Skammens mur : En presshistorisk undersökning av fyra svenska tidningar angående Berlinmurens fall 1989 / The Wall of shame

Grenander, Jesper January 2017 (has links)
Abstract The general purpose of this study is to look at what four different Swedish newspapers reported about the Berlin walls fall. The newspapers chosen for the study are Ny Dag, Arbetet, Svenska Dagbladet and Dagens Nyheter. The method used is a qualitative method while analyzing newspaper materials. This is accomplished by using four different questions. What was the reaction? What was the predicted future? How the magazines opinion is shown through their general ideological believes? Was the Berlin walls fall viewed as a threat? The general reaction was a euphoric feeling and a new time for Europe. The future talks centered on the uniting of the two Germanys and why this should or shouldn’t happen. The political messages were different in every newspaper. Svenska Dagbladet went hard against communism while Ny Dag defended it. Arbetets reporting was milder and Dagens Nyheter tried to play both sides. The newspapers did report about a threat perspective and it was about the relationship between superpowers and the impending question about immigrants from DDR. The threat perspective was lowering while a peace perspective was rising.

The following paper is a study about how three Swedish workingclass news papers, Arbetet, Norrskensflamman and Ny Dag, describe and stigmatized the common strike braker in may 1931. I chose in particulary this month because of the tradgic events in Ådalen 14th of may 1931, where five citizens got killed by the Swedish military during a friendly demonstration and the strike braker was a part the unrest that was embossed among the organized workers in Sweden.

Olympiska spelen i Berlin 1936- Nazisternas propagandaolympiad. : En pressundersökning om svenska tidningars rapportering kring Berlinolympiaden 1936 under Nazitysklands regi. / The 1936 Olympics- Nazi propaganda Olympiad. : A press survey of Swedish newspapers reporting about the Berlin Olympics in 1936 during the Nazi Germany regime.

Rask, Sara January 2015 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to examine four Swedish newspapers' views on the Nazi regime in Germany during the 1930's, and examine what information the Swedish public received through their reporting about the Berlin Olympics in 1936. The survey method of the study examines four Swedish newspapers with different political views, and how they described the Olympic Games in Berlin, Germany in 1936 during the Nazi Germany regime.   The theoretical perspective used in the study is the agenda setting theory, where the focus is on how the Olympic Games were depicted in the Swedish press against the agenda setting theory.   The results show the difference in reporting about the Berlin Olympics, based on the newspaper's views of the Nazi Germany regime. Aftonbladet and Svenska Dagbladet show a positive attitude toward Nazi Germany, while Ny Dag shows great displeasure toward the Nazi Germany regime. Arbetet shows, like Aftonbladet and Svenska Dagbladet, a relatively positive attitude toward Nazi Germany, even though the newspaper sometimes expressed criticism directed against Hitler and his regime.

Ny Dag, Folkets Dagblad och Abessinienkrisen 1935

Lundgren, Magnus January 2019 (has links)
