Impressão diluição : um aprendizado na chuva

Il s'agit de l'action de cueillir de Ia pluie. La pluie se présente comme matiere plastique de recherche et c'est ce qu'on exprime dans ce travail qui entrelace les Arts Visuels et l'Éducation. De maniere à que l'impression et dilution de l'eau et de supports constituent le mouvement qui montre et parcourt, dans un processus d'expérimentations qui est un apprentissage. Pour ça, cette recherche produit des photographies et s'approche des notions de Ia gravure. Elle essaie des façons de rechercher avec l'art et Ia littérature puisque ces façons ont lieu à travers Ia poétique visuelle et l'écriture. Avec Roland Barthes, elle trouve dans Ia notion de Punctum le dédencheur pour Ia production d'un texte de désir, en s'approchant de l'expression française CoupdeFoudretrouvée dans les contes de Guy de Maupassant. CoupdeFoudrea comme figure l'Amour subit et immédiatpourquelqu'unoAinsi, l'amour, Ia pluie et Ia nuit sont des éléments qui ouvrent le texte et les images produites à des hasards et à des traversements non programmés. Dans cette rencontre entre le processus plastique et l'écriture, cette recherche a, dans Ia brieveté, dans Ia possibilité d'être incitée et aussi dans les marques qui restent et qui se diluent, son apprentissage. Apprentissage sans lequel, autant pour celui qui recherche que pour celui qui lit Ia recherche, un art ne se produitpas. / Trata da ação de colher chuva. A chuva apresenta-se como matéria plástica de pesquisa e é o que se expressa neste trabalho que entrelaça Artes Visuais e Educação. De modo que a impressão e diluição da água e de suportes constituem o movimento que mostra e percorre, num processo de experimentações que é um aprendizado. Para isso, esta pesquisa produz fotografias e se aproxima das noções da gravura. Experimenta maneiras de pesquisar, com a arte e a literatura, sendo que tais maneiras acontecem através da escrita e da poética visual. Com Roland Barthes, encontra na noção de Punctum o disparador para a produção de um texto de desejo. Junto a esta noção, o trabalho aproxima a expressão francesa Coupde Foudreencontrada em contos de Guy de Maupassant. CoupdeFoudretraduz-se literalmente por golpede relâmpagoe tem como figura o Amor àprimeiravista. Assim, o amor, a chuva e a noite são elementos que abrem o texto e as imagens produzidas para acasos e atravessamentos não programados. Neste encontro entre o processo plástico e a escrita, tal pesquisa tem na brevidade, na possibilidade de ser pungido e também nas marcas que permanecem e que se diluem, seu aprendizado. Aprendizado sem o qual, tanto para quem pesquisa ecomo também para quem lê a pesquisa, uma arte não acontece.

Title: Fylogenetic aspects of human locomotion Objectives: To find fylogenetic connection between human locomotion and animal locomotion as animal are considered to be our predecessors. Methods: Study and analysis of accessible literary sources. The results gained in the research will be generalized and used to find the fylogenetic connection of human and animal locomotion. Results: Similar locomotive principles happened to be found in connection with first vertebrates, amphibians, birds, mammals and humans. The need for presence of punctum fixum was also found to implement the crossed motion model. There were summarized necessary adaptations to bipedal human locomotion. Ineradicable Pasts: The Force of Historical Trauma in Robert Penn Warren's Flood and Bessie Head's A Question of Power

This project examines how fiction writers of the U.S. South and South Africa have grappled with the negotiation of the after-effects of national and individual trauma and how their texts implicate the reader in the suffering being represented. Chapter I seeks to make a connection between the theories of Freud, Cathy Caruth, and Dominick LaCapra as they relate to narrative representation of trauma and the position of the reader. Chapter II discusses Robert Penn Warren’s Flood through the lens of melancholia and trauma theory, showing how Warren depicts the elusive force of historical trauma through a protagonist charged with narrativizing an experience that resists articulation. Chapter III examines the notion of madness and the inward turning of suffering as discussed in scholarship on Head’s A Question of Power, arguing that through a punctum-like element, Head shows the transmission of intergenerational trauma in spite of an inward turning of suffering.

Introduction: This thesis investigates the relationships that curators have with the collections they oversee. The aim of the study is to learn how this relationship shapes the curators, the objects, and the storeroom itself. An additional purpose is to see whether this relationship creates and maintains a hierarchy of objects in the storerooms. Method: Eight semi-structured interviews were conducted with curators working in Sweden at Nationalmuseum of Sweden, Army Museum, Swedish Museum of Performing Arts, Museum Gustavianum, The Museum of Evolution, The Jewish Museum and Skansen. The interviews were tape recorded and the transcripts composed the data for the analysis. Analysis: A qualitative content analysis was carried out on the data. Object-love and material punctum were used as the study’s theoretical and analytical framework. Including three concepts defined by the author as formal-, informal-, and personal- object hierarchies. Results: Personal and emotional relationships to the collections did exist. They were intertwined with the professional relationship and formed a unique love called object-love. A love that defined and regulated both the personal and professional sides of the relationship. A combination of knowledge, intimacy, interest, and time were key factors for the formation of an emotional bond to the objects. The personal relationships further helped create personal and informal object hierarchies in the storerooms but were not exclusively responsible for them. Other factors such as formal object hierarchies and old hierarchical systems contributed to their existence. Conclusion: Object-love is a vital part of a successful curatorship, as it drives the curators to do a good job and go the extra mile. Since prioritization is a big part of the curator’s everyday work, informal and personal object hierarchies become a necessity in the storerooms. Because of object-love these hierarchies fall in line with the museums broader mission. This is a two years master's thesis in museum and heritage studies

Změny aktivity respirační svalů ve vodním prostřední - spirometrická studie / Respiratory muscle strenght during water immersion - spirometical experiment.

Our study focuses on the connection between existence of a punctum fixum (or point of support) and respiratory muscle strength. Respiratory muscles execute both respiratory and postural function. Therefore, their strength defines both of these functions. We summarize contemporary knowledge about respiratory and postural functions of the respiratory muscles, their interactions and the connection to postural stability. We used a spirometry assesment of maximal respiratory pressures (PImax and PEmax). The values of PImax (PEmax respectively) retrieved in stance and during water immersion without stable support were compared. We found statistically significant differences. PImax was lower in the water immersion situation (p=0,0009; p≤0,05) and so was PEmax (p=0,0076; p≤0,05). Regarding the results, we suppose a significant influence of punctum fixum presence/absence on maximal respiratory muscle strength. Possible reasons are discussed.

本篇論文意在分析探討葛拉斯的小說《錫鼓》中主角侏儒奧斯卡照片影像式的敘事觀點,以其顛覆且批判德國二次大戰納粹時期的歷史。透過侏儒奧斯卡以回憶述說故事的方式,從被主流歷史掩埋的廢墟殘跡中,提出斷簡殘篇但相互關聯如星宿圖般的照片影像,以存留於照片影像中破碎的個人歷史抵抗正統歷史泯滅真相的力量。由奧斯卡小人物般卑下的目光如攝影鏡頭或伸縮、或放大、或停格的控訴納粹法西斯的惡行,及支持此一罪行的共犯結構— 德國中產階級的狂熱盲從,指摘納粹歷史如場荒誕鬧劇,德國小市民的亂倫敗德與搖旗吶喊的愚昧瘋狂。本論文欲透過班雅明(Walter Benjamin)、蘇珊•宋塔(Susan Sontag)、巴特(Roland Barthes)及德勒茲(Gilles Deleuze)與瓜達里(Félix Guattari)等人之理論架構逐章論述,分析奧斯卡之敘事觀點。首先以其畸形矮小身形猶如攝影式觀看,維持自身與外在世界的批判距離,且將事件做極度怪奇的放大或縮小,試圖還原歷史洪流中被淹沒或為人輕忽的細節。接著透過奧斯卡親人的死亡和他們留存在家庭相簿中的身影,以之視為凝結停頓時空的休止(caesura)和刺點(punctum),交互出生者與死者,過去與現在,個人與歷史之間的辯證對話。最後探討照片式影像如部份物體(partial object)具有流動、多元、破碎的顛覆特質,檢視奧斯卡的觀點如何逃脫歷史、民族、國家所匯聚的統一整體,解除支配社會場域的「父–母–我」的伊底帕斯關係之力量,揭露納粹如父如神之形象背後的壓抑與荒謬,使其造成的歷史浩劫定格顯影。 / This thesis investigates Gűnter Grass’s The Tin Drum from the perspective of photographic images, using theories drawn from Walter Benjamin, Susan Sontag, Roland Barthes, Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari. Acclaimed as the greatest German novel written since the end of World War II, The Tin Drum is supposedly an autobiographical fiction of Oskar Matzerath, a character who, willingly stunting his growth at the age of three, has lived through the long Nazi nightmare and the loss of Danzig City. Wielding his tin drum and piercing scream as weapons, Oskar furnishes the reader with a profound yet hilarious recollection in the form of fragmented yet correlative photographic images on both German history and the human predicament in the modern world. Chapter One explores the effect of alienation resulting from Oskar’s grotesque perspective from Sontag’s idea of photographic seeing and Benjamin’s “distraction” element of the technical media. Oskar observes the adult world, from which he chooses to withdraw, from an unusual angle gained by his dwarfish size. His perspective, likened to the enlargement or close-up of a camera, displays the grotesquery in ordinary events to reveal what is hidden from us. Chapter Two prospects the force of interruption or arrest grounded on Oskar’s bereavement, with Benjamin’s caesura and Barthes’ punctum of photographic images. Death in the photographic images is endowed with the capacity to arrest and petrify the historical movement. The break from the present moment enables the rereading and refiguring of history. The Deleuzo-Guattarian conception of partial objects is employed in Chapter Three to explore how Oskar viewing the external world as objectivized images helps engender revolutionary forces to subvert the orthodox history. The photographic images in the appearance of partial objects break through the totalizing power of orthodox history and bring forth a dialectical optic to examine the past, present and future.

Para isso, cartografei meu próprio processo de aprendizagem e criação através dos diálogos entre o método de educação do movimento, Body Mind Centering®, inicialmente desenvolvido pela americana Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, das formas de extração e codificação de matrizes corporais mapeadas por Renato Ferracini, e dos princípios da performance estudados por Renato Cohen. Assim, o desafio desta pesquisa foi a utilização do material perceptivo, proveniente da prática corporal, para a elaboração cênica. Ou seja, transcrever as sensações em matrizes codificadas, visando uma apresentação final em que este procedimento fosse (in)visível. / The present project is closely linked to the artistic creation of the actor, his approaches, thoughts and methods. The project is located in the realm of the research of the scenic body , its movements and its continuous (re)meaning in the face of the spectator and, on its turn, facing its own (re)organization. To achieve my goal I mapped our own learning and creation process through the dialog between the method of educating the movement, called Body Mind Centering ®, firstly developed by Bonnie Bainbridge, through the method of extracting and encoding the body matrixes mapped by Renato Ferracini, and through the performances studied by Renato Cohen. Therefore, the challenge of the present research was the use of perceptive material, deriving from the body practice used to build the scene. That means, translate the sensations into coded matrixes, aiming a final presentation where the said procedure would be (in)visible.

From Her Point of View : Woman's Anti-World in the Poetry of Anna Świrszczyńska

This book is a monograph about Anna Świrszczyńska’s poetry. It may be described as one woman’s attempt to read another woman’s literary work by taking into account established canons as well as the tools of feminist literary analysis. Part One begins with a discussion of Świrszczyńska’s biography (Chapter One). It then moves on to an overview of critical (mainly male) reactions to Świrszczyńska’s work (Chapter Two), with special regard to Czesław Miłosz’s contribution to its interpretation and popularization (Chapter Three). In Part Two there are three principal discussions: 1) of Anna Świrszczyńska’s early work Wiersze i proza [Poems and Prose] (1936), in which the poet develops her specific female view of European art and culture as disintegrated into incongruent fragments. Her premonition of the apocalypse, which is soon to be fulfilled in the events of World War II, finds its expression in the poet’s desperate attempts to unite the fragments of a shattered culture into individualized versions of myths (Chapter Four); 2) of the collection Budowałam barykadę [Building the Barricade] (1974), in which what is most crucial to the poet (biographically and poetically) is expressed – the encounter with human suffering in an inhuman world. Following this, her poetic view of the mortal body exposed to suffering under an empty sky becomes a well established motif in her work (Chapter Five); 3) of the collection Jestem baba (1972), in which Świrszczyńska introduces into poetry, by making the non-poetical “baba” her lyric heroine, the “outlawed feminine” and, as a result, revolutionizes the language of poetry and poetic representation, which leads in turn to liberating herself from the hegemony of the totalizing male gaze. In this way her anti-world is created (Chapter Six). The “world” is understood here as a male term – one might say that Świrszczyńska creates a “woman’s anti-world” as a place where the woman herself has to regain the right to name things according to her own terms.
