Gyvensenos veiksnių sąsajų su miego kokybe įvertinimas / Evaluation of the correlation between life style factors and sleep quality

Aim of the study is to evaluate the correlation between life style factors and sleep quality in the group of villagers aged from 35 to 64. Methods: The object of the research was the villagers aged from 35 to 64. The reaserch was carried out by the anonymous dossier survey and data analysis was performed using SPSS 13.0 for Windows. Results: 125 citizens from Endriejavas township, Klaipeda district took part in the research, 74 women (59.2 %) and 51 men (40.8%). The results revealed that the sleep quality of men is much better than those of women (p=0.018): the worst sleep quality is in the age range of women from 45 to 54 (p<0.001), whereas the age range of men with the worst sleep quality is 55-64 (p>0.05). The evaluation of the correlation between life style factors and sleep quality revealed that the respondents who smoke (45.8%) had difficulties falling asleep (p>0.05), those who drink alcohol every day (33.3%) when they wake up at night they can not fall back to sleep (p=0.028). Bad quality of sleep was also determined by drinking coffee and other caffeinated drinks (p=0.006) as well as eating before going to bed (p<0.05). The correlation between sleep quality and respondents’ psychoemotional state was established: those who have many stressful situations (66.7%) (p=0.001) and those who have low self esteem (80%) have bad sleep quality. Burnos higienos raštingumo lygio tyrimas Kauno mieste / Oral hygiene literacy level research in Kaunas

Darbo tikslas - nustatyti ir palyginti Kauno miesto privačiose ir valstybinėse odontologinės sveikatos priežiūros įstaigose besilankančių pacientų burnos higienos raštingumo lygį bei palyginti jį su burnos higienistų funkcijomis. Tyrimo metodika: Tai momentinis tyrimas, kurio metu buvo įvertintas 2 privačiose bei 2 valstybinėse odontologinės sveikatos priežiūros įstaigose pas burnos higienistą apsilankiusių asmenų burnos higienos raštingumo lygis bei burnos higienistų atliekamos funkcijos. Iš viso apklausta 400 respondentų. Duomenų statistinis patikimumas įvertintas χ² testu. Rezultatai: Burnos higienos neraštingumas nustatytas 39 proc. privačiose ir 51,5 proc. valstybinėse odontologinės sveikatos priežiūros įstaigose tirtiems asmenims, funkcinis lygis nustatytas 44 proc. privačiose bei 34,5 proc. valstybinėse, interaktyvusis 14 proc. privačiose ir 12,5 proc. valstybinėse, o kritinis burnos higienos raštingumo lygis vos - 3 proc. privačiose bei 1,5 proc.valstybinėse įstaigose apklaustų respondentų. Kuo dažniau respondentai nurodė, kad juos burnos higienistai „visada“ moko taisyklingos burnos ertmės priežiūros, individualiai pritaiko burnos ertmės priežiūros priemones bei rekomenduoja naudoti papildomas priemones, konsultuoja savo pacientus, informuoja juos apie esamas burnos ertmės organų problemas bei nukreipia pas kitus specialistus, tuo aukštesnis respondentų burnos higienos raštingumo lygis. [toliau žr. visą tekstą] / Aim of the study - was to set and compare the oral hygiene literacy levels of patients in Kaunas private and state dental care institutions. In addittion, the work compares patients‘ oral hygiene literacy level with dental hygienists‘ functions. Methods: It was a cross - sectional survey, which evaluated oral hygiene literacy levels of patients in 2 private and 2 state dental care institutions as well as the functions of dental hygienists. Overall 400 respondents were examined. The statistical significants has been evaluated with χ² test. Results : Oral hygiene illiteracy has been determined for 39 percent in private and 51.5 percent in state dental clinics. Futhermore, functional level can be stated being 44 percent in private and 34.5 percent in state institutions; interactive level 14 percent and 12.5 percent respectively; while critical level is barely - 3 percent in private and 1.5 percent in state sector of questioned respondents. The oral hygiene literacy level correlates highly with dental hygienists‘ functions. The more patients have indicated that the hygienists always teach correct oral hygiene behavior, apply individual means of dental care and recomend using addtional ones, they both consult and inform their patients about present dental problems and redirect them to other dental specialists the higher their oral hygiene literacy level. Šeimos pedagogų vaidmuo sveikatos raštingumo ugdyme / The influence of family pedagogue in the development of health literacy

Viena iš sveiko gyvenimo būdo formavimo veiksnių yra sveikatos raštingumas. Socialinis ugdymas ir pagalba, tame tarpe psichologinė-pedagoginė, šeimoms, auginančioms vaikus, yra viena svarbiausių socialinės apsaugos krypčių. Tokios veiklos svarba yra neabejotina, siekiant užtikrinti visapusišką vaikų gyvenimą dabar ir ateityje: tinkamą buitį, socialinį-psichologinį saugumą, auklėjimą ir kt. Darbo tikslas: atskleisti visuomenės požiūrį į šeimos pedagogo vaidmenį vaiko sveikatos raštingumo ugdyme. Uždaviniai: 1. Nustatyti visuomenės požiūrį į šeimos pedagogo poreikį. 2. Atskleisti visuomenės nuomonę apie šeimos pedagogo specializacijų poreikį. 3. Įvertinti visuomenės požiūrį į šeimos pedagogo vaidmenį sveikatos raštingumo ugdyme. Tyrimo metodika. Duomenų surinkimui pasirinktas metodas – anketinė šeimų, auginančių vaikus apklausa. Respondentų (šeimų, auginančių vaikus) atrankai naudotas prieinamų atvejų būdas. Siekiant išsiaiškinti šeimos pedagogų poreikį bei jų vaidmenį sveikatos raštingumo ugdyme buvo apklausta 126 šeimų atstovai. Iš jų 80,2 proc. sudarė moterys ir 19,8 proc. – vyrai, 54,8 proc. miesto ir 45,2 proc. rajono tipo gyvenviečių ir kaimo gyventojai. Respondentų amžiaus vidurkis 38,9 metai (standartinė paklaida (SD) - 0,7 metai). Jauniausias asmuo buvo 24, vyriausias – 65 metų amžiaus. Tyrime dalyvavę respondentai augino nuo 1 iki 5 vaikų. Social education and assistance including psychological-pedagogical aid for families with children becomes one of the most significant approaches to social security. The importance of a certain activity is undeniable, especially in order to ensure children’s everyday life now and in future: proper household, social-psichological safety, education, etc. Aim of the study. The aim of research is to reveal the public attitude towards the influence of the family pedagogue in the development of health literacy. Tasks: 1. To determine the public attitude towards the demand of the family pedagogue. 2. To reveal the public attitude towards the demand of specializations of the family pedagogue. 3. To estimate the public attitude towards the influence of the family pedagogue in the development of health literacy. Methods. Questionnaire poll, which was filled in by families having children. This method allows selecting large amount of data. A survey covering the opinion of 126 families’ was carried out, in order to ascertain the influence of the family pedagogue in the health literacy education. 80,2 % of the respondents were women and 19,8 % – men. 54,8 % respondents were from urban and 45,2 % from rural areas. Gyvensenos veiksnių poveikis kolegijos studentų gebėjimui atgauti fizines ir dvasines jėgas / The influence of life style factors on the resiliency of college students

Aim of the study. To analyze the impact of the factors influencing the mode of life on student resiliency. Methods. This work was carried out by analyzing scientific references. The anonymous questionnaire was also used to carry out the survey. The data received was processed using the statistics processing program SPSS 13.0 for windows. Results. The questionnaire survey of the first year full time students of Kaunas College was carried out. The survey included 382 students (129 male and 253 female). The received data showed that 34.8% of students think that resiliency depends on the influence of other people, 27.8% of students think that it depends on the environment and 16.5% identified that resiliency depends on personal characteristics. In order to regain resiliency the respondents usually use passive methods such as watching TV, listening to the music, communicating with friends. The majority of the respondents (66.7% male and 75.9% female) indicated that they either often or very often feel tired. After the analysis of the results the statistically valid connection between the experienced tiredness and nutritional habits, time allocated for sleeping, rest and entertainment has been observed (p<0.05). While assessing the psychological feelings of students in the learning environment we observed that 53.4% of students often feel peer support, 60% of students are successful in solving conflicts.
