Utformning av ett performance management-system : För mätning av prestationer inom Rottne industris reservdelslager / Design of a performance management system : For performance measurement within Rottne Industri spare parts inventory

Lidby, Max, Ringström, Philip January 2014 (has links)
Sökord: Performance management, performance management process, performance management system, performance measurement, spare part logistics, aftermarket logistics, target setting. / Title: Performance management - A case study on spare part logistics at Rottne industri Authors: Max Lidby, Philip Ringström Tutor: Peter Berling Background: Rottne industri is a company that manufactures forestry equipment. An important part of the company’s strategy is based on conducting a generous spare parts business to customers. The spare part business has grown and become a competitive advantage for Rottne industri. To keep its position in the market it is important that the competitive advantage is retained. In agreement with the warehouse management we have chosen to develop a performance management system. The study has been based on the performance management process that consists of five steps which has been linked with separate research questions. Purpose: The aim of this study is to develop a performance management system for Rottne industri’s warehouse in order to give the company a starting point for monitoring and control of performance. Method: The paper is based on a qualitative approach. Thesis approach is positivism and an abductive approach is applied. Collection of empirical data is mainly done through interviews. Conclusion: In order to maintain its competitive advantage Rottne industry should primarily focus on four groups of metrics; delivery time, delivery reliability, order quality and service level. The priority for these groups of metrics are slightly different depending on which group of customers Rottne industri intend to serve. For urgent orders the delivery time, order quality and level of service most important, and for replenishing orders delivery reliability, order quality and level of service is the most important. High targets should be set for important groups of metrics, and should be under continuous review when circumstances change. Keywords: Performance management, performance management process, performance management systems, performance measurement, spare part logistics, aftermarket logistics, target setting.

The development of a dolomite risk management strategy for the Tlokwe City Council / Abraham Stephanus Potgieter

Potgieter, Abraham Stephanus January 2012 (has links)
Development on dolomite poses a risk due to the possible formation of instability features such as sinkholes. Most of these features are however man-induced, and the risk associated with development on dolomitic areas can be mitigated through correct management. Therefore, since the Tlokwe City Council is accountable for safe development within its jurisdiction, a Dolomite Risk Management Strategy (DRMS) should be put in place. There are several factors that contribute to the risk for development on dolomite. These factors can be catagorised into two groups that should be considered during the hazard identification process, namely physical factors that consists of geology, geohydrology and geotechnical, and anthropogenic factors that consists of existing infrastructure and development, land use planning, as well as social structure and awareness. These factors are assessed by means of a risk assessment in order to obtain a disaster risk score for different areas within the study area. Based on this score, priority focus areas can be identified, mainly for critically important further research before any development can be allowed or mitigation measures implemented. Once these research activities are completed, a DRMS can be compiled based on the guidelines set by SANS 1936, which will promote the safety of people and property when further development on dolomite takes place. Urgent and interim mitigation measures are proposed to manage the risk during further research activities. / Thesis (MSc (Environmental Sciences))--North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2013

Role ošetřovatelského managementu v problematice řízení lidských zdrojů / The role of the nursing management in the human resourcing problems

PLOCKOVÁ, Helena January 2007 (has links)
The aim of this task is to find out the present role of the middle nursing management in the human resource management and also to suggest a new plan of graduate training in the terms of adaptation process. In the end it is necessary to analyse its asset from the nurse managers{\crq} point of view. Questionnaire technique of information gleaning was used for the survey. First survey body was formed by nurse managers. There were 25 questions in the questionnaire. A part of the questionnaire was a plan of graduate training. These graduates had to be educated as state registered nurses or with university degree, either Bachelor or Master. There were 18 closed questions and 7 half-open ones. Second survey body was formed by graduates of nursing colleges and universities. There were 8 questions in the questionnaire and there were 8 answers in each question. All the answers were used for assessment of level education dependence on motivational needs. There were four hypothesis in the survey which should confirm or disconfirm the interest of nurse managers in further education, its providing by hospital managements, the dependence of motivation needs on education level (only graduates) and evaluation of adaptation process provided by nurse managers. The first hypothesis confirmed that the nurse managers are interested in further education connected with human resource management. The second hypothesis confirmed that hospital management offers the possibility of human resource education to nurse managers. The third hypothesis confirmed that motivational needs, which influence graduates´ job choice, change with the level of education. The fourth hypothesis confirmed that setting up ``The Adaptation Process for Graduate Training{\crqq} positively evaluates nurse managers. Considering positive survey results it would be suitable not only to set up the adaptation process with graduates but also to use the questionnaire of testing needs which can help the middle management to nominate graduates with certain posts. There is a great significance in it and it is very important for career and integrating in work teams. The results of the survey could be lent to hospital management as an instrument of human resource optimization.

No. of bitstreams: 1 68070200637.pdf: 3015909 bytes, checksum: 818e50c3b1c5fa166cfe49f931246fab (MD5) Previous issue date: 2010-05-18 / This study will collaborate by bringing some detailed analysis and findings on a special case study of a discontinuous product development process, trying to answer how the discontinuous product development process takes place and the main factors that influence this process. Additionally, it tried to explore some explanations for the difficulties generally faced by the companies to sustain innovation. The case is about the Motorola cell phone RAZR V3, launched in 2004. RAZR V3 was noted by industry experts as game-changing feat of design and engineering, selling more than 110 million units by end of 2008 and recognized as one of the fastest selling products in the industry. The study uses a single case methodology, which is appropriate given the access to a phenomenon that happened inside corporate dominium and it is not easily accessed for academic studies, besides being a rare case of success in the cellular phone industry. In order to magnify the understanding of the phenomenon, the exploration was extended to contrast the RAZR development process and the standard product development process in Motorola. Additionally, it was integrated a longitudinal reflection of the company product development evolution until the next breakthrough product hitting the cellular phone industry. The result of the analysis shows that discontinuous products do not fit well traditional product development process (in this case, stage-gate). This result reinforces the results obtained on previous studies of discontinuous product development conducted by other authors. Therefore, it is clear that the dynamics of discontinuous product development are different from the continuous product development, requiring different treatment to succeed. Moreover, this study highlighted the importance of the management influence in all the phases of the process as one of the most important factors, suggesting a key component to be carefully observed in future researches. Some other findings of the study that were considered very important for a discontinuous product development process: have champions (who believe and protect the project) and not only one champion; create a right atmosphere to make flow the creative process; question paradigms to create discontinuous products; simple guiding light to focus the team; company culture that accepts and knows how to deal with risks; and undoubtedly, have a company strategy that understands the different dynamics of continuous and discontinuous product development processes and treat them accordingly.

Dolování procesů jako služba / Process Mining as a Service

Dobias, Ondrej January 2017 (has links)
Softwérové a hardvérové aplikácie zaznamenávajú veľké množstvo informácií do protokolov udalostí.
