Strömbergsson, Katarina January 2014 (has links)
This essay discusses how popular literature in general and Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight-series in particular can be useful in the classroom, despite, or rather, thanks to, its inherent problems concerning gender roles, relationships and the power systems within them. The essay takes a reader and teacher centered approach in describing both the problems of Twilight and the ways these problems can be worked with in the context of the school subject Swedish in upper secondary school. It makes an inventory of Twilight’s problematic aspects, and attempts to use them in conjunction with the governing documents of the Swedish school system

Andersson, Emma January 2013 (has links)
This study is based on qualitative and hermeneutic methods. The investigation summarises how four textbooks present Buddhism in (school) subject Religion, such as texts and images. Two of them are used in Religious studies A, the rest is used in Religious studies 1. The study rests on the theories of orientalism and christocentrism, where both can be related to the concept of making secondary. In the research background there are descriptions of how the western world looks upon Buddhism in a historical perspective, but also how Buddhism in a modern age is represented. The (school) subject Religion for Religious science A was written in 2008 and the (school) subject Religion for Religious science 1 in 2006 and 2007. In an overview the analysis shows that all of the four textbooks are putting most of the focus in Buddha, the buddhist teaching, monks, nuns and temple life. The buddhist teaching is also more centrally described than the practical concept.

A study of the themes of religion and science in high school textbooks.

Larsson, Kajsa January 2014 (has links)
The following essay aims to determine what textbooks and teaching media educators in the county of Västerbotten use when teaching the relation between religion and science. Based on educational science theory and through analyzes of factual texts, the teaching materials was examined to determine how much focus they put on the thematic of religion and science. The result shows how the different teaching materials affect this thematic differently. The main conclusion is therefore that students in Sweden could, depending on the teaching materials used in their education, be taught by different standards to reach the same requirements.

\"Spanish without bordres\"? Or between the borders projected by the imaginary and the real?

Vieira, Priscila Oliveira 23 July 2012 (has links)
We start this work from the assumption that the Spanish language (SL) is connected to the imaginary in which some statements repeatedly materialize themselves in certain discursive practices in school, giving to this language the status that we carectarize as non academic. According to this, we intend to analyze the senses that compose this imaginary in the school enunciation through an important element in the teaching-learning process: the textbook. To do so, we select as our study central object a SL collection of teaching materials which has expressive presence in primary school in Brazil: the Español sin fronteras (ESF) Spanish without borders collection, released in 1996 and republished in 2002 and 2007, by Scipione publishers. We adopt the French Discourse Analisis theory and, from this perspective, we put the referred collection in relation with its production conditions, in a broad sense; therefore, this analysis also covers the gesture of stablishing relations with senses series constituted in the functioning of discoursive memory about Spanish in Brazil, and in a specific way, referring to its teaching-learning process in school. To develop this analysis, we organize this dissertation in two parts. In the first one, we analyse how the SL signifies in the legal files, in a selection that refers specifically to teaching foreign languages in school and restrictively to the Spanish language. Besides, we identify senses series in the functioning of discoursive memory about SL and we interpret them on basis of introductory texts (paratexts) in certain language instruments, some of what we believe that have also had expressive presence in teaching this language at school between the 1930s and 1980s. In the second part we focus on our central object, the ESF collection, in its republished versions our starting point being its three paratexts (title, covers and introduction) in order to analyse how the SL is (re)signified. Through the study performed in the two first parts we will be able, on the one hand, to observe that in the constitution of the discoursive memory about the Spanish teachinglearning process in Brazil, the senses of informality and being easy have historically predominated; and on the other hand we consider that such senses would allow us to understand why, in the space of school enunciation, even in times in which this language is proclaimed as a vehicular one, it does not affiliate itself to a school subject status and because of that it does not get to occupy the place of a school subject in this space.

Lundkvist, Marcus January 2019 (has links)
This text has the purpose to study how the view on history as a school subject has changedover time and through three different Swedish upper secondary school curricula. The centralquestions of this study are the following: Has the view on history as a teaching subjectchanged over time? How can history didactic be seen in the curriculum? Is there any trace ofinternational didactic traditions in the curriculum, if so, how does it show? This study hasused a qualitative text analysis as the method to answer the central questions, based inprevious research and theories regarding international didactic traditions as well as historydidactics. The study concludes that the view on history as a school subject has changed overtime, and that both international didactic traditions and history didactics can be seen in thecurricula for history.

Sjöstrand, Linda January 2014 (has links)
During my time as a teacher in adult education, I have met many students who have negative experience of studying. Several of them have failed in their previous studies for different reasons, but my experience is that many of these students succeed in adult education. The purpose of this study is to illustrate how adult students view their learning in the subject Swedish and during their current studies in adult education, as well as during their previous studies in primary and secondary school. The method that has been used in this study is a qualitative study based on a phenomenological - hermeneutic approach. The study involves seven students who talk about their experiences when studying Swedish. The results show several differences in those learning experiences that stretch from primary school to adult education. One difference concerns the informants' motivation to school which has changed during school time. It largely depends on the teacher’s support, demands and feedback that students did or didn’t receive during their time at school. Further differences that are highlighted in the results are about environment and study strategies. The informants believe that adult education is better at satisfying an inclusive learning environment that gives them the potential to succeed in their studies. Adult education thus gives the students a recognition that eventually increases their self-esteem. The result also highlights situations that are and have been important for the informants but also situations that impeded their learning. Significant situations involved the use of good study strategies while impeding situations originate in knowledge assessments and judgments that were made on the basis of the informants’ personal characteristics, such as epilepsy.

Through the study of school culture made in a ethnographic perspective and with teacher¿s narratives, the objective of this research is to investigate the discourses produced in the school daily life regarding a possible place (CERTEAU, 1994) to the chemistry subject. This work intends to look for possible evidences of how these discourses are related to the different consumptions of the national curricular proposals at nineties, specifically National Curricular Parameters for the High School of 1999/2000 and the National Curricular Orientations for the High School of 2004/2006 / Mestrado / Ensino e Práticas Culturais / Mestre em Educação
