Update of electrical installation in Volvo FM/FMX Crew Cab

Ehrinton, Jakob, Vähäkangas, Elias January 2023 (has links)
In today's society, technology that does not have integrated app control or digital control is considered outdated. In fact, the technological growth of new features and innovations has grown exponentially over the past 100 years. This rapid development makes it difficult for manufacturers of larger products and machinery to keep up, both due to time constraints and economic reasons. The purpose of the thesis was to evaluate the benefits of digitalizing the electrical system in a vehicle, as well as developing a demorig with accompanying electrical architecture that demonstrates its feasibility. During the course of the work, it became clear that the major benefits of digitalizationwere a reduction in errors and malfunctions, while increasing flexibility and communication capabilities. Finally, a fully functional solution was presented that was tailored to meet the requirements of Volvo Trucks, with the goal of being implemented in the next version of their Crew Cab. The logic behind the system was functionally tested in a demo rig that included all components from the cab. The project demonstrated a significant reduction in cabling with the ability to control components with high precision through pulse width modulation signals and transistors.

Smart Case for Remote Radio Kit

Östlund, Emil January 2019 (has links)
The thesis aims to develop a prototype for a Smart Case for Remote Radio Kits at the department of Demo & Event at Ericsson in Kista. The smart case consists of a mechanical structure (the case itself with ) and an electronic system that includes a temperature sensor, a LCD display showing the temperature, a GPS (global positioning system) module for positioning the case, a GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) module and a microcontroller Arduino UNO. The Case is modelled in 3D with the help of CAD software and then printed with a 3D printer. A down-scaled prototype is built with the help of the 3D printer and the 2D drawing will be used when the full scaled model is produced. The Arduino UNO handles temperature sensor and GPS measurements, LCD display, and the transmission of measurement data using GSM module via text message (SMS) to a cell phone or to a server over the Internet. The projected ended up with all the drawings and models finished for the Case as well as the implementation of down-scaled prototypes. The electrical system was tested and finished individually. But the complete system cannot be assembled inside the Case due to the time limitation. This means that the project can be further extended, where a full scale model can be developed and the electrical control system can be assembled together and mounted inside the Case.

Design and test of SiC circuit board for MIST satellite : KTH Student Satellite MIST

Rosenkvist, Daniel, Eriksson, Johan January 2017 (has links)
This paper describes work related to the “Miniature Student Satellite” (MIST) project and the ”SiC in Space” project, located at KTH, Stockholm, Sweden. The goal of the MIST project is to launch KTH’s first student satellite into space, carrying multiple scientific experiments where SiC in Space is included. This thesis contains a compilation of three MIST-related bachelor theses that were carried out at KTH in the spring of 2016, primarily consisting of constructing and testing circuits for power supply and measurements for the SiC in Space part of the satellite. A printed circuit board has been developed, which accommodates experiment circuits to evaluate the features and functionality of silicon carbide components in a space environment, and power the supply to the SiC in Space and the Piezo LEGS projects. The development includes designing, assembling and testing the PCB according to the MIST team’s demands and requirements. Emphasis has been laid on electrical safety to ensure that the design can not short circuit the satellite battery, as well as EMC considerations to minimize the EMI between different parts of the satellite. Final testing of the hardware has not been executed due to an ordering error and time shortage, wherefore the planned test protocol has been included for future work.

Codes of Interaction

Martin, Timothy Michael 01 January 2005 (has links)
The ideas within this thesis are meant to clarify my explorations, research and painting practice during my studies at Virginia Commonwealth University. I expand on my general statements about being fascinated by advancing technologies and concerned about the after effects of these advancements. The writing explores my curiosity about the internal, skeletal structure of things and how they operate. I explain how the paintings are idiosyncratic hybrids that evoke animation, imaginary scientific propositions, blueprints, maps, and advancing technologies. The work combines these interests with my observations of day-to-day experiences. Isolated events provide found compositions which I then manipulate: a seemingly mundane bike ride gets mapped into a well–ordered schematic of social interaction.

Sistemas EsquemÃticos de DeduÃÃo Natural: um Estudo Prova-TeÃrico / Schematic Natural Deduction Systems: A Proof-Theoretical Study

Alexandre Silva Cavalcante 12 March 2010 (has links)
The term Theory Test was introduced by Hilbert to identify the study of formal proofs. Research in this area can be classified into: a) Proof Theory of reductive or interpretational, whose goal is to demonstrate, among other things, the consistency of mathematics using only methods finitistas, b) Structural Proof Theory, where the structural characteristics of the formal proofs are investigated by means of deductive systems as Natural Deduction and Sequent Calculus. Prawitz through Theory Proof set a Theory of Meaning for constants logics and proposed schematic introduction rules and elimination to characterize the propositional connectives. Schroeder-Heister settings Prawitz extended and formalized the use of rules as hypotheses, making possible the use of separate calculations for assumptions of calculations for logical constants. We are not interested in the investigation of schematic rules to give meaning to the logical constants. We intend to actually set schematic standardization procedures, based on such schematic rules? Attic, in order to identify sufficient conditions for a system to be normalizÃvel. These results are relevant to the Abstract Theory of Evidence, a term used to identify the study of the conditions abstract and general to the proof-theoretical analysis of formal systems. Abstract Theory of Evidence do not study specific logical calculations, but families of calculations instances of rules schematic. Our proposal is therefore based on rules schematic rules can be instantiated for concrete, in particular, by introducing rules modal operators. We prove also theorems NormalizaÃÃoo Weak and Strong systems defined in schematic funÃÃoo schematic of our rules, we obtain sufficient conditions for a system instance is normalizÃvel these rules, we define a procedure that normalizes deductions concrete evidence and compare our standards with evidence schematic standards for systems defined in the literature.

Les modes de poursuite devant les juridictions pénales / The modes of pursuit in the criminal court

Miansoni, Camille 28 May 2018 (has links)
The French criminal justice currently goes through a diversification of cases treatment processes. This diversification is the result of many factors, both endogenous and exogenous. It is the focal point of the evolution in theoretical approaches regarding criminal phenomena, social expectations of an effective criminal justice, and of a new process of justice management. Prosecution choices reflect a logic of criminal policy and also a logic of rationalization of the criminal justice management. The idea of «prosecution choices» becomes a new legal category that articulates the response to criminality. Its theoretical range modifies the approach of the prosecution. The diversification of prosecution choices has consequences on both conception and typology of the criminal trial and on courts organisation. The monolithic criminal trial inherited from the 1808 French code of criminal investigation becomes a more plural trial, with a renewed configuration and multiple purposes. The notion of « orientation schematics » illustrates such evolution. A legislative consideration of this notion would lead to a better structuring of the criminal justice response. The criminal justice system's organization is also affected, as well as the parties situation in the trial. Consultation and delegation mechanisms appeared. The new judicial management builds on this diversification in the prosecution choices. The criminal trial must integrate the digital transformation that should lead to the construction of a digital criminal trial.

: Development of a CAN-adapter in a sensor system for tire pressure monitoring. / Development of a CAN-adapter in a sensor system for tire pressure monitoring.

Ernmark, Niklas January 2017 (has links)
This report describes a degree project at the Royal Institute of Technology. The purpose was to create a unique system solution in which a CAN adapter card (Controller Area Network) was to be integrated with an air pressure monitoring system for heavy duty vehicles. The goal was to present measurement values from valve sensors on a personal computer. The air pressure monitoring system is called J1939 - TPMS and is a finished product. J1939 - TPMS sends CAN-frames to a CAN-bus in J1939 format. These frames are to be read by the adapter card and presented on a terminal program on a personal computer. The job has been to investigate how the J1939 - TPMS system works in detail. The role of the J1939 protocol and its relationship with CAN has been clarified. Also, a detailed description of how J1939 frames are interpreted and how the measuring data TPMS is decoded is done. Principles for how a CAN node works has been clarified. Based on this, a CAN adapter card has been designed. The design has included component selection, design of electronics schema, design of computer cards and development of embedded software. The result was a ready-to-use CAN adapter card tested with J1939-TPMS. Requirements for the project were met. However, more work with the card will be needed to make it a finished product. The work was carried out at Motion Control in Västerås AB in cooperation with Transeco Däckservice (Transeco Tire Service).
