Previous issue date: 2006 / This work identifies, describes and analyzes talks of women under situation of violence who denounce their aggressors to the police, at the Women’s Police Stations. Adopting conceptions about the power and the violence formulated by Hannah Arendt and Michel Foucault I try to talk about the gender relations marked by the violence and escaping to the polarizations between dominator-man x dominated-woman. I defend that the women not only react to the violence by many different forms, but produce, through their resistance - passive and active - places of anti-domination, that sometimes can assume what I call "situational power". These resistance behaviors are revealed through quotidian tactics at the private life space and through strategies of publicizing at the public space, when they go to the Women’s Police Stations. The concepts of tactical actions and strategies are taken, respectively from Michel De Certeau and Pierre Bourdieu. The work used as research field the Sergipe State Police Stations for Woman Protection (DEPM). I try to describe and analyze routines, ritualized institutional practices, organizational culture traces, that circule on the field of intersection among the Civil Police, The Women’s Police Stations and the expectations of the women who look for these offices. I try to identify their demands starting from two specialties: the cases where women look for the legal criminalization of their aggressor and the cases when they go to theses stations looking for conciliation, mediation of the conflicts, guarantee of rights and protection. The methodology combines qualitative and quantitative techniques, and have as sources of information: 836 Occurrence Bulletins registered in the 1990s, twenty-one interviews with women denouncers, twelve interviews with police agents and commission agents and with six social movements’ representatives. I also use as sources two experiences of researchintervention, carried out by not policies institutions together with the Sergipe State Police Stations for Woman Protection, dedicated to police education, with whom I experienced two situations of participant observations: the first one developed by the Human Rights Commission of the Sergipe Federal University and second by the MUSA (Woman and Health - Group of Studies on Gender Research of the Bahia Federal University). The analysis is delimited by a temporal variable: before and after the creation of an Attendance Center for Vulnerable Groups, created in 2004, to which the Police Station of the Woman of Aracaju passed if to integrate. My interest falls again into particular on the constitution of the Nucleus of Mediation of Conflicts, that functions at the Women’s Police Stations. I defend that the formal adoption of the instrument of mediation in a police space implies in a revision of the social function of the Women’s Police Stations. This assumes to change the conception of the police activity as mainly investigative and repressive, and to consider that the actions of mediation, assistance and counseling developed by the Women’s Police Stations are affirmatively constituted as proper actions of the Police.

Les résistances à l'Europe néolibérale: interactions, institutions et idées dans le conflit sur la Directive Bolkestein / Resisting neoliberal Europe :interactions, institutions and ideas in the conflict over the Bolkestein DirectiveCrespy, Amandine 17 March 2010 (has links)
The dissertation deals with the conflict over the EU Services Directive which is also known as the Bolkestein Directive. The general liberalisation and deregulation of the services markets in the EU has known the greatest politicisation of an EU issue ever seen in the history of European politics. It mobilised a wide range of political actors, including unions, diverse associations and citizen groups in several member states of the EU as well as in Brussels. The Commissioner for the internal market Frits Bolkestein and the directive proposal adopted in January 2004 have come to epitomize the neoliberal face of European integration. Due to its connection with the Eastern enlargement in May 2004 and with the ratification of the European constitutional treaty in France and The Netherlands in 2005, the directive proposal on services liberalization triggered a general debate over the economic and social nature of the EU polity far beyond a mere matter of public policy. After three years of debate and mobilization, the directive proposal was substantially amended in the European Parliament and clear limitations were put to liberalization of the services of general interest and to market deregulation.<p>\ / Doctorat en Sciences politiques et sociales / info:eu-repo/semantics/nonPublished

Hydrostatický pohon pojezdu multifunkčního nakladače DAPPER / Hydrostatic drive of multi-purpose loader DAPPERVydra, Tomáš January 2015 (has links)
This thesis deals with design of hydrostatic drive for multipurpose loader and tool carrier DAPPER. At the beginning is research of different basic concepts and modern solutions to the problem, aided by a detailed description of competitive machine in the same performance category. Extensive comparison with other producers is included in the annexes to this thesis. Furthermore, a theoretical driving characteristic and its appropriateness is examined further on the basis of two model situations. The calculations of the individual components of the hydraulic circuit precedes drive kinematics analysis of articulated machine frame, on it final conception of hydrostatic drive is chosen. Firstly hydromotors and hydogenerator are chosen on the grounds of calculations then hydraulic hoses, filters and flow divider. Next chapters are aimed to calculations of hydraulic losses and thermal calculation of hydraulic circuit. Final part deals with introduction the final characteristics of drive. The practical parts of the work are assembly drawings with main power components and hydraulic schematic of drive.

Competing constructions of nature in early photographs of vegetation : negotiation, dissonance, subversionLabo, Nora January 2018 (has links)
While the role of photography in enforcing hegemonic ideologies has been amply studied, this thesis addresses the under-researched topic of how photography undermined dominant narratives in specific historical circumstances. I argue that, in the later part of the long nineteenth century, photographs were used to represent the natural world in contexts where their functions were uncertain and their capacities not clearly defined, and that these hesitations allowed for the expression of resistances to dominant social attitudes towards nature. I analyse how these divergences were articulated through three independent case studies, each addressing a corpus of photographs which has been marginalised in scholarly discourse. The case studies all concern photographs of vegetation. The first one discusses photographs produced around Fontainebleau during the Second French Empire, commonly understood as auxiliary materials for Barbizon painters, and argues that they were in fact autonomous representations, reflecting marginal modes of experiencing nature which resisted its prevailing construction as spectacle. The second case study examines a photographic series depicting Amazonian vegetation, published between 1900 and 1906, and shows how, in attempting to satisfy conflicting ideological demands, these photographs undermined the hierarchies enforced upon the natural world by colonial science. The third case study analyses photographs from an early twentieth-century environmentalist treatise, and demonstrates how, while the author's discourse seemingly complied with conventional attitudes towards nature, the photographs instituted an ethical stance opposed to early conservation's aesthetic focus and anthropocentrism. Throughout the case studies, I argue that the photographs were consubstantial to the emergence of these resistances; that dissenting representations stemmed from a tension between their producers' lived experience and the ideological frameworks which informed each context; and that this process engendered remarkable formal innovations, which are not usually associated to non-artistic images. I contend that radical renewals of visual expression occur in all representational contexts, as image producers adapt their tools or forge new ones according to circumstances, and that more attention must be paid to such visual innovations outside the field of artistic production.

Bipolar complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (BiCMOS) processescan be considered as the most general solution for RF products, as theycombine the mature manufacturing tools of CMOS with the speed and drivecapabilities of silicon-germanium (SiGe) heterojunction bipolar transistors(HBTs). HBTs in turn are major contenders for partially filling the terahertzgap, which describes the range in which the frequencies generated bytransistors and lasers do not overlap (approximately 0.3THz to 30 THz). Toevaluate the capabilities of such future devices, a reliable prediction methodologyis desirable. Using a heterogeneous set of simulation tools and approachesallows to achieve this goal successively and is beneficial for troubleshooting.Various scientific fields are combined, such as technology computer-aided design(TCAD), compact modeling and parameter extraction. To create a foundation for the simulation environment and to ensure reproducibility, the used material models of the hydrodynamic and drift-diffusionapproaches are introduced in the beginning of this thesis. The physical modelsare mainly based on literature data of Monte Carlo (MC) or deterministicsimulations of the Boltzmann transport equation (BTE). However, the TCADdeck must be calibrated on measurement data too for a reliable performanceprediction of HBTs. The corresponding calibration approach is based onmeasurements of an advanced SiGe HBT technology for which a technology specific parameter set of the HICUM/L2 compact model is extracted for thehigh-speed, medium-voltage and high-voltage transistor versions. With thehelp of the results, one-dimensional transistor characteristics are generatedthat serve as reference for the doping profile and model calibration. By performingelaborate comparisons between measurement-based reference dataand simulations, the thesis advances the state-of-the-art of TCAD-based predictionsand proofs the feasibility of the approach. Finally, the performance of a future technology in 28nm is predicted byapplying the heterogeneous methodology. On the basis of the TCAD results, bottlenecks of the technology are identified.
