Alguns professores e bibliotecários escolares preocupam-se apenas com a orientação na aquisição de habilidades para o uso dos recursos tecnológicos na localização de informação. Esquecem que a ambiência da biblioteca, maior que seu espaço físico, deve alcançar os lares dos alunos, salas de aula e outros aportes de apoio pedagógico. Sendo assim, procurou-se responder questões como: O bibliotecário sabe que é um mediador? Como tem sido esta mediação? O bibliotecário acompanha as mudanças tecnológicas, inserindo-as em seu fazer cotidiano? A virtualização da informação facilita o uso das fontes/recursos de pesquisa e a capacidade de selecionar informação e ampliar conhecimento? O estudo teve como objetivos: avaliar a percepção do bibliotecário quanto a sua responsabilidade cotidiana em mediar a pesquisa escolar, independentemente da ambiência em que se encontra; analisar a postura e as habilidades técnicas/cognitivas do bibliotecário na mediação da pesquisa em um momento de crescente virtualização da informação; verificar o processo de utilização de recursos tecnológicos na busca de informação; identificar a existência de parceria entre bibliotecário e professor na prática da pesquisa escolar; obter subsídios para propostas de projetos/ações que visem busca de soluções para que a pesquisa escolar atinja seus objetivos.Buscou-se embasamento teórico por meio da literatura pertinente e para coleta de dados aplicou-se uma entrevista focalizada com o profissional bibliotecário em seis escolas de ensino fundamental da cidade de Londrina. / Abstract: In parallel with the advancement of technology and use of the term "the knowledge society", realizes it is people who do not know sign to the satisfaction surveys and readings. Some teachers and school librarians concern itself only with the guidance in the acquisition of skills for the use of technological resources in tracking information. Forget that the environment of the library, more than its physical space, must reach the homes of students, classrooms and other contributions of teaching materials. Therefore, it is answering questions such as: The librarian knows who is a mediator? As has been the mediation? The librarian accompanies technological change, inserting them into their daily lives do? The virtualization of the information facilitates the use of sources / resources research and the ability to select information and expand knowledge? Esta tese objetiva identificar as características do processo de mediação docente online nos fóruns de discussão desenvolvidos em disciplinas, promovidas na modalidade a distância, de um curso de especialização em engenharia. Uma pesquisa de natureza qualitativa, por meio de um estudo caso, possibilitou comprovar a proposição de que a educação a distância (EaD) dispõe de variadas formas de mediação online para sustentar o processo de aprendizagem dos alunos. Nesse sentido, identificaram-se as ações de mediação docente online nos fóruns de discussão do referido curso, com base no levantamento das funções do professor que nele atua. Para tanto, construiu-se um modelo que representa os processos de ensino e aprendizagem online para, então, identificar as semelhanças e diferenças entre as mediações desenvolvidas no âmbito de cada disciplina. A partir daí, percebeu-se que, nos fóruns de discussão, a mediação docente online apresenta características semelhantes relacionadas, principalmente, aos aspectos do seu contexto. Já as diferenças notadas nesse processo referem-se a cada professor, de forma particularizada, ou seja, a suas características pessoais (competências adquiridas e/ou desenvolvidas, história de vida profissional, etc.). / This thesis aims to identify the characteristics of the online teaching mediation process in the developed discussion forums, through distance learning, in an engineering postgraduate course. A qualitative research through a case study made it possible to prove the proposition that distance education has various forms of online mediation process to support student learning. This way, the actions of teacher mediation in online discussion forums in that course have been identified, based on a survey of functions performed by a teacher working in it. To this end, we constructed a model that represents the processes of online teaching and learning in order to identify the similarities and differences between mediation developed within each discipline. From that, it was noted that in discussion forums, that online teacher mediation presents similar characteristics mainly related to aspects of context. As for the differences noted in this process, they refer more to each teacher, individually, and to their personal characteristics (skills acquired and / or developed, the history of life, etc.).

The Association of Physical Activity and DepressiveSymptoms, and the Role of Emotion Regulation

Given increases in depressive symptoms among Swedish adolescents, we investigated theassociation between physical activity and depressive symptoms, and the role of emotionalregulation plays in these associations. In a longitudinal study, the sample was gathered fromthree mid-sized cities in Sweden. The participants were adolescents aged 13 to 19 years with atotal sample size of 2973 participants. Our research questions were: Is physical activityrelated to depressive symptoms? What is the direction of this association? Does emotiondysregulation mediate the association between physical activity and depressive symptoms?We analyzed the data using hierarchical regressions, testing indirect effects. The resultsshowed that there was an association between emotion dysregulation and depressivesymptoms. However, there was no association between physical activity and depressivesymptoms nor a mediating effect in either direction. / Då depressiva symptom ökar bland ungdomar i Sverige väljer vi i denna studie att undersökaassociationen mellan fysisk aktivitet och depressiva symptom, samt rollenemotionsregleringen spelar. Urvalet till denna studien var ifrån en tidigare longitudinell studiemed ungdomar från tre städer i Mellansverige. Deltagarna i denna studie är ungdomar iåldrarna 13 till 19. Det totala urvalet till studien var 2973. Vår forskningsfråga var: Är fysiskaktivitet relaterad till depressiva symptom? I vilken riktning var de relaterade till varandra?Kan känsloreglering mediera ett samband mellan fysisk aktivitet och depressiva symptom?För att besvara vår forskningsfråga gjorde vi en hierarkisk regressionsanalys för att testaindirekta effekter. Resultatet visade att det fanns en association mellan depressiva symptomoch dysfunktionell emotionsreglering. Däremot fanns det ingen association mellan fysiskaktivitet och depressiva symptom eller en medierande effekt oavsett riktning.

A questão central deste trabalho refere-se à institucionalização da mediação no âmbito do Judiciário e às condições necessárias para uma boa relação entre a mediação e o processo judicial. Esta questão foi analisada sob as perspectivas processual e institucional. A primeira recai sobre as bases do processo de mediação, em especial o devido processo legal mínimo, e a sua interação com o processo judicial, diferenciando a justiça do processo e a justiça do resultado. A segunda recai sobre o desenho dos programas de mediação que funcionam junto ao Judiciário e os papéis assumidos pelos diferentes atores que participam destes programas: juízes, mediadores, partes, advogados e funcionários dos Tribunais. Sob esta última perspectiva, foi realizada pesquisa empírica e comparada em programas de mediação que funcionam junto ao Judiciário no Brasil e nos EUA. / The main issue of this work is the institutionalization of mediation within the Courthouse and the pre-conditions for having a good relationship between mediation and the Judiciary. This issue is analyzed from both procedural and institutional points of view. The procedural perspective falls on the mediation due process (minimal but meaningful due process standards) and on the differences between the procedural and substantial justices. The institutional perspective falls on the design of the Court-Connected Mediation Programs and on the roles of the players who participated in these programs: judges, mediators, plaintiff and defendant, attorneys, and Court workers. An empirical research was also done about the Court-Connected Mediation Programs in Brazil and in the United States.

Orientador: Alexandre Walmott Borges / Resumo: A presente pesquisa possui como escopo principal responder o questionamento acerca da possibilidade de utilizar a mediação para solucionar as controvérsias existentes na administração pública federal, mais especificamente aquelas que ocorrem no âmbito das Universidades Federais brasileiras. A mediação é um mecanismo autocompositivo de solução de conflitos em que um terceiro, estranho ao conflito, aplica técnicas específicas e auxilia as partes para que retomem o diálogo. As partes estão na figura central do mecanismo, possuindo o poder decisório em razão do princípio da autonomia da vontade das partes. Este mecanismo se difere do que tradicionalmente é aplicado aos conflitos nas Universidades Federais, haja vista que o processo administrativo disciplinar, em regra, é a ferramenta utilizada nos casos conflitantes internos. Assim, o trabalho aborda, primeiramente, o processo administrativo disciplinar e, em seguida, analisa a mediação como forma de tratamento dos conflitos internos das Instituições federais. Mediation is a self-composing mechanism for conflict resolution in which a third part, stranger to the conflict, applies specific techniques and assists the parties to resume dialogue. The parties are at the center of the mechanism, having the decision-making power by virtue of the principle of autonomy of the will of the parties. This mechanism differs from that traditionally applied to conflicts in Federal Universities, since the disciplinary administrative process, as a rule, is the tool used in internal conflicting cases. Thus, the paper addresses, first, the disciplinary administrative process and then analyzes the mediation as a way of dealing with internal conflicts of federal institutions. To this end, the methodology used is the inductive one, since the research analyzes data from COPSIA, which is the Permanent Commission of Syndication and Administrative Inquiry of the Federal University of Uberlândia, which provides for the disciplinary administrative proceedings of 2017 and, finally, it concludes that it is possible to apply mediation in Federal Universities, with the proposal of creating a pilot plan for the implementation of a Mediation Chamber in the researched institution. La transmission du patrimoine culturel immatériel. Réflexion sur l'importance d'une médiation culturelle / The Transmission of Intangible Heritage. Reflection on Cultural Mediation

En ratifiant la Convention pour la sauvegarde du patrimoine culturel immatériel proposée par lUNESCO , chaque Etat signataire sest engagé à prendre des mesures destinées à assurer la viabilité des traditions orales (légendes, musique, chansons, etc.), des rituels festifs, des croyances, des savoir-faire et tout ce qui constitue un patrimoine, transmissible en soi ou comme valeur ajoutée aux patrimoines naturel, mobilier et immobilier, présents sur son territoire. Définies dans le texte de la convention, comme « lidentification, la documentation, la recherche, la préservation, la protection, la promotion, la mise en valeur, la transmission et la revitalisation des différents aspects de ce patrimoine », ces mesures nécessitent au préalable létablissement dun ou de plusieurs inventaires nationaux, régulièrement mis à jour. Le présent travail était destiné, à lorigine, à mettre au point une base de données du patrimoine immatériel en Belgique romane, mais, comme aucune étude théorique globale ne sétait encore penchée sur le bien-fondé de linventorisation, pas plus dailleurs que sur celui de la « sauvegarde », il a évolué au cours de sa rédaction en une réflexion sur les enjeux, les conditions et les pratiques de la transmission et ce, dans une approche interdisciplinaire mêlant lanthropologie, lhistoire, la sociologie, léthique, les sciences politiques, et faisant même ponctuellement appel à la linguistique, à la musicologie, voire à la neurologie ou au droit international. Ma recherche est à la fois théorique et pragmatique ; elle intervient après une trentaine dannées passées sur le terrain à observer, enregistrer, filmer, photographier, les traditions orales et gestuelles de petites communautés inscrites dans le cadre géographique restreint de la Wallonie, tout en ne négligeant pas lapport dexpériences extérieures à cet espace. Mon hypothèse de base est quil existe un patrimoine culturel immatériel propre à chaque communauté socioculturelle (de taille et de composition variable), qui permet, face à une menace de mondialisation culturelle, de fonder une « ethnicité positive », apte à sociabiliser davantage quà isoler. La mise en valeur de ce patrimoine ne constitue pas un repli sur soi et sur le passé mais une ouverture vers une diversité culturelle, exempte de toute hiérarchisation. La thèse ne prétend pas, en quelques centaines de pages, résoudre tous les problèmes théoriques que posent la transmission et la sauvegarde du patrimoine immatériel, mais propose une première réflexion sur les contenus, les finalités, les modes de transmission et les médiateurs utiles ou nécessaires, puisque telle est bien linterrogation que nous pose aujourdhui le maintien de cette « diversité culturelle ». The Mediation Process : a Better Access to Justice in EU?

Abstract Unlike litigation and arbitration, mediation is a more informal way to settle disputes. The process has been considered to be quick, cheap and interest-based and it is said to promote amicable settlements. Yet mediation is not commonly used as a dispute resolution method in Sweden today. However, mediation as a dispute resolution method is promoted by the EU institutions and the European Parliament and the Council has adopted a directive which will secure that the EU citizens, in some cases, will have the possibility to choose extrajudicial mediation as a dispute resolution method. Until now, it has not been possible for parties to immediately seek enforcement of the content of a Swedish extrajudicial mediation settlement agreement. However, the directive will also ensure that the EU Member States provide the EU citizens with such enforcement possibilities. According to the wording of the directive, the request of enforcement will require all parties' explicit consent. This means, that if such consent is not given, the content of the agreement cannot be made enforceable. The uncertainty whether such consent will begiven in the end of the process or not may contribute to people waiving to initiate a mediation process because the actual outcome of the process could be difficult to predict. For the mediation process to be considered as an equivalent way to settle disputes to the e.g. litigation proceeding, it is necessary that the parties also experience the results of the processes as equivalent. The requirement of consent is not totally abandoned in the proposed Swedish Mediation Act by which the directive shall be implemented. Instead of choosing the wording of the directive, there are other perspectives on the matter of enforcement which the Swedish legislature perhaps could be inspired by when implementing the directive.

God, saint, and priest : a comparison of mediatory modes in Roman Catholicism and Śrīvaiṣṇavism with special reference to the council of Trent and the Yatīndramatadīpikā

Roman Catholicism and Srivaiṣṇavism are two religious traditions in which mediation, primarily through the use of images, plays a central role in soteriology. A comparison of various modes of mediation between these two traditions will highlight a dialectic of presence and absence, inherent in mediation, and will examine the various ways of interpreting and dealing with this dialectic in their respective theologies. Three general categories of mediation are identified through which this comparison will take place: God, saint, and priest. / Images of the full presence of God, namely the eucharistic host in Roman Catholicism and the arcavatara in Srivaiṣṇavism, mediate this full presence either through the transformation of substance (as in Roman Catholicism) or through the appearance of materiality and limited form (in Srivaiṣṇavism). Saints and alvars can also be regarded as images or mediatory modes; the saint embodies and mediates Christ's presence, becoming "as if" Christ. This presence is manifested not only in the saint's life but in his or her relics as well. The alvar is regarded as an aṁsa or partial incarnation, thus manifesting a part of God, most notably His ornaments, weapons and companions. / A specific comparison of Mary and Aṇṭaḷ/Sri will further highlight the dialectic of presence and absence in addition to pointing out their unique status within their respective traditions. A comparison of priests and acaryas will show mediation in living images. Priests become "as if" Christ through their ordination, and are seen to embody him particularly in specific ritual acts. The acarya functions in much the same way as Aṇṭaḷ/Sri, mediating between God and the believer as an aṁsa or partial incarnation. / Different theological conceptions of God and incarnation result in the different understandings of mediation and the different ways that the two traditions deal with the dialectic of presence and absence. Images in both traditions also bring to light an "as if" conception in the mind of the believer; saints and priests function "as if" Christ and the various images in Srivaiṣṇaavism appear "as if" material or "as if" human, thus allowing them to mediate the divine presence to the community.

Darbe analizuojama bankroto proceso samprata bei jo ypatumai, darantys bankroto procesą tinkamą mediacijai. Autorė aptaria stadijas, kuriose galėtų būti taikoma mediacija tiek juridinių, tiek ir fizinių asmenų bankroto procesuose. Taip pat apžvelgiama užsienio šalių patirtis (Jungtinės Amerikos Valstijos, Portugalija ir Japonija) taikant bankroto mediaciją teisminiame ir ikiteisminiame juridinių ir fizinių asmenų bankroto procesuose. Analizės pagrindu pateikiamos išvados ir pasiūlymai. Darbas naudingas tuo, jog šia tema dar nėra publikuotas nei vienas mokslinis darbas Lietuvoje. Kalbant apie mediacijos taikymo galimybes bankroto procese yra skatinama mediacijos plėtra Lietuvos Respublikos teisinėje sistemoje. Remiantis šiuo darbu galima toliau tęsti tyrimus apie mediacijos taikymo galimybes būtent Lietuvos Respublikos bankroto procese. / Master`s final thesis dedicated to an overview of mediation opportunities in bankruptcy process. The thesis analyzes bankruptcy process conception and features that make bankruptcy process suitable for mediation. The author discusses the stages, which could be subject to mediation, in both legal and individual bankruptcy proceedings. It also reviews the experience of foreign countries (United States, Portugal, and Japan) with the bankruptcy court-annexed and pre-trial mediation of legal and individual bankruptcy proceedings. There are conclusions and suggestions provided according to analysis. This thesis is useful because in Lithuania there hasn't yet been published a scientific paper in this subject. Writing about mediation opportunities in bankruptcy process, are promoting mediation development in Lithuanian legal system. Following this thesis, there are possibilities to continue research on the mediation opportunities in the Republic of Lithuania bankruptcy process.

Defende-se que o desenvolvimento de competências infocomunicacionais associado à mediação da informação pode propiciar esse salto qualitativo tanto no usuário ao tornar-se independente na satisfação de suas necessidades informacionais quanto no profissional que potencializa seu papel de mediador. Assim, a proposta deste trabalho é analisar as competências infocomunicacionais desenvolvidas pelos arquivistas e a contribuição dessas competências no processo de mediação e formação de usuários de informação. Especificamente, objetiva identificar as potencialidades do arquivista para atuar como mediador no processo de formação de usuários de informação, aprimorar os indicadores de verificação das competências infocomunicacionais, aferi-las a partir do comportamento dos arquivistas e verificar a contribuição do emprego de tais competências na formação de usuários. Caracteriza-se a pesquisa como descritiva, aplicada e de natureza quali-quantitativa. A pesquisa bibliográfica configura-se fundamento conceitual e metodológico necessário para desenvolvimento da fase teórica deste estudo. Quanto à fase empírica, adotou-se o questionário online como instrumento de coleta de dados. A amostra é composta por 53 arquivistas que atuam nos arquivos brasileiros (públicos e privados), o questionário foi enviado através de grupos e comunidades online que reúnem profissionais da área. A análise dos dados se baseia prioritariamente nas categorias de análise e indicadores desenvolvidos, a partir da pesquisa bibliográfica, para aferir as competências infocomunicacionais dos arquivistas. Para tanto, estabeleceu-se três níveis: descrição, comparação e interpretação. As informações coletadas foram descritas fielmente, comparadas com os indicadores de verificação das competências infocomunicacionais e interpretados. Como resultado da pesquisa teórica tem-se a aprimoração dos indicadores de verificação das competências infocomunicacionais e formação de usuários aplicados na pesquisa empírica. Os resultados empíricos mostraram que há relações entre o emprego das competências infocomunicacionais e a atuação do arquivista ao mediar a informação. De forma geral, as competências infocomunicacionais estão mais desenvolvidas no que diz respeito a identificar a necessidade de informação, buscar e avaliar a informação, estabelecer e avaliar a comunicação. Contudo, são identificados obstáculos para se apropriar das informações e manter uma postura mais participativa e colaborativa. Dessa forma, conclui-se que o emprego dessas competências pelos arquivistas influencia diretamente na sua atuação enquanto mediador da informação. E que essa atuação aliada à sua auto-percepção vai interferir diretamente na formação de usuários. / ABSTRACT - The activity of mediation of information, quite present in the studies and practices of librarians, is still little approached in the Brazilian archival scope. Considering a society increasingly based on the use of information, it seems essential that the archivist also act in the training of information users. From this perspective, mediation is understood as a collaborative process capable of promoting the appropriation of information and, therefore, a qualitative leap in users. It is argued that the development of infocommunication competences associated with mediation of information can propitiate this qualitative leap both in the user by becoming independent in the satisfaction of their informational needs and in the professional that enhances their role of mediator. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to analyze the infocommunication competences developed by the archivists and the contribution of these competences in the process of mediation and training of information users. Specifically, it aims to identify the potential of the archivist to act as mediator in the process of training information users, to improve the indicators of verification of the infocommunication competences, to assess them from the behavior of the archivists and to verify the contribution of the employment of such skills in the formation of users. The research is described as descriptive, applied and qualitative-quantitative. The bibliographical research constitutes the conceptual and methodological foundation necessary for the development of the theoretical phase of this study. As for the empirical phase, the online questionnaire was adopted as a data collection instrument, the sample is composed of 53 archivists who work in the Brazilian archives (public and private), the questionnaire was sent through online groups and communities that brings professionals from the area. The analysis of the data is based primarily on the categories of analysis and indicators developed, based on bibliographical research, to gauge the infocommunication skills of the archivists. For that, three levels were established: description, comparison and interpretation. The information collected was faithfully described, compared to the indicators of verification of the infocomunicacional and interpreted competences. As a result of the theoretical research is the improvement of the indicators of verification of the infocomunicacionales competences and training of users applied in the empirical research. The empirical results showed that there are relations between the use of infocommunication skills and the role of the archivist in mediating information. In general, infocommunication competences are more developed in terms of identifying the need for information, finding and evaluating information, establishing and evaluating communication. However, obstacles are identified to appropriate the information and to maintain a more participatory and collaborative position. Thus, it is concluded that the use of infocommunication skills by archivists directly influences their role as mediator of information. And that this action coupled with their self-perception will directly interfere with the training of users.
