Représentations des cancers de l'enfant chez les familles mexicaines / Representations of children's cancers in Mexican families

Torres, Gisela 09 March 2018 (has links)
This work discusses under a psychoanalytic and anthropological approach the representations of children's cancers in Mexican parents. Our general hypothesis is that parents of children with cancer, facing a burden of suffering, construct representations about the origin of illness that are supported on sexual theories and magico-sexual myths. Our study is based on the analysis of three clinical cases: two cases of parents who have a child with cancer and the case of a mother whose daughter died from cancer. We contacted these patients by addressing us to an association and to pediatricians of a Mexican hospital. Most of the psychoanalytic interviews took place in the patient's home. Illness representations constructed by parents of children with cancer were compared with representations of childhood death and illness that are projected in Pre-Columbian mythology and in Mexican art (votive painting, post-mortem photography and painting). This procedure let us put in evidence the points of convergence between individual psychology and collective psychology.

Magija kaip universali patirtis: Lietuvos studentų tyrimai XXI a. pr / Magic as a Universal Experience: Research into Lithuanian Students in the beginning of the 21st C

Savickaitė, Eglė 03 September 2013 (has links)
The concept of magic in a scientific discourse inevitably reveals not only the concepts of a scientist or a society that is being researched but also highlights disjunctions between them. This causes a need to widen the boundaries of the concept focusing both on the practical side of magic and the common aspects of a magic worldview. The object of the research is to reveal a variety of understanding magic based on concepts of magic and religion, magico-religious practices, and Otherworld experiences and conceptions of Lithuanian students. The analysis of students‘ concepts of magic and religion and magico-religious practices revealed the most common concepts and features of magico-religious practices in the group researched. The dissertation explores not only students‘ concepts of magic and religion and magico-religious practices but also Otherworld experiences and conceptions, which reflect magic as a part of the common human worldview. In such context dualism in perception of magic comes to light; two different ways of perceiving magic are reflected. On the one hand magic reveals itself as the whole of actions oriented towards an aim. On the other hand students‘ Otherworld experiences and conceptions that reflect themselves in student’s magico-religious practices reveal magic as a contributory element in a person’s worldview formation.

Le surnaturel dans le roman féminin guadeloupéen contemporain / Supernatural in Féminine contemporary novels from Guadeloupe

Py, Fatima 29 May 2017 (has links)
This thesis studies the occurrences of supernatural in Guadeloupe’s feminine novel. The writers are all women from Guadeloupe: they were born there (Lacrosil, Conde) or their parents come from Guadeloupe and they grew up there (Schwarz-Bart, Pineau). Every novel evokes a literary period of the 20th century: demain jab-herma (1960-1970), Pluie et vent sur Telumée miracle (1970-1980), moi, tituba, sorciere… (1980-1990) and la Grande drive des esprits (1990-2000).Every novel is based on supernatural: demain, jab-herma's hero is a sorcerer, such as Schwarz-Bart and Conde’s heroes. La Grande drive des esprits describes a family through the 20th century in Guadeloupe and a few characters have supernatural powers. We first made an inventory of contemporary feminine novels: it rises at the 20th century, thanks to our writers and through this supernatural theme. Then, we studied supernatural, religious magical, sacred's role in Guadeloupe: where it comes from, its place in Caribbean, its popular role. Finally, we studied fantastic imaginary's place: how it allows unpowerful slaves and slaves' children to think themselves powerful, the novel shows the social role of magical religious. We wanted to show how supernatural partly defines Guadeloupe’s novel. In conclusion, this study reveals how supernatural makes part of the weltanshauung, the way the people from Guadeloupe can see the world; the characters' whole life is made of supernatural, from birth to death; supernatural shows women's fundamental role, and appears as well in speaking, customs and public life.

[es] LA IMPORTÂNCIA DE LA LITERATURA COMO ELEMENTO DE CONSTRUCCIÓN DEL IMAGINARIO DEL NIÑO CON DISCAPACIDAD VISUAL / [pt] A IMPORTÂNCIA DA LITERATURA COMO ELEMENTO DE CONSTRUÇÃO DO IMAGINÁRIO DA CRIANÇA COM DEFICIÊNCIA VISUAL

MARIA DA GLORIA DE SOUZA ALMEIDA 28 March 2019 (has links)
Aprende, cria, recria.

Birbrier, William Damian 05 1900 (has links)
The following master’s thesis considers the impact of the interactions affecting a musician during a jazz performance including improvisation. The analysis considers the phonographic source material and transcriptions of two tracks performed by the trio composed of the Norwegian saxophonist Jan Garbarek, the Brazilian pianist and guitarist Egberto Gismonti, and the American bass player Charlie Haden. The analysis focuses on two tracks that were both recorded in studio and live during a concert of the trio, and is based on the theoretical notions of improvisation as well as affordance theory, which was originally developed in the field of environmental psychology and then adapted to musicology. The results of this research indicate that the process of improvisation is affected by the invariants relating to the location of the performance. This analysis is a first step towards a contextualized understanding of the environmental elements that can influence improvisation in jazz.

Franchi-Querci, Marie-Ange 07 December 2011 (has links)
This study deals with naturalist knowledge and practical experience about aromatic and medicinal flora from Corsica and their entering the heritage. Traditional pharmacopeia and the beliefs which are connected to it, are studied with the intention of conservation and promotion. Then they are compared with the present use of flora/the plants (production of essential oils and by-products) in order to examine the heritage recognition of that knowledge. That work is aimed at contributing to the conservation and promotion of a legacy combining both the organic and cultural aspects as well as a better understanding of the interest of the Corsican society in the knowledge of plants in the course of time. More generally it also follows a prospect to study how Corsica is outstanding to understand the conservation of cultural and organic diversity.

[en] BETWEEN MEEPLES AND DICES: BOARD GAMES AS GOODS, CONSUMPTION OF EXPERIENCE AND MEDIA / [pt] ENTRE PEÇAS E DADOS: OS JOGOS DE TABULEIRO COMO BENS, CONSUMO DE EXPERIÊNCIA E MÍDIA

ANNIE LAURIE LATTARI FERREIRA BRAGA 31 March 2022 (has links)
[en] Table games, also called board games, are commonly associated with games such as Monopoly, Risk, Game of Life, among others. However, in recent years, the world industry has diversified and today you can see a great innovation in titles, in addition to the growing public interest in new analogue games. In an increasingly individualistic and technological society, board games provide face-to-face communicational interactions between us, a reverse movement to virtual relationships. Thus, this research intends to approach board games in a communicational and cultural context, aiming to understand the significant moment (and full of meaning) that the return of interest in this type of game may reflect. For this, we analyze the board game under three dimensions: object (from the perspective of consumption theories); activity (the idea of the magic circle, the player s immersion and his probable consumption of experience) and media (the possibility of reading board games as media texts and their cultural resonance). As a methodology, we adopted semi-structured qualitative interviews and quantitative interviews (application of survey in a practicing public), in addition to the bibliographical review that covered the works of Paul Booth, Jesper Juul, Stewart Woods, Emmanoel Ferreira (in the area of Games Studies); Mary Douglas, Jean Baudrillard (in the area of consumption); Cláudia Pereira, Tatiana Siciliano and Everardo Rocha (in the idea of consumption of experience); and Jesús MartínBarbero, Ana Carolina Escosteguy, Douglas Kellner (from the perspective of the media and Cultural Studies), among other authors.
