Isomorphic Web Applications : Depends on how you react

Mathiasson, Eric January 2015 (has links)
Websites are today one of the most common ways for humans to interact with each other. Evolving from just static pages for companies to highly dynamic social medias, websites are built upon complex techniques and architectures to meet end-user demands. One of the latest techniques are single page applicationswhich makes use of the web browsers capabililities to execute application code. One drawback is that search engines cannot visit the site, nor can script-disabled web browsers. For a single page application to function on all devices a new concept called isomorphism needs to be considered. The aim of this thesis have been to analyze, design and implement an isomorphic web application using modern technologies. The practical work have been applied using an agile project method, while theoretical works are based on previous knowledge and an internet based research. The implementation went through several iterations of trial and error but was finally completed with Facebook's React framework together with a modified version of the Flux architecture. The resulting application was implemented in both Ember and the proposed isomorphic solution. Benchmarks of both implementations were carried out and compared with each other to see how the thesis' isomorphic solution performed. The results shows an performance increase in the isomorphic solution. In conclusion the full application was not implemented due to time limits, but the most performance critical parts were. While only one framework was compared, it would be of interest to compare with more frameworks to give a better performance overview.

A proteomic analysis of drought and salt stress responsive proteins of different sorghum varieties

Ngara, Rudo January 2009 (has links)
Philosophiae Doctor - PhD / This study reports on a proteomic analysis of sorghum proteomes in response to salt and hyperosmotic stresses. Two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2DE) in combination with mass spectrometry (MS) was used to separate, visualise and identify sorghum proteins using both sorghum cell suspension cultures and whole plants. The sorghum cell suspension culture system was used as a source of culture filtrate (CF) proteins. Of the 25 visualised CBB stained CF spots, 15 abundant and well-resolved spots were selected for identification using a combination of MALDI-TOF and MALDI-TOFTOF MS, and database searching. Of these spots, 14 were positively identified as peroxidases, germin proteins, oxalate oxidases and alpha-galactosidases with known functions in signalling processes, defense mechanisms and cell wall metabolism. / South Africa

結合中文斷詞系統與雙分群演算法於音樂相關臉書粉絲團之分析:以KKBOX為例 / Combing Chinese text segmentation system and co-clustering algorithm for analysis of music related Facebook fan page: A case of KKBOX

Chen, Po Yu Unknown Date (has links)
In recent years, because both smartphones and the Internet have become more popular, social network sites and music streaming services have grown vigorously. The monthly average of Facebook users hit 1.86 billion last years and Facebook Fan Page has become a popular marketing tool. Posts on Facebook can be broadcasted to millions of people in a short period of time by LIKEing and SHAREing pages. Using Facebook Fan Page as a marketing tool is more effective than advertising on television and can definitely reduce the costs. This study presents a process to cluster posts on Facebook Fan Page. Considering the complicated word usage, we grasped information on Facebook Fan Page and related information on the KKBOX website. First, we integrated the information on the website of KKBOX and expanded the text corpus of Jibea to enhance the accuracy of word segmentation. Then, we clustered the posts into several groups through Minimum Squared Residue Co-Clustering Algorithm and used discrimination Rate and Agglomerate Rate to analyze the distribution chart of Principal Component Analysis. After that, we found the suitable classification and could further analyze it. How posts are classified can then be found. As a result, we found that the method of this study can effectively cluster different kinds of posts and even cluster these posts according to its words, syntax and arrangement.

The usability of a computer-based Statistics Data and Story Library in the South African context

Basson, Elizabeth Maria 04 February 2002 (has links)
Vista University is known in South Africa as a historically disadvantaged or black university. It is a multi-campus university (it has eight campuses throughout South Africa) and caters for learners from historically disadvantaged backgrounds. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics holds an annual meeting to coordinate the activities in the department across all eight campuses. Attendance is compulsory for all lecturers from all the campuses. Every year the same problem arises, which is to have examination papers drawn up that will be of a uniform standard across all the campuses. It is a very frustrating task for the compiler of the papers to get contributions from the lecturers that are submitted on time, in the agreed format and of an acceptable standard. During the 2000 meeting it was unanimously agreed that the long-term solution to the problem would be a database of questions in the agreed format and of an acceptable standard. Because the lecturers are spread over South Africa, this database must be available through Vista’s Intranet. The development of such a product would involve a great deal of time and energy, and the most important question to ask is whether the lecturers would use the product. The solution is to design a prototype of the product: a database with a Web-based portal populated with a sample of questions. The usability of such a database must be determined to ensure the effectiveness of the final product. The aim of this study is, after a prototype of a Web-based Statistical Data and Story Library in the South African Context (in future referred to as SSS) has been implemented, to determine the usability of the product. Nástroj pro určování atribuce online marketingových aktivit / Tool for Determining Attributions of Online Marketing Activities

Šišák, Ivan January 2013 (has links)
The tool allows distribution of credit for the conversion to various marketing activities. So-called attribution modelling is concerned. The distribution of conversion is described by the models, except those most famous (first interaction model, last interaction model, linear model), that allow to create any distribution of conversion to several marketing activities. The use of this tool may be useful in the surveys of the effectiveness of marketing activities.

Sémantická analýza webového obsahu / Semantic Analysis of Web Content

Hubl, Lukáš January 2020 (has links)
This work deals with the topics of semantic web, web page segmentation and technologies, which are used in this area. It also deals with a modification of one web page segmentation method, specifically DOM-based segmentation, using semantic web technologies. Thus, this work designs the way of web page segmentation based on semantic analysis of individual elements of the web pages content. An application that demonstrates the functionality of the designed segmentation method was also created within this work. With the implemented application, experiments were performed, whose results are also part of this work.

Kan val av JavaScript-ramverk påverkaanvändarupplevelsen? : En jämförelse mellan Vue och Svelte

Kjellström, Johan, Drugge, Anton January 2021 (has links)
