: This thesis presents an orthographic study of Luiz Vaz de Camões' Os Lusíadas in its first edition (1572). The main objective is to reveal the situation of the Portuguese spelling at that time in the XVI century. This study, therefore, represents an important contribution to a better understanding of the history of the Portuguese orthography as well as to the history of the language. Camões' masterpiece is one of the most important works in the history of Portuguese literature. Given its importance since its first edition, Os Lusíadas has been seen as a model not only for literary purpose, but also for spelling, since it represented a clear cut between the old spelling and the new systems introduced by the first grammarians and orthographists in the XVI century. To accomplish the goals of the thesis, it is presented in short the situation of the spelling just before and immediately after the publication of Camões' book, in order to set up what was the system or the tradition in use to write down the language. To do so, the two first grammars of the language, one by Fernão de Oliveira and the other by João de Barros are important references to show the pronunciation and the description of the phonetic segments they associated to the letters. On the other hand, the orthographists pointed out the best way to write the language in their interpretation, indicating how the spelling should be. In their works we have also phonetic descriptions of the pronunciation and the description on how the letters were used to represents phonetic segments. The works by Pero de Magalhães de Gândavo, Duarte Nunes de Leão e Álvaro Ferreira de Vera were used for the purpose of extracting the necessary information to understand how the language were pronounced and should be written at Camões' time. The grammars appeared before the publication of Os Lusíadas and the orthographists' works appeared after it. The graphic elements of the words were analysed and interpreted according to a special methodology that was used by the author of this work when she wrote a MA Dissertation about the spelling of the famous letter by Pero Vaz de Caminha, about the discovery of Brazil. Finally, the present thesis intents to contribute to the study of the history of Portuguese language, to language teaching, to the study of writing systems and to a better understanding of linguistic phenomena relating oral and written language. / Doutorado / Linguistica / Doutor em Linguística

Esta investigación tiene como propósito principal desarrollar un proyecto de diseño interior para la renovación del pabellón de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos (UCI) del Hospital de la Policía Nacional del Perú Luis Nicasio Sáenz (Jesús María), de manera que se mejore su funcionalidad y confort. Como objetivos específicos, se plantearon proponer replanteamientos de distribución según las zonas negra, gris y blanca; proponer un diseño de iluminación que permita a los usuarios cumplir con las funciones habituales del área; y plantear un diseño que otorgue identidad, de manera que este pueda ser replicado en cada área del hospital. En esa línea, se desarrolla la problemática actual del entorno hospitalario, se conceptualiza qué es una UCI, sus características y tipos; asimismo, se expone cómo la arquitectura se articula con la humanización. En cuanto a la estrategia de diseño, esta incluye el diagnóstico, la intervención y aspectos específicos, como en el uso de colores, materiales e iluminación. Esta información se presenta mediante diversas figuras, que detallan el programa arquitectónico, el organigrama y la zonificación de espacios. Los desperfectos encontrados en el nosocomio sirven de partida para realizar la nueva propuesta de diseño. Las ideas se plantean de acuerdo con guías normativas para la implementación de una unidad tan crítica, de manera que el resultado sea un espacio que resulte funcional para el equipo del personal médico, así como confortable para los pacientes. / The main purpose of this research is to develop a project of interior design for the renovation in the pavilion of intensive care unit (ICU) of the National Police Hospital of Perú Luis Nicasio Sáenz (Jesús María), to improve its functionality and comfort. As specifics objectives, it is proposed a new distribution according to black, gray and white areas; also it is proposed a lighting design that allows users to acomplish with the usual functions of the area; and it is propose a design that give an identity, so that could be replied in different areas of the hospital. Therefore, the current problems of the hospitals are developed, the concept of a intensive care unit (ICU) is conceptualized, also its characteristics and types; additionally, it is exposed how the architecture articulates with humanization. For the design strategy, diagnostics, interventions and specific aspects, such as the use of colors, materials and lighting, are included. This information is presented in figures, which detail the architectural program, the organization chart and the zoning of the spaces. The problems found in the hospital serves as a starting point to carry out the new design proposal. The ideas are presented in accordance with normative guidelines for the implementation of a critical unit, so that result while be a space that is functional for the team of medical personnel, as well as comfortable for patients. / Tesis

In dem Selbstporträt von 1746 (Paris, Musée du Louvre) präsentiert sich der spanische Künstler Luis Meléndez (1715-1780) mit einem ausgewählten Werk in der Hand. Ernst und voller Stolz schaut der Künstler dem Gegenüber in die Augen, mit denen jener die Resultate seines Könnens (das Porträt wie die präsentierte Aktstudie) mustert. Den rechten Arm hat Meléndez in die Hüfte gestemmt, einen Kreidehalter mit schwarzer und weißer Kreide in der Hand, die mit zwei Fingern auf die gezeichnete Aktstudie verweist. Unter seiner rechten Hand bauscht sich ein dunkelblaues Tuch. Die Kleidung – eine dunkelgrüne Samtjacke, eine weiße Weste, darunter ein feines weißes Hemd mit jabot, einem Volant, der zwischen den Vorderkanten der Weste hervorschauen soll, – kennzeichnet den Künstler als Intellektuellen. Seine Haare hat Meléndez mit einem traditionel-len Tuch zusammengebunden. Den in Kleidung und Habitus formulierten Anspruch bestätigt die Aktstudie in der erhobenen Linken. Das Blatt zeigt ein stehendes männliches Modell in verlorenem Profil. Es hat seinen linken Unterschenkel auf ein niedriges Podest aufgelegt, den rechten Arm vor dem Körper angewinkelt und den linken seitlich abgesenkt; der Körper verdeckt, ob das Modell einen Gegenstand hält.

Combitech is aiming to develop their own intraweb and they are investigating if it ispossible to implement a bot that handles menial task to make daily tasks easier on their employees. This thesis investigates whether a chatbot which handles the booking of me-etings will be useful to the company. After implementing the chatbot and testing it with 5 employees the conclusion was made that a chatbot for meetings was not very useful.However, the testers were very positive about having a chatbot on the intraweb if it isimplemented for tasks which are timely or complicated to solve. / Combitech håller på att utveckla ett eget intranät och undersöker om det är möjligtatt implementera en bot som hanterar enkla uppgifter för att förenkla vardagen för sinamedarbetare. Denna rapport undersöker om en chatbot som hanterar bokningen av mötenkan vara användbar för företaget. Efter implementering av chatboten och testning medhjälp av 5 medarbetare blev slutsatsen att en chatbot för mötesbokning inte är särskiltanvändbar för företaget. Däremot var alla testare väldigt positiva till att ha en chatboti intranätet om den implementeras för att hantera mer tidskrävande eller kompliceradeuppgifter.

The experience of the pronunciamiento in San Luis Potosí, 1821-1849

The Hispanic phenomenon of the pronunciamiento, particularly prominent in nineteenth-century Mexico, is just one example of an insurrectionary political act that has contributed to the traditional portrait of chaos and disorder that has tainted much of our interpretation of the country‟s socio-political history. Once considered to be a violent, non-ideological, praetorian military act, recent studies reveal that the pronunciamiento was primarily a written petition that sought to further political proposals or address particular grievances through negotiation (albeit often backed by the threat of force). Although the military were largely the most visible leaders of the pronunciamiento, a plethora of political and civilian actors and interest groups partook in the practice with the intention of having their grievances/demands attended to by the national government. As well as being viewed as one of the causes of chronic instability, the pronunciamiento was also the primary mechanism employed to bring about tangible political changes throughout the country. At the local level of San Luis Potosí, the pronunciamiento seed also germinated and was used by all political groups and factions in their negotiations with local and national authorities alike. Local interests were often at the heart of these negotiations and so dictated the nature of the pronunciamiento in San Luis Potosí. This dissertation will explore and analyse the pronunciamiento practice, its origins, dynamics and nature, from the regional perspective of San Luis Potosí. Bearing in mind that the pronunciamiento was borne out of, and operated in a specific socio-political-economic context of constitutional disarray and transition, its analysis will also further our understanding of the broader socio-political culture not only of San Luis Potosí, but of Mexico in general. This in turn will contribute to the acknowledged need for reinterpretation and revaluation of the tumultuous period of early nineteenth-century Mexico. It will expose the period as an age of democratic revolutions; of intense political debate between emergent political groups and factions, who increasingly used the pronunciamiento to further an ideological stance, represent a spectrum of interests and force some kind of political change both at a national and regional level when all other constitutional options had been exhausted.
