Före detta kriminellas vägar tillbaka till arbetslivet

Liljendahl, Moa, Frödin, Hanna January 2021 (has links)

Program Evaluation of a County Reproductive Health Program

Pacheco, Christy Lee January 2012 (has links)
Northern Arizona women of childbearing age are at disproportionately higher risk for poverty and persistent health disparities in maternal risk factors and maternal child health outcomes. Preconception care is a lifespan and population-based approach to providing health promotion activities to women of childbearing age to improve the health of women, their families, and communities. The county's Reproductive Health Program offers comprehensive reproductive and preconception healthcare to underserved women and men throughout the county without regard for ability to pay, serving as a critical safety net for this vulnerable population. A formative evaluation was performed using the CDC's Framework for Program Evaluation in Public Health and retrospective chart review to assess program implementation. In 2010, 1,561 patients received care over 2,575 visits; the majority of patients (69.4%) were women of childbearing age (females 15-44). Most patients (92.9%) were ≤ 150% FPL, and uninsured (77.8%). Program patients were racially/ethnically diverse, with nearly half identifying themselves as White (48.8%), followed by Hispanic (35.3%), and American Indian/Alaskan Native (11.6%). Program reach was limited. Comprehensive medical and social risk assessment and health promotion activities were consistent with evidence-based recommendations. More than 3,400 STI and pap screenings were performed, with identification of 178 abnormal results at the primary program site. One hundred forty-five females had a positive pregnancy test at the primary program site, one-third (33.1%) to teens. For women of childbearing age not trying to become pregnant (98%), a range of family planning methods were provided, which most commonly included oral contraception (36.9%), followed by condoms (15.4%), and Depo-Provera injection (12.6%). More than 10% of low-income females 15-44 received referrals for further medical care not provided with program. Logistic regression analysis revealed program visits associated with a decreased risk of unplanned pregnancy, though this was not significant (OR 0.87, 95% CI 0.59-1.29, p>0.05). In conclusion, this program provided evidence-based preconception care to underserved women of childbearing age, though reach was limited. Additional studies are recommended to explore patient needs and barriers to improve reach and tailor services. Development of a community advisory council is recommended to guide program activities.

Reflexe prekonceptu přísudku v 6. ročníku ZŠ / Reflection of the Predicate Preconception in Studying Process in 6th Grade of Elementary School

Skřivánek, Vratislav January 2019 (has links)
The objective of the thesis Reflection of the Predicate Preconception in Studying Process in 6th Grade of Elementary School is to ascertain how the 6th year pupils (aged 12-13 years) think about the predicate. The thesis is grounded in constructivism which actively works with preconcepts, and is related to Czech language teaching. Predicate is described from the linguistic perspective as well as its didactical notion in the Framework Educational Program and in existing textbooks. 37 pupils from 4 schools in Prague completed a series of individual tasks specifically designed for the purpose of this study, and semi-structured interviews with these pupils were recorded, transcribed and analysed. The study shows that the pupils strongly prefer verbal predicate to its verb-noun variety, while they are still capable of suggesting a communication situation for either type of predicate. The study further investigates whether the pupils actively use nouns and adjectives as a non-verb part of a predicate. While adjectives were used frequently, using nouns proved to be challenging. The analysis proves that the pupils do not identify the predicate as a part of sentence important for the meaning of the sentence. The results of the study confirm that pupils consider the meaning of individual words rather than...

Overcoming intercultural communication barriers : Organisational Culture and Organisational Learning within a Swedish Textile Company / Overcoming intercultural communication barriers : Organisational Culture and Organisational Learning within a Swedish Textile Company

PODLESNY, PAULINE ANNA, ELZE, JENNIFER January 2014 (has links)
This thesis attempts to discover what actions are necessary to mitigate these problems within textile companies. Theories on organisational culture, organisational learning, and international management, were addressed in relation to intercultural communication. Using an exemplifying case of one single person within Eton AB, a case study research design was conducted. The data was collected through a qualitative research strategy and method, using self-completion/self-administrative questionnaires, and analysed using grounded theory. The general result of the thesis indicates that few communication errors between Eton AB and the participant exist. Therefore this interrelation can be seen as a positive example of intercultural communication within a textile company. In this context, it was the authors’ intention to identify the influence organisational culture and organisational learning have on intercultural communication. Certain aspects within an organisational culture are of importance to create a better integration of employees, hence influence intercultural relations positively. Organisational learning, likewise, has a positive impact, since it contributes to the creation of a better environment for integration. This thesis concludes with generalised measures which can be seen as a guideline and as first steps for textile companies in order to reduce intercultural communication errors. / Program: Textile Management, textile value chain management

This study sought to carry out a debate about the prejudice to the migrant in the scope of Social Work based on the perception and professional practice of the social worker of the municipalities of Guariba-SP and Serrana-SP, in this sense sought to analyze through interviews with seven social workers If the prejudice of the migrant is apprehended by the professionals, if it is reproduced by the subjects of research and if their occupational spaces are used to problematize this form of prejudice in order to collaborate with their confrontation. In order to reach a magnified look on prejudgment the debate on Social Service and understand how the theoretical approach is made on this issue has not yet performed an analysis of studies that address the prejudice by the two main magazines of the professional category, Serviço Social & Sociedade and Temporalis in the period between the years 2004 and 2014, seeking to ascertain whether the prejudgment to the migrant is present in theoretical publications of Social Work, if significant production on the various manifestations of prejudgment, if there is dialogue with the Social Service and theories which illuminate the analysis. During the construction of this work we care to address the relationship of Social Work with the category prejudgment from all point of view because we believe not only that prejudgment against the migrant is an important issue to be appropriate, but in addition, various manifestations of prejudgment that permeate society and, consequently, also the work of the social worker. The results show that social workers often find it difficult to understand the scale of prejudgment in their daily routine, as well as having alignment with the ethical-political project in the specific question not reproduce stereotypes to migrant and used his occupational space for confronting prejudgment in its many manifestations. The analysis of theoretical production, finally shows that prejudgment against the migrant is not a subject with a significant presence in the knowledge produced by category, and that even approaches on other forms of prejudice appear in small numbers.

Examining reproductive life planning practices among Title X clinicians in the Midwest: a mixed-methods study

Edmonds, Stephanie Westlake 01 January 2017 (has links)
The purpose of the study was to examine reproductive life planning practices among Title X family planning health care providers and clinical staff. Reproductive life planning is a program priority for Title X clinics, those that receive federal money for providing family planning services to low-income women and men. The goal of reproductive life planning is to decrease unwanted and unintended pregnancies and improve preconception health care however; this practice has not been described. First, a conceptual analysis was conducted to create a definition of reproductive life planning that was consistent with the literature. Reproductive life planning is a process that is centered on reproductive and other life goals and is personalized, collaborative, fluid, and focused on health-promotion. Second, a mixed methods design was used to examine reproductive life planning practices and qualitative interviews were conducted to explore barriers and facilitators to implementing reproductive life planning practices. Data were obtained from health care providers and clinical staff employed at Title X clinics in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, and North Dakota. A total of 148 clinicians completed a web-based survey which was analyzed to describe which types of patients, the topics covered, and the frequency with which reproductive life planning was discussed during an office visit. Surveys were then examined to identify 20 providers to conduct qualitative interviews with to further explore reproductive life planning practices. The qualitative interviews were also performed to explore the barriers and facilitators clinicians face to practicing reproductive life planning. The results of the web-based questionnaire were examined mainly with medians and frequencies to examine reproductive life planning practices. Qualitative interviews were coded using a content analysis approach to two aims; one to examine how reproductive life planning was using during clinic visits and two, to identify the barriers and facilitators clinicians face when discussing reproductive life planning with patients. Findings from the survey and the interviews suggest that most clinicians are discussing pregnancy intentions with their patients. However, from the interviews, three types of scope of reproductive life planning emerged; those clinicians who screened their patients’ pregnancy intentions, those who planted the seed in the patient’s mind, and those who explored the context of a patient’s life and their goals to contextualize how pregnancy and childbearing would fit into their lives in order to clarify pregnancy intention and move toward the corresponding health behaviors. It is argued that the third group of providers is using reproductive life planning as intended by experts. Finally, barriers to RLP discussions were examined as well as approached providers used to overcome the barriers. In conclusion, many clinicians are practicing reproductive life planning as intended, however many are not. Improved training and protocols are needed to ensure clinicians are providing their patients with the best reproductive life planning discussions. Additionally, systemic structures, like access to quality family planning services, need to be improved to aid clinicians in helping their patient plan their families.

Fritzon, Anna, Kaljur, Patric January 2008 (has links)
This study was an attempt to explore the conceptions of one group of students in the 7th grade about the reasons for seasons. The students were asked to, in writing, explain their conception about the reason for seasons. The study was inspired by phenomenography and the answers were categorized by comparing similarities and differences among a number of quotes taken from the answers of the students. Through the analysis, four qualitatively different conceptions were found, within one and the same group of students. The categories, each representing one kind of conception, “the luminous flux”, “the earth’s axis is inclined”, “the earth’s position in orbit” and “the distance between sun-earth varies” were found as conceptions of the reason for seasons. You might wonder how students, who have been taught of reasons for seasons by the same teacher, are able to develop four different kinds of conceptions of the phenomenon. It is very important for a teacher to have in mind that students have different conceptions of the same phenomenon and this study might help teachers to improve their teaching and help the students come to a deeper understanding of reasons for seasons.

První hodiny ve francouzštině jako cizím jazyce pro začátečníky - Nultá lekce / Lesson "zero" in textbooks of the French as a foreign language

Kodrasová, Kristýna January 2018 (has links)
This thesis deals with the issue of first lessons of teaching French as a foreign language which are important to stimulate children's interest in learning a new language, they are often called "lessons zero". The aim of this thesis is to describe and to compare lessons zero in different French textbooks and then assess them and show the possibilities for the teaching of first lessons. In the first part, the thesis deals with the psychological terms associated with lessons zero: preconception and motivation and their use in the first lessons of language teaching, then the thesis focuses on the lesson zero itself (its characteristics, goals, preparation, problematic points). The practical part is an analysis of ten chosen French textbooks, which are divided according to applied methods, audience age and the country of origin. During the analysis, the thesis works at first with lessons zero in concrete textbook and then it deals in more details with several specific criteria: name, number of pages, content, position of writing, use or non-use of mother language, activities on preconceptions, games, civilizations and visual aspect of lesson zero in chosen textbooks, which then compares. Based on the textbooks analysis of lesson zero in various textbooks that proved that they are heterogeneous in many...
