We age through body and soul, and what defines us as equals also distances us for its oneness. This research was grounded under the theoretical references of Gerontology and Art Therapy, it had a qualitative approach from the utilization of theoretical model of Expressive Therapies Continuum (ETC) based on the systematization of the work experience developed in 2010 at the Ana Pedroso de Toledo - Elderly Community Services Association (ASCI), Civil Society Organization of Public Interest (OSCIP), placed at Cotia municipality in São Paulo State. The data was obtained from the researcher s observation during the Art Therapy sessions, containing the work prepared by the research subjects, from the relationship between therapist/client/group carried out during that time. In this investigation the Art Therapeutic activity was presented as a creative function as well as a learning point, its application and the perceptions that occurred in the ageing process. The experiences were carried out in two groups. The group was composed by 12 elderly people, between 70 to 91 years of age, and presented through out the acting characteristics of each group and sex. The groups relived their life phases, being able to point out their own experiences, seeking for new meanings to incorporate into the current moment of their lives. In this path of systematization, besides the contribution to the Art-therapy with methodological subsidies, the Art-therapeutic process was unveiled as a moving care for Day Community Associations for Elderly People, showing as a feasible program for resignification and consequently a possibility to give new life meanings for our increasingly elongated existence. The Art therapeutic work through the representation of each ones subjective individuality can also provide consciousness rising as well as rescuing the perception of will / Muito mais do que as múltiplas características que são próprias da velhice, o sujeito em seu envelhecer traz experiências que lhe são únicas.

Storia di un viaggio: valutazione multistrumentale del processo analitico in uno studio single-case / Story of a journey: multi-tool evaluation of the analytic process in a single-case design.

PEPE, NOEMI LUCREZIA 21 February 2013 (has links)
The therapeutic process of a psychodynamic psychotherapy is evaluated through a single-case design. The patient, a 26-year-old man with Anaclitic Depression (as defined by Blatt, 2003) was followed on a weekly based therapy for one year. The factors that contribute to determine the therapeutic process are investigated in the context of the patient's personality assessment. The objective is to show how it is possible to obtain, using tools such as the DMRS, the SWAP, the CALPAS, the CT-Q, the PRQ and the CCRT, an assessment that is not limited only to the symptomatic change, in this case depressive, but provides a more multifaceted view of the intrapsychic and interpersonal transformations related to the therapeutic process, incorporating the macroanalytic evaluation of changement, derived from the global scores of the instruments, to the micro-analytic evaluation of the variables.

Möller, Jannalien Helena January 2012 (has links)
The changed appearance as a result of burns for a child in middle childhood years has several implications in terms of its physical, emotional, and social development. It seems that the burnt child in middle childhood years can benefit from therapeutic assistance, and specifically, empowerment. As far as the researcher could determine, Gestalt play therapy has not yet been utilized for this purpose nor has there been research done in connection to this. For the purpose of this study, the value of the Gestalt play therapy process, as described by Oaklander, in empowering the burn victim in the middle childhood years is explored and described. Consultations with experts as well as a literature review was undertaken in order to obtain background information about the Gestalt play therapy process, with specific reference to the empowerment aspect as well as the implications of the burn wounds and burn marks on the burn victim in the middle childhood years. The literature studied produced a theoretical framework within which this study was performed. Following the literature review, an empirical investigation into Gestalt play therapy was used, with the focus on empowerment. A qualitative study was conducted with a single case study as data collection method. For the duration of the empirical study, 17 therapeutic sessions were conducted with the participant, within the framework of qualitative research investigation. Data collected was described, analysed, and verified through a literature study. This study came to the conclusion that the Gestalt play therapy process is valuable in the empowerment of a burn victim in middle childhood years. It was particularly the therapeutic relationship and the elements that focused on the strengthening of the self, which was valuable in empowering the participant. The information is described in an article according to the guidelines for the Social Work/Maatskaplike Werk journal entitled: “Empowerment of a burn victim through the Gestalt play therapy process”. Various elements are discussed respectively as used in the case study to empower the child. Section A provides an introduction and explanation of the study, which includes the rationale and problem statement for the study and research methodology. The article that followed, is discussed in Section B. Conclusions and recommendations that arose from this study are discussed in Section C. Section D contains the compiled bibliography, and appendices are in Section E. / Thesis (MA (Psychology))--North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2013.

Närvaro på distans : psykodynamiska terapeuters erfarenhet av att övergå till att bedriva terapi på distans / Presence at a distance : psychodynamic therapists’experiences of transitioning to distance therapy

Callenberg, Josefine January 2021 (has links)
Introduction: Even though distance therapy has been shown to be effective across a range of measures and increases access many psychotherapists still remain sceptic to the format.   Aim: By examining how psychodynamic psychotherapists experience transitioning to distance therapy as regards the therapeutic process this study results in a contribution to the understanding of the continuing scepticism among therapists.  Method: A qualitative, phenomenological study of semi-structured interviews with five psychotherapists using thematic analysis.  Result: Two themes are identified: Presence and A new situation with two and four subthemes respectively: enabling and lamented; bodily communication, demarcation, therapeutic frame and preoccupation. Discussion: Due to preoccupation presence understood as a relational quality of emotional, cognitive and functional availability could be continually lamented in distance therapy. The discussion results in a model showing that if a certain therapeutic technique, feeling in the room or therapeutic role is an underlying intention in the therapeutic process preoccupation will continue to be a factor in distance therapy encounters. Increased knowledge as regards therapists´ intentions in the therapeutic process is forwarded as a key factor to further acceptance of the distance therapy format.

Loeck, Jardel Fischer January 2009 (has links)
Since the half of the twentieth century mutual help groups such as Narcotics Anonymous have been establishing themselves as a valid therapeutic alternative for people who develop the "chemical dependence" syndrome. Emerging as a dissidence of Alcoholics Anonymous, these groups apply a pragmatic interpretation of the "addiction" concept to name that disease and classify it as incurable; they say that only the symptoms can be controlled. This way, their therapeutic approach is based on the total abstinence of any psychoactive substance use and in a set of ethical, spiritual and subjective principles that must be followed by the members with the objective of "living the recovery" through a radical change of subjective engagement in the world. This work's universe of research is the Narcotics Anonymous' network in the city of Porto Alegre. Inside this empirical universe one of the research's objectives is to demonstrate, by the presentation of four life stories of this networks' participants, that the category "Narcotics Anonymous' member" is less homogeny than it apparent to be; there is some space to instrumental appropriation of this symbolic universe and also to the preservation of subjective particularities in the process of incorporating this identity. Another objective is to discuss the implications of using the "addiction" category as a synonymous of incurable disease. Finally, this research presents an ethnographic description of the groups' meetings as composed by a rigid ritual structure, but which also preserves moments of interaction and symbol dissemination that lie "outside from the ritual".

PROJETO TERAPÊUTICO SINGULAR (PTS): AS PERCEPÇÕES DOS TRABALHADORES DE UM CENTRO DE ATENÇÃO PSICOSSOCIAL ÁLCOOL E DROGAS (CAPS ad) / SINGULAR THERAPEUTIC PROJECT (STP): PERCEPTIONS OF WORKERS IN A PSYCHOSOCIAL ALCOHOL AND DRUGS CARE CENTER (CAPS ad)

Cadore, Carlise 29 August 2012 (has links)
The Health and Psychiatric Reform movements in Brazil triggered transformations in theoretical and practical model of mental health care. These changes enabled the expansion of the concept of health / disease process, the creation of public policies, the implementation of a network of services replacing psychiatric hospitals, including the CAPS and the development of new strategies for health intervention. Therefore, these changes suggest a series of challenges to the practice of workers in health services, especially with regard to care and care for people in psychological distress, using as a framework the assumptions of the fields of Public Health and Mental Health. So the overall goal of this research was to describe and analyze how health workers of a Psychosocial Alcohol and Drugs Care Center (CAPS ad), build, lead and propose therapeutic processes of users in that service. It interested us especially to understand how in this process the development of Singular Therapeutic Projects (STP) occurs. From this perspective, considering that the therapeutic process is conducted in a CAPS resulting from conceptions and modes of action of different workers who make up the staff of such services, justified the choice of the theme by the need to describe and analyze the actions of these health workers as a way to discuss their practice, pointing out the obstacles and difficulties in the construction and conduct of therapeutic processes, as well as point out possible solutions to these issues. Thus, an exploratory-descriptive survey was conducted, with qualitative approach. For data collection, interviews were conducted semi-structured with seven workers of different specialties working in CAPS ad. Data analysis was performed according to thematic analysis proposed by Minayo. The results demonstrate that the conceptions of workers in relation to the therapeutic process are consistent with the principles and guidelines of the Psychiatric Reform and the Current Mental Health Policy and the construction of the Singular Therapeutic Project (STP), generally occurs according to the proposal of the Ministry of Health. We believe that STP could be used in the searched service as a production strategy of health care.
