A. Hoffmann, segundo sua ocorrência no romance Lebensansichten des Katers Murr, sob a luz do entendimento da ideia do gênio de acordo com a reflexão de diferentes autores (filósofos, teólogos, escritores e críticos de maneira geral) de Inglaterra, França e Alemanha que se ocuparam da questão entre fins do século XVII e o princípio do século XIX na Europa. Sem desconsiderar os ecos e a influência da Antiguidade no que tange ao gênio, este recorte histórico se justifica por permitir que sejam explicitadas as diferentes tonalidades de que se reveste o entendimento acerca do conceito durante o período, assim como por possibilitar distinguir as características que mais fortemente marcarão a compreensão romântica do termo de um modo geral. A hipótese de trabalho frente ao fenômeno que primeiramente nos chama atenção, a influência exercida pelo personagem literário Kreisler sobre alguns dos principais expoentes do romantismo musical europeu no século XIX, levanta a questão de que, para além da identificação pela temática musical propriamente dita, talvez a confluência de um ideal de gênio romântico na caracterização do personagem literário seja determinante na influência exercida pelo Kapellmeister Kreisler. / Abstract: The present work aims at analyzing the literary character Johannes Kreisler, from the German writer E. T. A. Hoffmann, in its appearance in the novel Lebensansichten des Katers Murr, according to the understanding of the idea of genius from different authors (philosophers, theologians, writers and critics in general) of England, France and Germany who addressed their efforts to the discussion of the concept between the end of the 17th century and the beginning of the 19th century in Europe. Without disregarding the echoes and the influence of Classic Antiquity to the concept of genius, this approach through means of this historic time justifies itself by allowing the varied colors concerning the understanding of the concept during the period to be made explicit and also by allowing the traits which are going to be a mark to the wide romantic comprehension of the term to be specified. The research hypothesis in face of the phenomenon that first calls our attention, namely the influence exerted by the literary character Kreisler upon some of the most noticeable figures of musical Romanticism in Europe during the 19th century, brings up the question that perhaps, beyond the relation to the musical thematic, a confluence of an ideal of romantic genius in the occurrence of the literary character may be determining to the influence exerted by the Kapellmeister Kreisler. / Mestre

A figure willing to attribute Raul Seixas - hair, beard, physique - adorned with hat, cartridge belts and leather sandals, inspired by the bandit Lampião. The character performs advertising service advertising wheel in the commercial center of Crato, a town in the interior of Ceará. It is on public display that Raul Lampião presents its communicative practices, coordinating negotiations in which stand elements and features of an economic nature sometimes, elements and features of a social nature in another hand (Bakhtin, 1987; Bitti Zani, 1997; Thompson, 1998). In this context, we use the critical analysis of the narrative (Motta, 2013) as a methodology to understand the character, his speeches and his artistic expressions (Martin-Barbero, 2003; Carreira, 2005). At the end of this work, it is concluded that due to the complexity of performing actions (Hymes, 1975; Glusberg, 1987; Zumthor, 1993, 1997, 2003) undertaken by Raul Lampião the critical relationship established with reality is guided by its commercial activity, and vice versa, as a two-way flow that sustains and feeds on the varied and dissonant circumstances of everyday life. / A proposta desse trabalho é investigar a operacionalização das práticas comunicativas empreendidas por Raul Lampião do Crato. Uma figura disposta com atributos de Raul Seixas – cabelo, barba, porte físico - adornado com chapéu, cartucheiras e sandálias de couro, inspirado no cangaceiro Lampião. O personagem realiza serviço publicitário de propaganda volante no centro comercial do Crato, cidade localizada no interior do Estado do Ceará. É na exposição pública que Raul Lampião apresenta suas práticas comunicativas, articulando negociações nas quais sobressaem ora elementos e características de natureza econômica, ora elementos e características de natureza social (Bakhtin, 1987; Bitti Zani, 1997; Thompson, 1998). Diante desse contexto, utiliza-se a análise crítica da narrativa (Motta, 2013) como metodologia para compreender o personagem, seus discursos e suas expressões artísticas (Martín-Barbero, 2003; Carreira, 2005). Ao final desse trabalho, conclui-se que devido à complexidade das ações performáticas (Hymes, 1975; Glusberg, 1987; Zumthor, 1993, 1997, 2003) empreendidas por Raul Lampião a relação crítica estabelecida com a realidade é orientada pela sua atividade comercial, e vice-versa, como um fluxo de mão-dupla que se sustenta e se nutre diante das variadas e dissonantes circunstâncias da vida cotidiana.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / The following research emerged out of the remark that the main characters from major success TV shows for the last decade are – at first sight – quite unlike from what we usually comprehend as television’s “good guys”. They are contemporary beings frequently portrayed as complicated, unhappy and morally wrong. This description strongly separates them from attributes normally connected to the word “hero”: greatness, honour, strength, character, wisdom, dexterity, value, leadership. On behalf of understanding the possibility of the emergence and the popularization of this profile, and also to investigate if truly exists something distinguishing those from ulterior heroes, the hero’s trace was sought into humanity’s history, since its birth as a myth until its present consolidation. For the purpose of limning this profile, the current paper presents the analysis of two contemporary characters, videlicet, Tony Soprano, from The Sopranos, and Walter White, from Breaking Bad. At last, these analyses are articulated within the therapeutic discourse supported by suffering’s narrative. Considering the socio-historical conditions which allowed therapeutics’ discourse appearance and consolidation, as well as elements pointing at its ‘exhaustion’ while (being) a privileged subjectification discourse. / A pesquisa em questão surgiu a partir da observação que o perfil dos protagonistas de séries televisivas de grande sucesso na última década é, à primeira vista, bastante distinto daquele que comumente associamos aos mocinhos da TV. São personagens contemporâneos descritos com frequência como complicados, infelizes e moralmente incorretos. Descrição que os distancia fortemente dos atributos comumente associados à palavra herói: grandeza, honra, força, caráter, sabedoria, destreza, valor, liderança. Com o intuito de compreender a possibilidade de emergência e de popularização desse novo perfil, além de averiguar se realmente há algo que distingue o dos heróis anteriores buscou-se traçar a trajetória do herói na história da humanidade, desde seu nascimento com o mito até sua atual consolidação. A fim de ilustrar o perfil de herói em questão, o trabalho apresenta análises de dois personagens contemporâneos que o materializam, a saber, Tony Soprano de Família Soprano e Walter White de Breaking Bad. Finalmente, essas análises são articuladas ao discurso terapêutico, fundado na narrativa do sofrimento. Considerando as condições sócio históricas que possibilitaram o surgimento e a consolidação do discurso terapêutico, bem como elementos que apontam para um certo esgotamento do mesmo, enquanto um discurso de subjetivação privilegiado.
