Le savoir en pratique dans une organisation hybride : le cas d’un syndicat professionnel / Knowing in practice in a hybrid organization : a case study of a professional association

Gasparyan, Armen 14 April 2016 (has links)
In our research, we focus on the dynamics of knowing in the context of a hybrid organization. We base our research on the knowing in practice approach (Gherardi, 2000, 2006; Nicolini et al., 2003) and the literature of hybrid organizations (Battilana and Dorado, 2010; Pache and Santos, 2010; Battilana and Lee, 2014). Thus, through the case study of a professional association (Fnaim), we study how the hybrid context of Fnaim, represented by a market logic and a professional logic, influences the knowing of workers. We base our research on the legal department of this association where the hybridity is strongest. We collected our data through 12 in-depth semi-structured interviews (including 7 lawyers, which is half of the legal service) combined with observations of lawyers in the workplace and archival documents. Our results show that the hybrid context is expressed in the work of lawyers by three aspects: 1) by the way they prioritize the various demands, 2) by the materials used in their work, and 3) by the development of their specific repertoire.

Relations inter-organisationnelles informelles et dynamique de l'entreprise : une approche par les microfondations / Informal interorganizational relations and dynamic capabilities : an analysis of microfoundations

Girsault-Haas, Aurore 01 July 2016 (has links)
Whereas formal relations such as alliances have been well-studied, informal inter-organizational relations still need to be analyzed. This gap in the literature leads to the following research questions: How do organizations manage their informal inter-organizational relations? What are the effects of such relations? How can firms organize influencing activities based on these relations? The theory of dynamic capabilities addresses relations between the firm and its environment. The dynamic capabilities of the firm can be defined as the capacity of the firm to sense and shape opportunities and threats, to seize opportunities and to reconfigure assets. They permit the organization to adapt to and to shape its environment. This work contributes to answering the call from researchers to analyze the microfoundations of dynamic capabilities. It studies the role played by boundary spanners, individuals playing an interfacing role between the firm and its environment, in the dynamic capabilities of the firm. Further, this research leads to the conceptualization of the capacity to manage informal interorganizational relations as a dynamic capability allowing the firm to develop its absorptive capacity, legitimacy and influence on its environment.

Problematika správy terminologie s případovou studií zpracování terminologického projektu v prostředí profesní asociace / Terminology management with a case study within a professional association

Hamáková, Tereza January 2019 (has links)
(in English) The presented master's thesis deals with the subject of terminology management and includes a case study carried out in collaboration with the professional association Jednota tlumočníků a překladatelů (Union of Interpreters and Translators, JTP). In the first part, the theoretical principles of terminology in general are described and the basic aspects of terminology management with the focus on terminological databases are presented. The reader is also briefly familiarized with terminology work at the EU level and some selected projects. The first part shall serve as the basis for the second part, which is of empirical nature and reflects findings discovered during the development of a database using the SDL MultiTerm 2015 software and glossaries provided by the JTP. In this part, the diploma candidate describes each step taken during the development and provides commentary on specific issues and their solutions. Finally, the experiences gained through the project are confronted with the theory and future prospects are outlined.

A Case Study of Business Strategy for Professional Civil Engineers Association

Wang,Chien Hong Unknown Date (has links)

The South African Society of Music Teachers : its history, contribution and transformation

Brown, Andrew Philip 08 1900 (has links)
This study records the history and activities of the South African Society of Music Teachers (SASMT) from its founding in 1922 until 2015, concentrating on the contribution it has made to music education in South Africa and the extent to which it has adapted to changing socio-political circumstances. Within the context of South African history and its education system, a study of the SASMT's Constitution, journal and other archival material was undertaken. The SASMT's reaction to changing trends in music education, including multiculturalism and the praxial philosophy, was contrasted with the activities of the South African Music Educators' Society (SAMES) and comparable overseas organisations. The mission and activities of ISME and PASMAE were used as a yardstick for determining the extent to which the SASMT fulfills the music educational needs of post-apartheid South Africa. Initially the SASMT provided a link between Europe and South Africa, focusing almost exclusively on Western Art Music. With an arguably colonial-based outlook, the organisation helped to unite music teachers by means of various projects and activities, as well as through its magazine and by forming a strong relationship with the overseas examining bodies and Unisa. Throughout its history, the SASMT has grappled with determining exactly what aspects of music education it represents, and consequently who should be admitted to membership. This became particularly pertinent in the 1980s with the formation of the South African Music Educators' Society, which highlighted the need for a more open organisation in the context of the fragmented education system of the times. The SASMT has a long, stable history, with a network of centres and institutional members, and in the late 1990s was appointed as the National Affiliate of ISME. Currently the SASMT is characterised by reduced participation in its activities and a membership that does not adequately reflect South Africa's demographics. The study concludes with recommendations as to how the SASMT might transform its vision to serve fully the needs of South African music education. / Art History, Visual Arts and Musicology / D. The history of the teachers association of South Africa and the role it played in the develpment of education for Indians in South Africa.

Jack, Jonathan Rajmangal January 1986 (has links)
Magister Educationis - MEd / Teachers and teachers' organisations have always been an intergral part of any community. More so in the Indian Community. The Indian teacher has always commanded great respect from his community and thus he has wielded considerable influence over it. Since the early days of Indian immigration to this country, the Indian teacher has played a vital role in all but political activities. In very recent times, however, he has taken a lively interest in the political aspirations of his people within the framework permitted by his conditions of service. The Indian Teacher is a member of the largest group of highly educated men and women in his community. No wonder, then, that the community has always looked to teachers and their organisations for leadership. The establishment of the Natal Indian Teachers' Society in the 1920s arose out of a community need in that a reception committee was required for holding celebrations on the occasion of the visit of the Prince of Wales to South Africa. From then on the Natal Indian Teachers' Society continued to make representations on behalf of its members and the community for a a better deal in education. This was not always forthcoming from the authorities. Hence, the teachers and the community banded together to provide and build schools for themselves out of the monetary contributions of teachers and parents. The Natal Education Department in its biased treatment of teachers in aided schools, who it claimed were the responsibility of the grantees and managers, led teachers to form the Natal Teachers' Union which was run on trade union lines. A vigorous fight was waged by this Union for service conditions equal to those of teachers in government schools. The Education Department relented when it recognised the rights of the members of the Union. Thus the Union disbanded and its members rejoined the Natal Indian Teachers' Society. Thereafter the Natal Indian Teachers' Society grew from strength to strength. The inauguration of the branch system gave rise to broader representation and rapid growth. The formation of the Natal Indian Schools' Building Trust saw tangible evidence of of the commitment of the Society towards solving the accommodation crisis in Indian Schools. Upon the transfer of control of education to the Department of Indian Affairs in 1966, The Natal Indian Teachers' Society changed its name to the South African Indian Teachers' Association in order to enable Indian teachers throughout the Republic to become members. In 1979 the Association changed its name to the Teachers Association of South Africa, thus dropping the racial tag attached to its previous name. This meant that membership was open to all teachers. Over the twenty years of its existence as a national body the Association has developed into a vigorous institution. Its growth in stature must be measured by its multifarious activities which have benefitted Indian education. As a result of its representation in various departmental committees the Association is able to make valuable contributions where its opinions are valued. The Association's own Subject Societies make a valuable contribution towards education by means of their various publications. The Association's concern for the welfare of its members is illustrated by the representations it has made to the authorities on their behalf. In some instances legal recourse was necessary. That a great deal of success has been achieved by the Association there is no doubt. That education for Indians has made vast strides in the last 60 years there is no about. This is due in great measure to the untiring efforts of the Teachers Association of South Africa. The Association will still continue its fight for a better deal, not only for Indian teachers and Indian education, but for all South Africans.

Cuidados paliativos e a construção da identidade médica paliativista no Brasil / Palliative care and the construction of medical identity paliativista in Brazil

Machado, Mariana de Abreu January 2009 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2011-05-04T12:36:18Z (GMT).
