Larmöverföring via SMS

Sylvan, Tomas January 2011 (has links)

SMS-baserat alarm med positionering : GPS based alarm with positioning

Nors, Niclas, Rehnström, Tom January 2008 (has links)
The study investigates how to design a low-cost, versatile event messaging system using SMS. A typical use case is a fire alarm or intrusion detector when equipped with appropriate sensors. With a GPS receiver connected, the actual position is included in the message, allowing for use as theft alarm in e.g. a car or in mobile home.

FPGA-design av en STDM-baserad multiplexer för seriell multiprotokollskommunikation / A FPGA design of a STDM-based multiplexer for serial multi protocol communication

Janson, Robert, Mottaghi, Amir January 2012 (has links)
The remotely operated underwater vehicles that the client develops have needs of different kinds of data channels. In order to minimize the need of physical cable between the control unit and a ROV, a multiplex protocol has been developed. The protocol has been designed with the aim of using the bandwidth of the transferring link as efficient as possible. The different kinds of data channels used during this thesis project is; RS232, RS485 and CAN. ROM and FIFO-memories have been used to be able to effectively manage the different data channels. All the reading and sending of these channels have been implemented in FPGA-technology, the coding is made generic so that it will be easier to add more channels to the system in the future. The multiplex protocol is a modified version of the method STDM and it is a proprietary protocol. Calculations has been made in MatLab to ensure that the protocol does not exceed the maximal bandwidth that is available. The protocol utilizes the error-detecting technique CRC for the purpose of error detection. A PCB has been developed during this thesis project, the PCB is made so that the different data channels have connection with the FPGA circuit.

Design and Implementation of a Security Mechanism for Smartcard

Yang, Shih-Sian 28 August 2009 (has links)
In this thesis, we used a encryption mechanism based on AES(Advenced Encryption Standard). Except for this mechanism, we also combine RS-232 Serial Communication Control, Smartcard and EM card which originally used in the Entrance Guard System to implement a new system. Eventually, this new system applies to a certain rental system practically. We also introduce some functions of this rental system based on the encryption mechanism, station initialization, bike rental, bike allocation and bike rental for credit card for example. In addition, we will describe what problems we met and the solutions we introduced to the problems finally.

Komunikační rozhraní pro ovládání spektrálního analyzátoru / Communication Environment for Spectral Analyzer Control

Smělík, Martin January 2011 (has links)
The aim of this master‘s thesis was design a new communication interface for spectral analyzer Seaward EMC Spectrum Receiver, which instead of the RS 232 interface is connected to a computer via the USB interface. This thesis contains both hardware and software solution based on the analysis and comprehensive understanding of communication between the spectrum analyzer and the computer. Further it contains the whole realization of communication interface and an example of measurement of the EMC problems too. Last part of this thesis was a realization of the automatic measurement via the development environment MATLAB and Agilent VEE, which was used for measurement of noise background.

GPS Receiver Testing on the Supersonic Naval Ordnance Research Track (SNORT)

Meyer, Steven J. 10 1900 (has links)
International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / October 27-30, 1997 / Riviera Hotel and Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada / There is an interest in using Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers to find: Time Space Position Information (TSPI), miss distances between a missile and target, and using the data real time as an independent tracking aid for range safety. Ashtech, Inc. has several standalone GPS receivers they believe can work at high g levels. This paper investigates how the Ashtech GPS receivers work under high g loading in one axis. The telemetry system used to collect data from the receivers and the reconstruction of the data will also be discussed. The test was done at SNORT (Supersonic Naval Ordnance Research Track) located at NAWS, China Lake, CA. The g level obtained was about +23 g’s with a deceleration of -15 g’s. The velocity reached was about Mach 2.0. A summary of the errors is included.

Undersökning och utformning av ett generellt datainsamlingssystem i LabVIEW / Designing a general program for data-aquisition with LabVIEW

Ek, Fredrik January 2005 (has links)
<p>This report is the result of a diploma work made at IMT at US in Linköping. The purpose of this piece of work is to investigate the possibility to design a general program for data-acquisition using LabVIEW, suiting different hardwares and connections. Great importance has been attached to communication with serialport, using bluetooth, because different wireless PPG-instruments has been developed parallel to this project. These PPG-circuits uses this type of serialcommunication. Communication with USB, GPIB and analog connection has also been examined and analog communication has been tested practically. But any serious implementation of these types in the LabVIEW-program has not been made. The paper starts with theory where LabVIEW, bluetooth, PPG, different connections and the different PPG-sensors is described concisely. Theory is followed by a"performance-part"where the course of action and the LabVIEW- program is described. The result of the work is an application in LabVIEW for communication with different PPG-sensors, where interface, protocol and file-standard/format has been designed. The program is adapted to prolonged measurements with full duplex. Measurements can be saved into ascii- or binary format, and signals can be studied carefully in graphs.Since only one PPG-sensor is fully made, a test in measurement and acquisition has been made with that sensor only. Ragarding the other PPG-instruments, the communication has been tested in hyperterminal.</p>

Communication link and code conversion between Vehicle and smartphone for low speed semi-autonomous maneuvering

Rahmatdoustbeilankouh, Bahram January 2015 (has links)
Something that has recently gained popularity in the leading car manufacturing companies is the integration of an auto-reverse assistance system to improve the customer experience. The undeniable spread of smartphones and their significant role in human life in recent years, gave rise to the idea of designing an application to be used for reverse driving. As a result, the car company Volvo proposed an idea for this project: to implement an Android based application to facilitate reverse navigation in their trucks. From a technical point of view, the most crucial obstacle that should be addressed is implementing a secure and reliable communication link between the smartphone and the truck's control centre. Hence, the primary goal of this thesis work is to provide a secure channel to transmit data and computing reliability of the com-munication link. Another objective of this project is to define a solution for auto-converting path plan function, currently developed in Matlab, to run on Android devices. In addition, this solution should enable the developer to modify the path plan function in Matlab without having to consider Android programming. The differential method has been proposed for transferring secure data transfer using Bluetooth technol-ogy. This solution not only increases the security of the communication link but also improves transmission time. Another objective has been reached by developing a middleware function using C programming language and Android Native Development Kite (NDK) between An-droid and Matlab. The result of these solutions provides a reliable communication link and runs the developed path plan function in Android phone.
