Narrative efficiency and the transmission of patterns of life : an anthroposemiotic analysis of autopoiesis in ritualised practice.

Brun, Jean-Louis 22 November 2017 (has links)
How does the interpretation of a canonical text by its conversion into a gestural practice allow the diachronic persistence of a community’s pattern of life and the adoption of this pattern of life by the members of this community? This research is grounded in the participant observation of two ritualised practices: Karatedo and Free-masonry, more precisely on their « thick description » according to Clifford Geertz. From the data provided by these descriptions, the construction of a model makes use of the canonical formula of myth by Claude Lévi-Strauss, of the institution of certainty according to Mary Douglas and of the concept of « instauration » by Etienne Souriau. The resulting model describes a process based on the succession of space-times articulating text and practice, a persuasive syntagm of modalities and the instauration of a semiotic world on the basis of a proto-semiotic world provided by the ritualised practice. This process converts the substance of the signifier according to a consistency and that of the signified according to a congruency, thus resulting in the transmission of the pattern of life. This process has the properties of an autopoietic system, according to the theoretical concept named as such by Maturana and Varela.

The heroic mythology is here taken as a key to clarify the questions related to identity. It is possible by making use of the term myth , in the sense adopted by authors, members of the Circle of Eranos, that is to say, as a tool to clarify the construction of artistic identity. It is presented a review of authors that considers the myth as a cultural truth, with great importance to the comprehension of society. After that, a study of case is developed, about the brazilian artist Leonilson, his talks and the texts of critics and the media. In this way is expected to find in the contemporary discourse about the figure of artist, the currently manifested expectance concerning his role on culture through heroic mythology / O foco desta dissertação é identificar o mito heróico como ponto de referência na construção da identidade artística, tendo no estudo da mitologia heróica a chave para clarificar as questões da identidade.

There are three main religious denominations Potiguara: the traditional indigenous, Catholic and evangelical. The first aspect is passed from father to son, from time immemorial (the benzedras, strong prayers, hymns and toré) believe and revere the spirits of the forests, waterfalls, caves and ancient. The Indian Catholic, which has its foundations in Christianity, but with an ability to reframe recreation and permanent. And the indigenous evangelical, which is based on belief, grounded in Christian worship to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, but with a "certain" openness to the practices of traditional indigenous religion. We present three separate religious dimensions, just as a didactic way, because in everyday life, they interact with each other, with a very dynamic religious aspect and every church has its doors open to receive members of the various sectors, no religious boundaries between existinto Potiguara. Our way of "mine" was so ethnographic, being present (place) in many moments of ritual. We chose the participant observation methodology because past rituals, there are different interpretations of the stories of indigenous participation in that religious context. We avail ourselves of some theorists, such as: Barcellos, Borau, Cruz Neto, Grunewald, Hoornaert, Eliade, Palitot Vilhena, among others, to support our writing from the data collected in the research field. It is inconceivable in Indian Potiguara as devoid of any creed. Atheist? Agnostic? Religiosity is indigenous in DNA, because the worship and reverence is part of your life and can not separate themselves from each other, like the body without the blood, can not exist, so the indigenous Potiguara without devotional creed hath not life.

On the investigation, we contemplated the live tree and the human worked tree in its creative interventions. We tried, through bibliographic research, to develop the objectives: to describe, to analyze and to interpret the images of the tree and also to analyze symbolically and mythologically the influence of the symbol on the judaicchristian culture. We consider that the symbol of the tree runs through the realm of the imaginary and reveals itself as female archetype, of cosmic verticality, and, also, brings the myths as the regress to the womb, the creation, the paradise, the new rebirth, and others that in the judaic-christian culture answers to the questioning and appeases the existence.

In this scenario, Batman, hero of the comics, stands out in popularity and brings in one of the most well-known brands in pop culture and most valued of the cultural industry. However, in order to understand the representative strength of the character as a brand, it is necessary, first, to analyze the journey of the character, from its creation, to the media in which it is published, as well as the planned associations of Develop the narratives of the adventures of the hero, completely based on the concepts and mythical characteristics that form this type of character.
