This master´s thesis is concerned with evaluation of the financial situation of the choosen company during the years 2008 to 2012. The master´s thesis contains theoretical background, the methods that are used to perform this financial analysis, information about the company and elaborated financial analysis. In conclusion, on the basis of established results, it describes the measures that should help to improve the financial health of the company.

This thesis focuses on a marketing strategy proposal of a cosmetic salon D. B. Art – Dagmar Bencova. There is an external and internal enviroment analysis included. Data of this analysis was used for a design of a marketing strategy. This strategy includes a recommendations, which mainly lead to the increase of a market share.

The thesis deals with the matter of usage of special asphalt binders for production of asphalt mixtures containing recycled materials in asphalt plant. For comparison analysis of characteristics of special binder used in roads is necessary to compose different mixtures of asphalt – one with binder containing R-materials, and another benchmark mixture with binder used in common mixtures without recycled materials. Investigation of features of mixtures with different binders is carried out by selected performance tests of asphalt mixtures. Evaluation and comparison of the results is described in the final section of the thesis.

Ziel der vorliegenden Bachelorarbeit war es, die Grundwasseraustritte im Forstrevier Ottomühle zu erfassen und zu bewerten, um Handlungsempfehlungen für die Renaturierung oder zukünftige Pflege der Quellbereiche und die forstliche Bewirtschaftung im Umfeld erarbeiten zu können. Zwischen März und Juni 2020 konnten insgesamt 19 Quellen im Forstrevier Ottomühle auf Grundlage einer Handlungsanleitung des Bayrischen Landesamtes für Umwelt erfasst und nach ihrer Naturnähe bewertet werden. The gathered data was used to develop recommendations for action, which include renaturation processes, future maintenance of the springs and forest management in the surrounding areas. From March to June 2020 a total of 19 springs were registered in the district. The collection of needed parameters and the proximate assessment according to a springs natural state followed the instruction manual of the Bavarian State Office for the Environment (Bayrisches Landesamtes für Umwelt). (in English) Diploma thesis "Municipal library in Odolena Voda as an information a cultural centre : Project" suggests possibilities of changes and expansion of library services provided by the Municipal library in Odolena Voda and suggests other activities so that it becomes in the future a modern information and cultural centre of Odolena Voda . The author briefly describes the history and current status of Odolena Voda. Another part is focused on analysis of current conditions of the Municipal Library in Odolena Voda - describes its building, the library collections, users and specifies currenly offered library services and activities in which is currently the library involved. The author also summarizes the Czech legislation related to the services of public libraries, and international standards and recommendations for public library services. Furthermore, in work as a basis for designing new services and activities of the Municipal in Library Odolena Voda gives an examples and experiences from other municipal libraries in the country. Introduktion: Hälsan är ojämnt fördelad redan i tidig ålder och förskolan har möjlighet att verka kompenserande för barnens ojämlika uppväxtvillkor. Förskolans agerande i pandemitider kan påverka barnens utveckling och framtid. Barnkonventionen slår fast att barn har rätt att uttrycka sin åsikt i alla frågor som rör barnet, dock saknas barns egna perspektiv i kartläggningen kring pandemirekommendationer i förskolemiljö. Nivån av health literacy har betydelse för vilken effekt olika insatser får, dock är barns nivå av health literacy sparsamt undersökt. Syftet med studien var att ur förskolebarns perspektiv undersöka deras förståelse och inställning till pandemirekommendationer i förskolemiljö, under covid-19 pandemin 2020–2021. Metod: Femton förskolebarn intervjuades med en semistrukturerad intervjuguide med bildstöd. Empirin analyserades genom kvalitativ innehållsanalys med deduktiv ansats. Kategorierna bestämdes utifrån pandemirekommendationerna i intervjuguiden. Sorteringen till tema utfördes enligt Nutbeams (2000) nivåbeskrivning av health literacy som analysredskap. Resultat: På funktionell nivå av health literacy framkom att rekommendationerna accepterades, samtidigt som det inte upplevdes bra att behöva undvika något. På interaktiv och kritisk nivå framkom reflekterande tankar kring rekommendationerna, framförallt vilken inverkan de hade på den sociala samvaron. Om rekommendationen innebar hinder för den sociala samvaron blev inställningen till rekommendationen mer negativ. Positiv inställning visades till handtvätt, utomhuslek samt att lämnas och hämtas utomhus. Negativ inställning visades till att stanna hemma när man endast var lite sjuk, hålla avstånd samt att inte ta på andras ansikten. Neutral inställning visades till att tillämpa hostetikett samt att undvika att röra sitt ansikte. Slutsats: Den sociala gemenskapen i förskolemiljön har stor betydelse för barn. Barn bör inte rekommenderas hålla avstånd till varandra på förskolan. De preventiva åtgärderna bör alltid vara i bruk, med särskilt fokus på handhygien och uteaktiviteter. / Introduction: Unequal health can be seen at an early age. Preschools can compensate for the unequal upbringing conditions. The actions in preschool environment in the era of a pandemic can affect the children's development and future. The Convention on the Rights of the Child states that children have the right to express their opinion on all issues concerning children, however, children's own perspectives are missing in the exploration of pandemic recommendations in preschool environments. The outcome of a pandemic intervention is related to the level of health literacy; however, children's level of health literacy has barely been investigated. Aim: From preschoolers´ perspective examine their understanding and attitude towards pandemic prevention and control in preschool environments, during covid-19 pandemic 2020–2021. Methods: Fifteen preschoolers were interviewed with a semi-structured interview guide with image support. Qualitative content analysis with a deductive approach were used to analyze the empirical data. The categories were formed based on the pandemic recommendations in the interview guide. Nutbeam's (2000) description of health literacy levels was used as an analysis tool when themes sorting out. ResultsThe results presented, at a functional level of health literacy, that the pandemic recommendations were accepted, but it didn´t feel good to have to avoid anything. The result presented, at an interactive and critical level, reflective thoughts about the recommendations, especially what impact they had on social interactions. If the recommendation meant obstacles against social interactions, the attitude towards the recommendation became more negative. Positive attitudes were presented towards handwashing and outdoors activities. Negative attitudes were expressed towards staying at home with only mild symptoms and towards physical distance. Neutral attitudes were expressed towards applying cough etiquette and avoiding touching your face. Conclusion: The social gathering that preschools provide are important for children. Children shouldn´t be advised to keep physical distance from each other in preschool. The preventive measures should always be in use, with a special focus on hand hygiene and outdoor activities.

In dieser Arbeit wird eine Theorie der transgressiven Kräfte entwickelt, mit deren Hilfe Kommunikationsdesign genauer analysiert werden kann als bisher. Dadurch ­können aktuelle Designfragen beantwortet und Handlungsempfehlungen für Praxis, Lehre und For­schung ausgesprochen werden. Die Arbeit richtet sich an Designerinnen und Designer aus Lehre und Praxis. Darüber hinaus an Akteure aus Design- und Bildforschung sowie aus design­nahen Disziplinen wie Architektur und Kunst. Ausgangspunkt ist, dass enkultivierte visuelle Elemente und Strukturen in einer frühen Rezeptionsphase Affekte auslösen. Die damit verbundenen transgressiven Kräfte können die intendierte Bedeutung oder Funktion eines visuellen Mediums positiv, negativ oder neutral beeinflussen. Beispielhaft wird die Rolle elementarer pikturaler Phänomene wie Linien und deren Stärke, Helligkeiten von Flächen und deren Strukturen sowie deren Prinzipien zur Anordnung im Kommunikationsdesign diskutiert. Positive visuelle Transgression verstärkt die Wirkung von Kommunikations­design-Lösungen nachhaltig, weil sie auf enkultivierten pikturalen Phänomenen basiert. Erreicht wird sie durch den kongruenten Einsatz von intendierter Bedeutung und visueller Substanz. It can be used to analyse communication design more precisely than before. This provides an answer to current design questions and delivers recommendations for action in practice, teaching and research. The work is aimed at designers in the fields of teaching and practice, as well as actors in design and image research and design-related disciplines such as architecture and art. The starting point is that enculturated visual elements and structures trigger emotions in an early phase of perception. The associated transgressive forces have a positive, negative or neutral influence on communication. The role of elementary pictorial phenomena such as lines and their strength, brightness of surfaces and their structures as well as their principles for arrangement in communication design are discussed by way of example. Positive visual transgression sustainably enhances the impact of communication design solutions because it is based on encultivated pictorial phenomena. This is achieved through the congruent use of intended meaning and visual substance. <p>This study comprises experimental investigations and theoretical/empirical analyses of three forced-convective (pumped) boiling schemes: (i) confined round single jet and jet array impingement boiling, and flow boiling through conventional-sized (ii) concentric circular annuli and (iii) rectangular channels. These schemes could be utilized in the thermal management of various applications including high-heat-flux electronic devices, power devices, electric vehicle charging cables, avionics, future space vehicles, etc.</p>

Occupational Health and Safety focuses on the well-being of individuals or groups of people in the workplace. Barnett-Schuster (2008:1) states that Occupational Health and Safety is a concept compiled from many different disciplines. Among others, it includes: biological hazards, physical hazards, chemical hazards, mechanical/electrical hazards and psycho-social hazards. The employer has to understand that Occupational Health and Safety should follow a holistic approach. Occupational Health and Safety is a Constitutional imperative – a command, - not a request. Chapter 2 of the Constitution of South Africa no. 108 of 1996, The Bill of Rights provides protection to such an extent that human dignity may remain intact. Therefore, compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation is of cardinal value to any organization or business. An organization or business can also improve their financial standing and public image by complying with Occupational Health and Safety legislation. Occupational Health and Safety in the workplace is guided by the Occupational Health and Safety Act of South Africa no. 85 of 1993, which was implemented in 1994. The Occupational Health and Safety Act further aims to present clear explanations on concepts related to Health and Safety and enables both employers and employees to gain an understanding of their distinct responsibilities. Occupational Health and Safety is a concept that has been around for decades – especially focusing on the mining sector of South Africa. Occupational Health and Safety is observed in the South African technical schools. Statistics from the Children’s Institute show that 350 000 of these children are currently not attending school. In most cases, many parents/guardians do not take the time to assess the safety of their children at school before enrolling their child. This assessment should not only be looking at security measures applied in the school, but if and how true Occupational Health and Safety measures are in place. Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is measures put in place so that learners/children are free from risk, injury, disease or harm. The lack of Occupational Health and Safety in South African schools is in direct conflict with the Constitution of South Africa. As stated earlier, Occupational Health and Safety is a Constitutional imperative which is the responsibility and the right of each individual in South Africa. The lack of Occupational Health and Safety in South African schools is a human rights issue based on the dignity of children. The lack of Occupational Health and Safety in South African schools can be seen as a policy flaw. This study intends to create a holistic view of the managing and implementing Occupational Health and Safety in the South African school environment. Occupational Health and Safety is an integral part of teaching and learning. The research problem addressed in this study is: “How School Management Teams (SMT) experience, manage and implement Occupational Health and Safety policies in South African schools?”. The main aim of the research is to investigate how School Management Teams (SMT) experience, manage and implement Occupational Health and Safety policies in South African schools. By exploring Occupational Health and Safety in South African schools, this study would strive to obtain clarity on whether enough is being done to ensure the health and safety of learners in the school environment by means to explore the current Occupational Health and Safety management in the South African schools, identify the guidance provided on the Occupational Health and Safety implementation policy, investigate provisions for continual assessment of the process of the Occupational Health and Safety policy and provide recommendations for the lack of Occupational Health and Safety in South African schools. / Educational Leadership and Management / M.
