Internetinės žiniasklaidos verslo organizavimo aspektai: mažos šalies patirtis / Online media business organization peculiarities: small country case

Mažeikienė, Giedrė 16 June 2008 (has links)
Blogging, journalism and the public sphere: assessing the value of the 'blogosphere' as a new form of the public sphere : a case study of the Mail & Guardian Online's Blogmark

Sibanda, Fortune January 2006 (has links)
The study seeks to investigate whether weblogs can act as virtual public spheres, where people can meet to discuss issues of interest to them. It uses the Mail & Guardian Online’s Blogmark as a case study. Weblogs – highly interactive online journals comprised of links and postings in reverse chronological order – are fast becoming an avenue of choice for many internet users wanting to share opinions and news with others online. Because of their unique read-and-write characteristics, some have equated them to the 18th century coffeehouses, around which the early forms of citizen involvement in public affairs began in early capitalist Europe. Despite their growing popularity, however, not much scholarly work has been dedicated to the practice of blogging in Africa, and particularly in South Africa. The study’s theoretical framework is drawn from Jürgen Habermas’s concept of the public sphere. While noting some of the criticisms of the Habermasian model, it is argued that the concept is instrumental in our understanding of the relationship between the media and democracy. The study, however, adopted a re-worked model of the concept of the public sphere. This model argues for the need to have a multiplicity of public sphericules (instead of one single public sphere as advocated by Habermas), around which individuals can congregate to discuss issues of common concern to them. Using a combination of qualitative content analysis, self-completion questionnaires and a semi-structured interview, the study found Blogmark to be an example of how emerging internet genres such as weblogs can be vehicles of citizen involvement in public life. A range of issues were discussed in the blog, from politics, race and ii i gender issues, to personal anecdotes, relationships, and sex. However, while some posts exhibited high levels of interactivity, with many bloggers joining in to offer their opinions, some read like online monologues. The study argues that although blogging is a practice that is still limited to a few privileged individuals, with the everrising size of the ‘blogosphere’, weblogs such as Blogmark are making a small but not insignificant contribution to the number of voices that can be heard in the public realm.

Fashion komunita ako príklad spotrebitelskej online žurnalistiky / Fashion Community as an example of consumer online journalism

Pavúková, Natália January 2018 (has links)
This diploma thesis focuses on fashion blogs and the perception of bloggers by their readers. The thesis is divided into three parts - theoretical, methodological and analytical. In the first part, I explain the terms that are associated with blogging and therefore journalism, online journalism, blogging, social networks, but also the character of journalist, blogger and the concept of an opinion leader. In the second part, I will present the procedures that I used for date collection, I will also introduce the research objective and describe the research file. In the last part, I describe the research itself, which I translated through a mixed analysis when I used both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Using a questionnaire survey, I perceived the perception of a fashion blogger from the viewpoint of its followers, their identification with the blogger's figure, but I also chose the supplementary question where I studied, whether the readers prefer fashion blogs or magazines and also the reason for their preferences. The results confirm the positive relationships of readers to the blogger, they consider him as an inspirational person who influences fashion trends, but also opinions on current topics. I see the added value of this diploma in revealing what readers think about bloggers and...

The research aims to determine and analyze how these two important online media in Latin America have used new technologies like HTML5 to modernize the information that they present. Therefore, the comparative analysis will stick to the multimedia infographics, which has undergone profound technological changes, changing the format and the content of the news. Besides the theoretical conceptualization and review of literature on infographics, newsgame, transmedia storytelling, online journalism, interactivity and programming languages used to produce multimedia infographics, the paper will bring foward a comparative analysis of the section Infografia, presented by Folha.com, and Especiales Multimedia, by Clarín.com. The analysis, quantitative and qualitative, will check the narrative and informational resources, tools and Internet programming language technologies that are used by the two media, based on the analysis model proposed by Alberto Cairo in the book Infografia 2.0 visualización interactiva de información en prensa. The research has shown that although the Clarín.com has used Flash technology in most multimedia infographics analyzed, the results of comparative analysis show that the Argentine online newspaper infographics allowed higher levels of interactivity than multimedia infographics in Folha.com, mostly developed in HTML5.

O uso de tecnologias digitais na produção de gêneros textuais jornalísticos por estudantes / The use of digital technologies in the production of journalistic genres by students

Ribeiro, Daniel José 28 July 2016 (has links)
The starting point of this research master's thesis emerged from the daily observation of the researcher teacher and the lack of interest of students from high school by reading and production of texts. From there, it was thought to propose a contribution to address this problem in school education. So, it decided to join the current and challenging idea of developing an educational project that allied digital technology - in general as well approved by adolescents and youth of today - the pedagogical work of understanding and production of journalistic genres, significant for social participation criticism. So this academic-scientific study deals with guidelines that teachers and students need to know to create a digital school newspaper and aims to achieve two objectives: develop and implement a set of theoretical guidelines and practices for the creation of a digital school newspaper in order to awakening in high school students interest in reading activities and text production, with the promotion of an interactive and collaborative learning environment; analyze the results of implementation of the proposed courseware. The theoretical framework consists of assumptions of Educommunication and Theory of Text Genre. In terms of methodology, the research is characterized as a field, literature, descriptive, experimental and analytical. The educational product was applied in five meetings of two classes each, along with a group of 2nd year of high school, a public school in the city of Londrina, Paraná, in 2015. The results in the application were well satisfactory: students developed journalistic genres of good quality, created the digital school newspaper Jornal Barão and participated actively and project enthusiasm. This demonstrates the validity of the functional use of information technologies in education as a good alternative for interactive and collaborative learning and knowledge for the (re) construction of school social subjects.
