Offline Viewer : En digital lösning för förbättring av användbarhet i offline-arbete

Löfquist, Karl January 2020 (has links)

Ensgård, Malin, Hallberg Nilsson, Lisa January 2019 (has links)
Abstract Title: Online versus Offline - A comparative qualitative study on how young individual’s health and social relationships are influenced by connection versus disconnection Authors: Malin Ensgård, Lisa Hallberg Nilsson Aim: The aim of this study is to compare how young individuals communicate depending on how connected they are to social media. More specifically how it affects their mental health and social relationships, and how their usage of social media platforms should be adjusted. Method/Material: In order to collect empirical material, we use focus group interviews and self-observations as methods. Main Results: The study has shown a general desire for those who are not disconnected to take more distance from social media. It also shows a critical approach to social media and an awareness that the choice of being connected or disconnected is important. Number of pages: 46 Course: Media and Communication studies C Department: Department of Informatics University: Uppsala University

Spatially Similar Practice Immediately Following Motor Sequence Learning Eliminates Offline Gains

Handa, Atul 14 March 2013 (has links)
Robust offline performance gains, beyond those that would be anticipated by being exposed to additional physical practice, have been reported during procedural learning. However, practice of unrelated procedural task performance within 4-6 hour after initial practice has been revealed to eliminate offline improvement. The present experiment assessed the relative impact of experiencing supplemental practice of a spatially or a motorically-similar procedural task immediately following practice of a target motor sequence task. Based on a contemporary model of procedural skill acquisition forwarded by Hikosaka and colleagues, we assumed exposure to a spatial compatible motor sequence rather than interfering would support rapid improvement in the production of the spatial variant of the target task without compromising important memory processes, which are conducted offline to improve delayed performance of the target task. Findings revealed the often demonstrated offline gain when the target task was performed in the absence of interfering task practice as well as the elimination of such gains when target task practice was followed with additional practice of either a novel or motorically-similar motor sequence task. While immediate performance of the spatially-similar task was facilitated by preceding target task training, offline gains for the target task no longer emerged. These data are consistent with a central premise of Hikosaka et al.’s model that a spatial reference system plays an important role early during motor sequence learning but highlight the sensitivity of offline gains to task practice order.

Offline Programming of Robots in Car Seat Production

Al Hayani, Musab January 2013 (has links)
Company Purtech in Dals-Ed manufactures molded polyurethane (PUR). Examples of products that include polyurethane are car seats. Robots are used to fill the molds with PUR and to apply the release agent (wax) in the empty molds. Turning from online programming into a graphical offline programming of release agent spraying robots is going to simplify the process by: Applying less of release agent to avoid polluting environment, to produce an easier removal of moulds, for the sake of homogeneous moulds and for economical saving in the cost of release agent Adaption of spraying paths to variation in production speed. Programming of complex spraying trajectories to deal with sharp geometrical subsurface Decreasing onsite programming time (when program a new workpiece or modify an old one); so that robots would be free for production. While turning into offline programming brought the challenges of: Impact of variation in the production speed Lack of 3D models of workcell’s equipments Robot joint configuration when paths and robtargets are in move. Physical Joint limits, Singularities & Reach limits Collisions within the cell space. At the end, the following objectives are successfully met: Adaption of spraying programs to variation in production speed by developing and embedding a method in those programs. Graphical offline generation of spraying trajectories and optimization of those trajectories to the Purtech condition of spraying allowed time for each carrier. Simulation of release agent spraying process; and producing of a well structured RAPID program that reflect the simulated process.

Date Attachable Offline Electronic Cash Scheme

Hau, Hoi-tung 03 August 2011 (has links)
With the convenience of mobile network, people can do different kinds of activities, such as payments, shopping, auctions, and so on, whenever and wherever. Electronic commerce (e-commerce) has become so popular that the number of people using these online services has been increasing enormously in recent years. Hence, the security issues of e-commerce and the rights of users in transaction have raised our concerns. Electronic cash (e-cash) is definitely one of the most popular research topics among e-commerce area. It is very important that e-cash has to be able to hold the anonymity and accuracy in order to preserve the privacy and rights of customers. There are two types of e-cash in general, which are online e-cash and offline e-cash. Both systems have their own pros and cons, and they can be used to construct various applications. In this thesis, we propose a provably secure and efficient offline e-cash scheme with date attachability based on blind signature technique, where expiration date and deposit date can be embedded in an e-cash, simultaneously. With the help of expiration date, the bank can manage the huge database much more easily against unlimited growth, and the deposit date cannot be forged so that users are able to calculate the amount of interests they can receive in the future correctly. Furthermore, our scheme maintains the properties of e-cash, which are anonymity control, double-spending checking and unforgeability. We also provide security analysis and formal proofs in this thesis.
