Why the term 'Anglo-Scottish Struggle' between 1337 and 1346? Why 'The Perspective of English Official Documents'? What influence did the so-called 'Hundred Year's War' have on the Anglo-Scottish relations in the first years of the war? What impact did the 'Scottish issue' have on the policy of the English king during the Anglo-French conflict? How did the perspective of English official documents differ from that of English chronicles or Scottish/French primary sources? What role did the rhetoric of these source play? How was it portrayed? The following thesis will try to analyse some of the aforementioned issues and will strive to prove that the Scottish kingdom had a profound impact on the English policy in multiple respects from the outset of the Hundred Years' War until the battle of Neville's Cross almost ten years later.

A Strategic Approach to Sustainable Development through Official Development Assistance

Adopting a Strategic Sustainable Development (SSD) approach to official bilateral development assistance could result in more effective development planning that yields lasting results in developing countries. A Framework for Strategic Sustainable Development Assistance (FSSDA) based on SSD and customised to the needs of a development agency offers guidance in planning for development towards sustainability. This it does by directing donor and recipient planners in generating holistic perspectives, setting the goal of development as an attractive and sustainable society, and providing a flexible decision-making framework to guide strategic planning. Development assistance donor agencies face several difficulties in ensuring aid effectiveness. The FSSDA offers support in addressing these challenges by: positioning the creation of sustainable societies as the fundamental goal of development; allowing progress against imminent sustainability threats while minimizing the risk of unforeseen negative impacts; balancing economic, environmental and social considerations; and providing a fairer basis for aid conditionality.

This work was developed in the Program of Postgraduate Studies in Educational Technology Network, Professional Masters in Research Line Educational Development of Educational Technologies Network. The objective is to innovate in the provision of training mediated by Educational Technologies Network (ETN) through a MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses - Online Open Courses and Massive) for Moodle (Modular Object Oriented Dynamic Learning Enviroment). This research is justified by the fact that values training networking, promoting to the modality of Distance Education. To develop this work, it was adopt the research-action, resulting in the achievement of a vocational training via MOOC for improving the production of official documents in LibreOffice Writer. The product produced was Teaching Material for MOOC which was implemented in two phases: 1) module pilot in order to verify that the didactic and methodological organization of the course was well underway for the completion of the course; and, 2) MOOC, in order to promote not only training, but also the improvement of knowledge of the official texts in LibreOffice Writer. After analyzing the data collected in the pilot module, it was found that the teaching material and the strategy adopted to address the official writing in LibreOffice Writer were understood and were in accordance with the training needs of those involved. Analysis of the data obtained in the evaluation of research MOOC and its hypermedia courseware, realized that both provided the teaching-learning process mediated by educational technology network, in order to promote not only training, but also the improvement knowledge about the official writing in LibreOffice Writer. It was considered that the proposed objectives were included in the following measure: the "promote vocational training network through a MOOC writing of official documents in LibreOffice Writer, with hypermedia courseware" successful, since training was promoted network considered by course participants as excellent; 2) to "disseminate and encourage the integration of LibreOffice Writer to professional practices" has been satisfactorily met, since the course participants have expressed interest in joining this program to their practices; and 3) to "explore the potential of LibreOffice Writer to produce texts by hypermedia courseware" it was successful, as the course participants considered it great. Therefore, MOOC, it expands the supply of training mediated educational technology network, which, in addition to enabling access to a large number of participants, is a potentiating tool, through the practice of freedom, innovation vocational training network. / Esta dissertação foi desenvolvida no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Tecnologias Educacionais em Rede, Mestrado Profissional na Linha de Pesquisa de Desenvolvimento de Tecnologias Educacionais em Rede. Objetiva-se inovar na oferta de formação mediada pelas Tecnologias Educacionais em Rede (TER) através de um MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses - Cursos On-line Abertos e Massivos), pela plataforma Moodle (Modular Object Oriented Dynamic Learning Enviroment). Esta pesquisa se justifica pelo fato de que valoriza a formação profissional em rede, promovendo-a pela modalidade de Educação a Distância (EAD). Para o desenvolvimento deste trabalho, adotou-se a pesquisa-ação, que implicou na realização de uma formação profissional via MOOC para o melhoramento da produção de documentos oficiais em Libreoficce Writer. O produto produzido foi o Material Didático para o MOOC o qual foi implementado em duas fases: 1) módulo-piloto, a fim de verificar se a organização didático-metodológica do curso estava bem encaminhada para a realização do curso; e, 2) MOOC, com vistas a promover não só a formação profissional, mas também o aprimoramento de conhecimentos acerca da redação oficial em LibreOfffice Writer. Após a análise dos dados coletados no módulo-piloto, constatou-se que o material didático e a estratégia adotada para abordar a redação oficial em LibreOffice Writer foram compreendidos e estavam de acordo com as necessidades de formação dos envolvidos. Da análise dos dados obtidos na pesquisa de avaliação do MOOC e do seu material didático hipermídia, percebeuse que ambos proporcionaram processo de ensino-aprendizagem mediado pelas tecnologias educacionais em rede, com vistas a promover não só a formação profissional, mas também o aprimoramento de conhecimentos acerca da redação oficial em LibreOfffice Writer. Considerou-se que os objetivos propostos foram contemplados na seguinte medida: o de promover a formação profissional em rede através de um MOOC de redação de textos oficiais em LibreOffice Writer, com material didático hipermídia bem-sucedido, visto que foi promovida uma formação em rede considerada pelos cursistas como excelente; 2) o de disseminar e incentivar a integração do LibreOffice Writer às práticas profissionais foi atingido de forma satisfatória, uma vez que os cursistas manifestaram interesse em integrar este programa às suas práticas; e 3) o de explorar o potencial do LibreOffice Writer para a produção de textos por meio de material didático hipermídia foi bem-sucedido, dado que os cursistas o consideraram ótimo. Portanto, MOOC, expande a oferta de formação mediada por tecnologias educacionais em rede, que, além de possibilitar o acesso a um grande número de participantes, é uma ferramenta potencializadora para, através da prática da liberdade, inovar a formação profissional em rede.

This master's thesis entitled "Magazine Praha in 1970-1979" deals with the monthly magazine Praha, which was published by the National Committee of the City of Prague in the period from 1970 to 1991. This was a regional magazine for the inhabitants of Prague as well as for visitors to the capital, which kept its readers abreast of current events in the metropolis. The main topics covered were city administration and construction, urban transport development, Prague culture and history. The introductory chapter covers the historical context - the situation in Czechoslovakia in the 1970s, the system of state administration with a focus on the administration of the city of Prague, and the media environment of that time. The following chapter describes the emergence, development, characteristics, and thematic focus of this periodical and the position of the editorial staff within the framework of the Prague National Committee. The aim of this thesis is to provide a detailed description of the magazine's first ten years - with particular analysis being given to the contents of the magazine, its internal arrangement, continuity and the transformation of the individual columns and main themes, the composition of the editorial staff and the layout. The master thesis analyzes the Act No. 234/2014 Coll., On Civil Service, from the aspect of related legislation, Act No. 312/2002 Coll., On Public Officials of the Local Self-Government Units. When the Law On the Civil Service came into force, at the beginning of last year, two categories of officials were created. On the one side there are civil servants who are in service of the Czech Republic, on the other side there are officials who are employed by local self-government units. The analysis is focused on five areas, where it is possible to compare the method of legislation under both laws. After review of these selected areas, the application problems of the civil service are identified. At the end of the thesis, there are legislative proposals for changes that are inspired by relevant legislation.

The spa towns chosen for a comparison were Janské Lázně and Klimkovice which focus on the same indications for children as well as the Teplice Spa. The theoretical part introduces the concepts related to the spa tourism and deals with the children's treatment in the Czech Republic. The practical part deals with the analysis of the Teplice Spa and the comparison with the chosen spa towns. The outcome of this thesis will be recommendations based on the analysis of the spa facilities.

Notre thèse a pour objectif de renouveler la perception que nous avons habituellement de l’aide publique au développement (APD) à travers un nouveau concept, celui de « biens publics internationaux et mondiaux ». L’aide internationale ne doit plus être fondée exclusivement sur le caractère « charitable » ou/et « intéressé » des pays du Nord, mais sur une prise de conscience effective et collective concernant la préservation des intérêts communs à tous les Etats. En ce sens, nous entendons démontrer que le concept de BPIM peut éclairer d’un jour nouveau celui d’aide publique au développement (APD) et conduire à une conception élargie de la coopération internationale dans la mesure où la fourniture à la collectivité de ce type de biens est un enjeu fondamental pour la communauté du développement. / The objective of the present work is to present a renewed perspective for the study of Official Development Assistance (ODA) through the new concept of “International and Global Public Goods” (IGPG). International assistance should no longer be solely based on the “charitable” and/or “self-interested” behaviour of the North, but should be motivated by the collective realisation that such assistance preserves the common interests of all States. To this effect, the present work seeks to demonstrate that the IGPG concept sheds a new light on our understanding of ODA leading to a larger conceptualisation of international cooperation, where supplying such public goods becomes a fundamental stake for development.

In 2010, this curriculum proposal became the official curriculum. This research object of study is the proposed curriculum for the subject of history. Our main concern is to try to understand how history teachers that work in state schools understand, analyze and incorporate the official curriculum objectives, and procedures, and educational concepts, and guidelines into their routine and school practice. Research sources are constituted of official documents that support the proposal such as the base document, the teacher's notebook and student's notebook, the regulatory framework produced by SEE-SP and a set of four interviews with history teachers. Interviews approach teachers’ educational background, their understanding of the curriculum debate, their analysis of the implementation process and how the proposals present in the curriculum have been incorporated in their daily work at school. In this process, the text initially presents different curriculum theories that inform the current debate to show the approximations and distances with the official curriculum. Following, it presents the official curriculum, its foundations, guidelines and structural axes. At the end, it presents history teachers speeches, specifically relating their training to their understanding of curriculum processes, their reading of the official curriculum, the criticism that manifest, the experiences built daily to deal with the curriculum. In the face of the findings in this research, it is clear that there is little understanding of the curricular debate among teachers and that resistance or acceptance they manifest in relation to the official curriculum is guided by a conception of education that they understand to be critical and disruptive of the official discourse. The practices that they report show critics to the curriculum objectives, specifically to its imposition and linking with the pedagogy of competencies. Teachers defend the need for the curriculum to be standardized across the school network. They incorporate the proposed content, although making remarks to the form of distribution and organization. / El gobierno del estado de São Paulo, por intermedio de la Secretaria del Estado de Educación, he presentado y puesto en práctica, en el año 2008, una nueva propuesta de plan de estudios para todas las escuelas del sistema de educación pública del estado. En 2010, esta propuesta curricular se convirtió en el currículo oficial. El objeto de estudio de esta investigación es el currículo propuesto para la disciplina de la historia. Nuestra principal preocupación es tratar de comprender cómo los profesores de esta disciplina que trabajan en las escuelas de la red estadual de enseñanza entenden, analizan e incorporan en su cotidiano y en la práctica escolar, los objetivos, procedimientos, conceptos y directrices educativas presentes en el currículo oficial. Las prácticas que relatan muestran que se critican los objetivos del currículo, específicamente su imposición y vinculación con la pedagogía de las competencias, afirman la necesidad de que el currículo sea estandarizado en toda la red, que incorporan los contenidos propuestos, pero hacen críticas a la forma de distribución y organización. / O governo do Estado de São Paulo, por intermédio da Secretaria de Estado da Educação, apresentou e implementou, no ano de 2008, uma nova proposta curricular para todas as escolas da rede pública estadual de ensino. Em 2010, essa proposta curricular se tornou o currículo oficial. O objeto de estudo dessa pesquisa é o currículo proposto para a disciplina de história. Na sequência, apresenta o currículo oficial, seus fundamentos, diretrizes e eixos estruturantes. Ao final, apresenta a fala dos professores de história, especificamente sobre a relação entre sua formação e compreensão dos processos curriculares, a leitura que fazem do currículo oficial, as críticas que manifestam, as experiências que constroem ao lidar cotidianamente com o currículo. Diante dos achados dessa pesquisa, é possível afirmar que há pouca compreensão entre os professores do debate curricular, que a resistência ou adesão que manifestam em relação ao currículo oficial é orientada por uma concepção de educação, que eles entendem como crítica e contestadora do discurso oficial. As práticas que relatam mostram que se criticam os objetivos do currículo, especificamente sua imposição e vinculação com a pedagogia das competências, defendem a necessidade de que o currículo seja padronizado em toda rede, que incorporam os conteúdos propostos, embora façam ressalvas à forma de distribuição e organização.
