Profil nakladatelství Paseka a jeho mediální obraz (1990-2018) / Profile of Paseka publishing house and its media image (1990-2018)

Šimková, Karolína January 2020 (has links)
The diploma thesis entitled Profile of the Paseka publishing house and its media image (1990-2018) aims to capture the image of the Paseka publishing house, which was founded by Ladislav Horáček more than thirty years ago and which has its firm place on the Czech book market. The first part of the thesis aims to acquaint the reader with the basic concepts and introduce him to the circumstances of the Paseka publishing house. Furthermore, this section describes the initial years of the publishing house, as well as projects and personalities that are inextricably linked with Paseka. The second part focuses mainly on the editorial policy of Paseky, which developed together with those who had just worked as the director of the publishing house. The third part of the work is focused on the current Paseka. Part of this chapter is acquaintance with the current editorial policy, important authors, publications and collaborators, but also with how the publishing house communicates with its readers. Finally, the final, practical part presents a quantitative analysis of selected media, which reported on Paseka in the period after the death of its founder Ladislav Horáček, ie between August 2015 and the end of 2019.

The Southern review: A history and appraisal

Unknown Date (has links)
"In writing the organized report of the findings an effort will be made, first, to present a historical sketch of the Review with background information explaining some of its whys and wherefores; secondly to introduce its editors, their work and accomplishment; and thirdly, to call the attention of the reader to the scope, magnitude, and performance of the Southern Review itself. In the course of examination of the journal some exercises in patience were performed; i. e., a listing of all contributors, the number of the contributions that each made and the volumes in which these contributions appeared; and a chart showing the contents of each volume; i. e., the number of the different types of essays included, and the number of poems, short stories, and book reviews published. These, as of possible interest to someone other than this writer, will appear in Appendix I and Table I, respectively"--Introduction. / Typescript. / "August, 1952." / "Submitted to the Graduate Council of Florida State University in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Arts." / Advisor: Robert G. The history, organization, and purpose of the Heritage Club, with an analysis of its publications and a brief history of its affiliated organizations, the Limited Editions Club and the Heritage Press

Unknown Date (has links)
"The greater the variety of people who succeed in unlocking the store-house to their intellectual heritages, the greater the bounty of the librarian. It is with these thoughts in mind that the present study is undertaken, the analysis and evaluation of the contribution of a single publishing house in the production and promotion of books characterized as 'the classics which are our heritage from the past in editions which are the heritage of the future.' The firm is the Heritage Press and its outlet, the Heritage Club, an organization which may well be studied to ascertain its contributions to some readers' intellectual heritage. The first step will be to relate the history, purpose, and organization of the club. Next, by making use of the publisher's statements in the house organ, the Prospectus for the Eighteenth Series, 1953, the publications will be analyzed"--Introduction. / Typescript. / "May, 1955." / "Submitted to the Graduate Council of Florida State University in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Arts." / Advisor: Robert G. A Critical Analysis of Newspaper Development in Taiwan Since the Lifting of Martial Law

Chen, Yu-Jen, 1957- 08 1900 (has links)
This study reviews the changes in Taiwan's newspaper industry during its current period of transition. Contemporary newspaper development in Taiwan after the lifting of martial law in July 1987 is evaluated in relation to transformations in the newspaper marketplace, journalistic practices, labor relations, and freedom of expression. This study concludes that changes in Taiwan's newspaper business are closely related to changes in the country's political atmosphere. The lifting of the Ban of Newspaper brought freedoms for which journalists had fought for decades; however, journalistic quality has not improved at the same speed. Changes will continue in the journalism industry; whether it grows in a healthy way is a topic for future study.

Pötzsch, Jenny 08 March 2022 (has links)

Supply chain integration i förlagsbranschen

Johansson, Erik, Lindh, Andreas, Rogarn, Klara January 2020 (has links)
This study focuses on digitalized communication solutions within a supply chain and the opportunities that arises when creating a more integrated supply chain for magazines. Our approach was to examine the supply chain for a magazine publisher based in Sweden. The data gathering process was based on a method of interviewing six different party representatives from the supply chain for magazines. The interviewees all hold different positions within different companies and are made anonymous in our study. The study shows that the supply chain for magazines has already come a long way in integrating but still there is room for improvement. When it comes to digitalization, we found that they mostly use standard communication tools between the parties such as email and phones but the automation processes has started and is on its way of being implemented. Within the supply chain the organizations have developed a trusting and transparent communication and have the possibility of integrating the supply chain.

6-[(2-Hydroxy-5-methylanilino)methylidene]-4-nitrocyclohexa-2,4-dien-1-one

Böhme, Uwe, Fels, Sabine 14 January 2022 (has links)
The title compound, C14H12N2O4, is nearly planar with a dihedral angle between the aromatic rings of 1.41 (8)°. The phenolic O atom is deprotonated and the N atom of the azomethine unit carries the proton, thereby forming an intramolecular N—H...O hydrogen bond. In the crystal, the molecules form inversion dimers via pairwise O—H...O hydrogen bonds.
