Problèmes inverses pour des problèmes d'évolution paraboliques à coefficients périodiques / Inverse problems for parabolic evolution problems with periodic coefficients

Kaddouri, Isma 23 June 2014 (has links)
This thesis consists in the study of two problems associated to inverse para-bolic equations with periodic coefficients. We are interested in identifying one coefficient by using two different methods. In the first part, we consider a parabolic equation with periodic coefficients and periodic initial condition. Our work consists to consider the case of coefficient with weak regularity and to minimize the constraints of observations which are required to establish our reconstruction result. We establish a result of existence and uniqueness of the solution in adequate energy space. Then we prove a maximum principle adapted to the hypothesis of the problem studied and we work with measurable and bounded coefficients. Finally, we reconstruct the potential by establishing a Carleman estimate. The identification result was achieved via an inequality of stability. In the second work, we are interested to determine a periodic coefficient of the reaction term defined in the whole space $mathbb{R}$. We establish a uniqueness result by using a new type of observations. The nature of the studied problem allowed us to use the notion of asymptotic speed of propagation. We prove the existence of this speed and we give its characterization. We overdetermin the inverse problem by choosing a family of initial conditions exponentially decaying. Our main result is that the coefficient is uniquely determined up to a symmetry, by the observation of a continuum of asymptotic speed of propagation.

Caractérisation structurale et suivi du vieillissement par diffusion X aux petits angles d’un polymère époxyde : Contribution à l'étude des propriétés électriques / Structural characterization and followed ageing to X ray reflectometry (in the small angles) of an epoxy polymer : contribution to the study of the electric properties

Rekik Medhioub, Hazar 27 April 2009 (has links)
This work constitutes an innovative approach in epoxy based polymer characterization, where complementary physico-chemical, electric and structural techniques are used. The main objective of these studies is to understand both dielectric phenomena and properties associated to the space charges, as well as to follow-up their evolution in time or after the application of external constraints.Impedance spectroscopy and thermo-stimulated depolarization current (TSDC), measurements have highlighted dipolar and interfacial relaxations processes. Origin of these phenomena has been explained from physico-chemical and structural analyses. First, X-ray fluorescence measurements revealed the presence of two types of impurities, which are able to create deep energetic levels in the forbidden energy band. Then, X ray reflectometry measurements highlighted several periodic structures within an amorphous matrix. This structural heterogeneity explains the mechanisms of trapping and accumulation of space charges at the interfaces and gives a first reply as for the relatively high value of the polymer electric conductivity, calculated from current-voltage measurements.Accelerated ageing studies have been also carried out. They have shown that annealing creates charges which are trapped in increasingly deep energetic levels. Consequently, both the quantity of released charges and annealed samples conductivities have decreased. These electric properties changes have been correlated with the structural changes occurring within the polymer, and whose principal manifestation is the progressive disappearance of the ordered structures. This disappearance of the local periodicity has also been observed in the absence of thermal constraints (natural ageing), where it was shown that samples surface’s behavior is different from the bulk.

In her a modeling activity for teaching the sine function is presented. The research had two main objectives: to analyze the effects of mathematical modeling in high school in order to achieve meaningful learning; and evaluate a proposed approach for modeling, through stages and phases. In this second case it was intended to verify that the protoganismo teacher in presenting the phenomenon preserves the desired features of modeling, increase students' interest in mathematics and motivates you to construct new knowledge. The subjects were fifteen students of the second year of high school to a public school in Sao Paulo, with voluntary participation. This is a qualitative research, developed through participant observation. The model used is shown in Curriculum Proposal of the State of São Paulo. The research is guided by conceptions of modeling Beltrão (2009), Bassanezi (2006) and Ausubel learning theory. The activities were developed using as anchor metric relations in right triangle, the coordinates of points on the Cartesian plane and the study of angles in the trigonometric circle. As a result it can be concluded that modeling can be used in basic education such as teaching methodology, brings results for student participation in the construction of their knowledge, but it is not an easy task because it requires changes in teacher pedagogical practice and student to have to take a participatory attitude.

A revisão constitucional periódica

Urdangarin, Vanessa January 2016 (has links)
This study aims to investigate the periodic constitutional review established as an institutional improvement tool in the Portuguese Constitution of 1976, setting a sight on its adequacy concerning the Brazilian constitutional order. This research recovers the concepts related to the reforming power in order to establish the historical tradition of the constitutional reform in Portugal, drawing a comparison with the constitutional amendment procedure adopted in Brazil. Therefore, the analysis of the Portugues.e lnstitute of constitutional review was necessary to particularly explain the reviewing periodicity in order to verify the effectiveness of the institute through the Portuguese experience. Finally, this study presents the periodic constitutional review as an effective means to generate constitutional stability together with its facility to periodically provide the opportunity for improvement of the national institutions.

Investigation Of The Significance Of Periodicity Information In Speaker Identification

Gursoy, Secil 01 April 2008 (has links) (PDF)
In this thesis / general feature selection methods and especially the use of periodicity and aperiodicity information in speaker verification task is searched. A software system is constructed to obtain periodicity and aperiodicity information from speech. Periodicity and aperiodicity information is obtained by using a 16 channel filterbank and analyzing channel outputs frame by frame according to the pitch of that frame. Pitch value of a frame is also found by using periodicity algorithms. Parzen window (kernel density estimation) is used to represent each person&rsquo / s selected phoneme. Constructed method is tested for different phonemes in order to find out its usability in different phonemes. Periodicity features are also used with MFCC features to find out their contribution to speaker identification problem.

A Dynamic Theory For Laminated Composites Consisting Of Anisotropic Layers

Yalcin, Omer Fatih 01 March 2006 (has links) (PDF)
In this thesis, first a higher order dynamic theory for anisotropic thermoelastic plates is developed. Then, based on this plate theory, two dynamic models, discrete and continuum models (DM and CM), are proposed for layered composites consisting of anisotropic thermoelastic layers. Of the two models, CM is more important, which is established in the study of periodic layered composites using smoothing operations. CM has the properties: it contains inherently the interface and Floquet conditions and facilitates the analysis of the composite, in particular, when the number of laminae in the composite is large / it contains all kinds of deformation modes of the layered composite / its validity range for frequencies and wave numbers may be enlarged by increasing, respectively, the orders of the theory and interface conditions. CM is assessed by comparing its prediction with the exact for the spectra of harmonic waves propagating in various directions of a two-phase periodic layered composite, as well as, for transient dynamic response of a composite slab induced by waves propagating perpendicular to layering. A good comparison is observed in the results and it is found that the model predicts very well the periodic structure of spectra with passing and stopping bands for harmonic waves propagating perpendicular to layering. In view of the results, the physical significance of Floquet wave number is also discussed in the study.

O. Kuntze : fundamentals of dendroecology in subtropical moutain ecosystems in Brazil

Oliveira, Juliano Morales de January 2007 (has links)
Certain tree species present annual cycles of growth and dormancy, imprinted in wood as conspicuous anatomical structures – the growth rings. Temporal analysis of annual growth rings (dendrochronology) allows the determination of tree age and growth rate, with calendar year resolution, and to study long-term relationship between tree-growth and environmental conditions (dendroecology). Recent studies have found annual growth rings in many tropical and subtropical species. As in temperate and arid zones, dendroecological investigations may contribute for understanding the dynamics of climate and vegetation in tropical and subtropical ecosystems. Here, I review and develop dendroecological studies in biomes of Brazil, aiming to support further advances. According to a broad literature review, dendroecological studies in Brazilian Biomes have focused mostly on anatomy and periodicity of growth ring formation; few of them relate growth ring time-series to environmental conditions. The studies are concentrated in forested biomes, noticebly in Amazonia. In order to assist future studies I present a compilation of 124 species that produce annual growth rings. Novel studies on Araucaria angustifolia, a typical conifer growing in forest and grassland ecosystems of south and southeast Brazilian highlands, confirm its dendroecological potential. By means of cambium activity examination I show that this species produces annual growth rings, related to seasonal variations of temperature and photoperiod. Analyses of ring-width time series revealed regional growth patterns related to inter-annual climate variations. In a regional extent, A. angustifolia trees are, probably, sensitive the water deficit in December and January, as well respond to thermal conditions of May and June, in a complex manner. Divergent patterns between grassland and forest trees may be related to grassland fire regimes, moderated by rainfall during the fire ignition period (August).
