Permitindo que os indiv?duos tornem-se vulner?veis a S?ndrome de Burnout, esta ? caracterizada por exaust?o emocional, despersonaliza??o e realiza??o profissional. Nesse contexto, teve-se por objetivo geral analisar a qualidade de vida e os fatores de risco de burnout e verificar as poss?veis associa??es entre as dimens?es de burnout e os dom?nios da qualidade de vida apresentadas por m?dicos, enfermeiros e t?cnicos de enfermagem. Avaliou-se uma amostra de 436 profissionais em dois hospitais universit?rios da regi?o Nordeste do Brasil, em um estudo transversal e descritivo com abordagem quantitativa. Procedeu-se a avalia??o por meio da autoaplica??o dos seguintes instrumentos: Invent?rio da S?ndrome de Burnout, World Health Organization Quality of Life Bref e um question?rio complementar abordando as vari?veis sociodemogr?ficas e do trabalho. Os dados obtidos foram analisados por meio da estat?stica descritiva e inferencial. Foram detectados que a maioria dos profissionais estudados apresentava baixa exaust?o emocional, alta despersonaliza??o e baixa realiza??o profissional entre m?dicos e t?cnicos de enfermagem, entretanto, os enfermeiros expressaram alta realiza??o profissional (p = 0,04 e 0,01). Verificaram-se associa??es, na classe dos enfermeiros, entre despersonaliza??o e grau de forma??o; na classe dos t?cnicos de enfermagem (p = 0,04), exaust?o emocional e as vari?veis: grau de forma??o e local de trabalho, e entre despersonaliza??o e sexo; e na classe m?dica, entre despersonaliza??o e n?mero de v?nculos e realiza??o profissional e grau de forma??o (p = 0,01). Verificaram-se associa??es entre a exaust?o emocional e o dom?nio psicol?gico da qualidade de vida na classe de enfermeiros; entre a exaust?o e os dom?nios psicol?gico e rela??es sociais em t?cnicos de enfermagem; e realiza??o profissional e rela??es sociais na classe m?dica (p = 0,03). Pode-se observar que existem fatores peculiares do exerc?cio dos profissionais de sa?de que podem desencadear a s?ndrome nos profissionais investigados, bem como a influencia da s?ndrome na qualidade de vida desses trabalhadores. Sugere-se que novas pesquisas sejam realizadas com esses profissionais, e que esses resultados podem contribuir para instrumentar a proposi??o de medidas preventivas quanto ? sa?de mental dos profissionais de sa?de. / The changes that have taken place worldwide, in organizations, in political and social relations, have caused changes in the world of work and have generated a strong impact on workers' health and their quality of life, such as stress. Allowing individuals to become vulnerable to Burnout Syndrome, characterized by emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and professional achievement. In this context, the general objective was to analyze the quality of life and the risk factors for burnout and to verify the possible associations between the dimensions of burnout and the domains of quality of life presented by doctors, nurses and nursing technicians. A sample of 436 professionals was evaluated in two university hospitals in the Northeast of Brazil, in a cross-sectional and descriptive study with a quantitative approach. The evaluation was carried out through the self-application of the following instruments: Burnout Syndrome Inventory, World Health Organization Quality of Life Brief and a complementary questionnaire addressing socio-demographic and labor variables. Data were analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistics. It was detected that most professionals studied had low emotional exhaustion, high depersonalization and low professional achievement between physicians and nursing technicians, however the nurses expressed high professional achievement (p = 0,04 e 0,01). There were associations in the nurses' class between depersonalization and degree of formation; In the nursing technicians' class (p = 0.04), emotional exhaustion and the variables: degree of training and place of work, and between depersonalization and gender; In the medical class, between depersonalization and number of links and professional achievement and degree of training (p = 0.01). We found associations between emotional exhaustion and the psychological domain of quality of life in the nurses' class; Between exhaustion and the psychological domains and social relations in nursing technicians; And professional achievement and social relations in the medical profession (p = 0.03). It can be observed that there are factors peculiar to the exercise of health professionals that can trigger the syndrome in the professionals investigated, as well as the influence of the syndrome on the quality of life of these workers. It is suggested that new research be carried out with these professionals, and that these results may contribute to implement the proposition of preventive measures regarding the mental health of health professionals.

Severity among teaching professionals puts the teaching activity as one of the high-risk professions, in view of the individual, institutional and social repercussions. This dissertation consists of two empirical studies of qualitative design and set out to explore the knowledge of teachers about the Burnout Syndrome, as well as understand the factors used to interpret this process. The I study, titled "Burnout Syndrome: indicators for the construction of a diagnosis", aimed at understanding and identify, through detailed and systematic information, within a real life context, the elements that characterize the BS. Still, we tried to check the signs that characterize the process of diagnosis of BS from the categories Illusion at Work, Wear Psychological Indolence and Guilt, dimensions of BS related to the theoretical model proposed by Gil-Hill (2005). The II study, " Knowledge about Teacher Burnout Syndrome: process, risk factors and consequences", intended for knowledge about Burnout, its symptoms, its development process, risk factors, consequences and possibilities of intervention and investigated the meaning of teaching from the perspective of the teacher, with participation of six teachers of elementary school. From the first study, it was possible to identify elements that form the four dimensions of the theoretical model and the presence of indicators of profile 1, which, added to the sense of guilt, indicate the presence of indicators that characterize the profile 2, more severe clinical picture Burnout. Effective measures taken by the respondent prevented the occurrence of burnout and quitting the profession. The II study results showed is still incipient their understanding of BS, complicating diagnosis and treatment. Pointed out the need for clarification on the signs and symptoms of BS to the worker, as well as healthcare professionals, to the correct diagnosis. Recommendations are also thinking and planning effective intervention measures especially informative about their risk factors, possible expulsion for treatment and financial compensation. / A S?ndrome de Burnout (SB) tem sido considerada um dos agravos ocupacionais de car?ter psicossocial mais importantes na sociedade. Sua severidade entre os profissionais de ensino coloca a atividade docente como uma das profiss?es de alto risco, tendo em vista as repercuss?es individuais, institucionais e sociais. Esta disserta??o constitui-se de dois estudos emp?ricos de delineamento qualitativo e pretendeu explorar o conhecimento de professores sobre a S?ndrome de Burnout, assim como compreender os elementos utilizados para interpretar esse processo. A partir do primeiro estudo, foi poss?vel identificar elementos que configuram as quatro dimens?es do modelo te?rico adotado e a presen?a de indicadores do perfil 1, que, acrescidos do sentimento de culpa, indicam a presen?a de indicadores que caracterizam o perfil 2, quadro cl?nico mais severo de Burnout. Medidas efetivas adotadas pela entrevistada impediram a ocorr?ncia do Burnout e desist?ncia da profiss?o. Os resultados do estudo II apontaram ser ainda incipiente a sua compreens?o da SB, dificultando o diagn?stico e adequado tratamento. Methodological and descriptive survey,conducted in 2015, following the steps: situational diagnosis; survey content; selection and book report content; textual construction; creation of illustrations; typesetting of the manual; content validation with consulting experts; semantic validation with consultation to the target audience; adequacy of manual; spell check and Portuguese. Study participants in content validation; even experts and the semantic validation seven professors from the sixth to the ninth grade of elementary school from a public school of the city of Diamantina. Among the experts there was minimal concordance of 85.7% in items: language, illustration, layout, motivation and culture. A fact also confirmed by validation with the target audience. The overall content Validity index of the booklet was 0,94. We hope that the theoretical teaching manual, considered valid by experts and representatives of the target audience, be used by education professionals and that allows the discussion of occupational health in its class, providing better understanding, prevention and control of the syndrome.

S?ndrome de Burnout e autoefic?cia: um estudo com profissionais de enfermagem de hospitais privados de Natal/RN

The nature of the research was descriptive, and the used data analysis method was quantitative which was developed through SPSS computational package, version 17.0. The used instrument for the investigation was Maslach-Burnout Inventory (MBI), and the General Perceived Self-efficacy Scale (GPSES) was applied to a sample formed from 230 nursing professionals. The statistic techniques to data analysis were: frequency analysis; factor analysis; Cronbach.s alpha; Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin test (KMO); Bartlett efericity test; percentual analysis; Spearman rank correlation analysis; and simple regression. The achieved factors from factor analysis of MBI were the same, taking into account the dimensions which Maslach initially suggested to the instrument (emotional exhaustion, lack of personal realization, and depersonalization). However, one highlights that the low internal consistence of the depersonalization dimension can occur from people.s difficulty (caused by cultural aspects) of assuming this attitude in their work environment. Through GSE, it was achieved a factor which confirmed the unidimensionality showed by the author of the instrument. In relation to the syndrome incidence, it was verified that about 50% of the researched sample presented burnout syndrome evidence. Referring to self-efficacy level, about 65% of the researched sample presented low level of self-efficacy, what can be explained by the work characteristics of these professionals. In relation to the self-efficacy influence on the Burnout syndrome, it was verified that self-efficacy can be one of the aspects which influences occupational stress chronification (burnout), mainly to the personal realization dimension. Therefore, the researched hospital organizations need reflect about their attitudes in respect to their professionals, since the numbers showed a dangerous tendency regarding a predisposition to burnout syndrome of their staff, what implies not only a significant amount of individuals who can present high levels of emotional exhaustion, lack of personal realization, and depersonalization, but also the fact that this group presents low level of self-efficacy / A presente pesquisa averigua a influ?ncia do n?vel de autoefic?cia sobre a incid?ncia da s?ndrome de burnout em profissionais de enfermagem de hospitais privados de Natal/RN. Teve natureza descritiva e o m?todo de an?lise de dados utilizado foi o quantitativo, efetivado com o aux?lio do pacote computacional SPSS, vers?o 17.0. No entanto, ressalta-se para a baixa consist?ncia interna da dimens?o Despersonaliza??o que pode ser decorrente da dificuldade das pessoas (por quest?es culturais) assumirem tal postura no ambiente de trabalho. A EAEGP obteve um fator, confirmando a unidimensionalidade apontada pelo autor do instrumento. Em rela??o ? incid?ncia da s?ndrome, obteve-se que em torno de 50% da amostra pesquisada se mostrou com ind?cios de s?ndrome de burnout. No que se refere ao n?vel de autoefic?cia, em torno de 65% da amostra pesquisada apresentou um baixo n?vel de autoefic?cia, que pode ser justificado pelas caracter?sticas do trabalho desses profissionais. A S?ndrome do Esgotamento Profissional ou Burnout ? uma s?ndrome psicol?gica desencadeada em resposta ? exposi??o a fatores estressores interpessoais cont?nuos. ? considerado um constructo multifatorial, que ? comumente caracterizado por tr?s dimens?es: a exaust?o emocional, a desumaniza??o e a falta de realiza??o pessoal. Este trabalho teve como objetivo identificar a incid?ncia da S?ndrome de burnout junto aos servidores do Minist?rio P?blico do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte ? The Professional Burnout Syndrome or Burnout is a psychological syndrome triggered in response to exposure to continuous interpersonal stressors. It is considered a multifactorial construct, which is commonly characterized by three dimensions: emotional exhaustion, dehumanization and lack of personal accomplishment. This study aimed to identify the incidence of Burnout Syndrome with the servers of the Public Ministry of Rio Grande do Norte State - MPRN, assessing to what extent each of the three dimensions above are present in the study group at the same time sought analyze the relationship between variables demographic and functional partner and the dimensions found. In undertaken descriptive research, it was decided by a multimethod approach. Thus, we used the Maslach Burnout Inventory - General Population (MBI-GS), systematic observation and semi-structured interview. The results indicate that the prevalence of the condition in the institution is low, but are observed improvers aspects to the incidence of the disease that deserve attention, especially with regard to professional fulfillment. It is expected that the diagnosis undertaken expand the understanding of the relationship between work and health in the prosecution Potiguar, in order to subsidize preventive and interventional strategies of individual character, organizational and / or combined.

This research was realized in three public schools and in three hospitals, two publics and one from the military. We obtained 168 valid questionnaires for investigation about the syndrome of burnout, being 83 in the hospitals and 85 in the schools, among the questionnaires given in those two organizations. Worked with accidental sample, although it was decided the professional proportions, with the objective of reproducing the population characteristics. In the schools the sample was planned with the teachers. In the hospitals the sample was planned with doctors, nurses and nurse assistants, nutritionists, psychologists, dentists and social assistants. To assure the syndrome of burnout, it was used the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI), followed with social demographic information. We used semi-structured interviews, based in the indicators, with the organizations key persons, directors, coordinators, and people involved in the human resources department, for research about the organizational health. Only among the hospitals were found significant statistics differences between the scores of factors and the incidence of burnout. Besides that, it was observed as well that it is possible to establish a connection between the organizational health and the syndrome of burnout, this research main objective / Estudamos sobre a sa?de organizacional e a s?ndrome de burnout em profissionais de educa??o e sa?de, objetivando estabelecer uma rela??o entre esses dois construtos te?ricos. A pesquisa foi realizada em tr?s escolas p?blicas de ensino m?dio e em tr?s hospitais, dois p?blicos e um hospital militar. Dos question?rios aplicados nos dois tipos de organiza??es, obtivemos 168 question?rios v?lidos para investiga??o da incid?ncia da s?ndrome de burnout, sendo que 83 nos hospitais e 85 nas escolas. Trabalhamos com amostras acidentais, embora tenha sido planejada a propor??o de profissionais, visando reproduzir as caracter?sticas da popula??o. Nas escolas as amostras foram planejadas com professores. Nos hospitais, com m?dicos, enfermeiros, auxiliares de enfermagem, nutricionistas, psic?logos, odont?logos e assistentes sociais. Para aferi??o da s?ndrome de burnout, utilizamos o Invent?rio de Burnout de Maslach (MBI), acrescido de uma ficha sociodemogr?fica. Para an?lise de sa?de organizacional, utilizamos entrevistas semi-estruturadas com pessoas-chave das organiza??es, diretores, coordenadores pedag?gicos e pessoas envolvidas com o setor de recursos humanos, utilizando um roteiro baseado nos indicadores. Although existent in international literature, research on burnout in the professional transport category and studies directed to this category are not a tradition in Brazil. The research was carried out using 412 drivers and money-changers of two transport companies of Natal. To collect the data, two questionnaires and a semi-structured interview were used. The first instrument, developed and validated during the research, investigated the sources of wear and the second, the syndrome of burnout. As its main results, two sources of empirical wear were identified as follows: (1) the Conflict of Values and the Lack of Justice at the Workplace, (2) Union and Reward. Besides these, it was observed that there is an incidence of the syndrome of burnout among the drivers and money-changers of urban transport by bus, not only in the caring occupations studied before in Natal and Brazil and that this incidence is related to the sources of wear which permeate the work conditions of these professionals / Reconhecendo-se a import?ncia que o local de trabalho tem para a sa?de mental do indiv?duo, o objetivo do presente estudo foi investigar a rela??o entre a s?ndrome de burnout e as fontes de desgaste f?sico e emocional que permeiam ?s condi??es de trabalho do setor de transporte coletivo urbano da cidade de Natal. Embora exista na literatura internacional pesquisa sobre burnout, na categoria profissional de transporte, n?o ? tradi??o, no Brasil, estudos direcionados para essa categoria. A pesquisa foi realizada com 412 motoristas e cobradores de duas empresas de tranporte de Natal. Para realiza??o da coleta de dados foram utilizados dois question?rios e uma entrevista semi-estruturada. It is considered a multifactorial construct, which is commonly characterized by three dimensions: emotional exhaustion, dehumanization, and lack of personal accomplishment.This study aimed to verify if the three characteristics of burnout (exhaustion, lack of dehumanization and personal accomplishment) are present in people working as guides Tourism in Natal - RN. It is a descriptive and quantitative study. 109 subjects were surveyed. Data collection was done through the use of questionnaires, the instrument used was the characterization of the Burnout Scale (ECB) created and validated in Brazil by Trocoli and Tamayo (2000). In order to analyze data we used descriptive statistics, analysis of core measures, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, cluster analysis, multiple discriminant and Spearman correlation. Factor analysis identified four factors that explain 58.3% of the total variance. Those factors were named exhaustion, deception, avoidance, and dehumanization. The reliability of the instrument, as measured by Cronbach's Alpha was 0.918, which is considered excellent reliability. The 109 subjects were grouped into three cluster, which had the deception, avoidance, and dehumanization as discriminant. It is possible to conclude that the characteristics of burnout syndrome are present in the studied population where 19 people are on the high level of burnout, moderate in 32 and 56 in the light. The correlations between socio-demographic variables studied and the dimensions of burnout, were few and weak. The variable leave for health reasons in the study appeared to be related to feelings of exhaustion and avoidance behavior appeared related to younger individuals and who work only in the activity of Receptive Tourism Guide. Os 109 sujeitos da pesquisa se agruparam em tr?s cluster, que tiveram como discriminantes a decep??o, a desumaniza??o e a evita??o.
