The diploma work deals with the destination management of Pilsen region. First part of my work describes the theoretical solutions. The diploma work continues with collection and analysis of primary and secondary date. In this part is possible to find the informations about conditions for development of tourism, about the methods of marketing diversification of pilsen tourist region, there are the organization of destination management of Pilsen region and the individual activities executing with this organization. The following part is considering with evaluation of gathered informations, recapitulates activities executing within destination management of Pilsen region and inquire current controling of destination.The diploma work also offers a group of steps for improvement of destination controling of Pilsen region as an important destination of tourism.

Geocaching pohledem trvale udržitelného rozvoje / Geocaching in relation to sustainable development

This thesis is focused on relation between geocaching and sustainable development. It deals with this relation on basis of approach of geocachers to cache-making and on basis of state of caches in different areas. Approach of geocachers to cache-making tests by semi-structured interviews analyzed by Grounded theory and by internet data analysis. State of caches in different areas tests map data analysis. Outcome shows rather positive relation of geocaching and sustainable development. Strong points of the game are in positive influence on sustaining and shift of memory of places, increasing place atractivity and partly environmetal education. Study can be beneficial for instance for protected natural areas administration, public administration or administration of destination management of areas. Scientific benefit of this thesis lies in surveying this theme and creating basis for next research. In the introductory part there are described theoretical solutions of thesis, first of all essence of the management and marketing of destination, touristic products and product creation. In the second part there are realized analysis, which are focused on evaluate of current destination condition, including analysis of touristic demand and comparison with the biggest competitors. Closing part is dealing with the design of the products, which should make touristic destinations more attractive.

Abstract in English, Afrikaans and Zulu / Tourism generates foreign currency and employment, and proper planning and management benefits the community and environment upon which tourism depends. The study investigated the management of sustainable action plans at selected nature-based attractions in Botswana, namely; Gaborone Game Reserve, Khutse Game Reserves, and Mokolodi Nature Reserve. Purposive, convenience and snowball sampling yielded 25 respondents for semi-structured interviews. Findings highlighted that sustainable action plans, like recycling and engaging local labour, were managed and implemented to a small extent. The conclusions were that the full potential of sustainable action plans management needed to be fully explored. The study recommends government enforcement of policies, master plans and strategies for management of sustainable action plans in nature-based attractions; and decentralisation of public nature-based attractions to allow managers full management of sustainable action plans. Government and private sector should fund management of all nine sustainable action plans, and implement a holistic tourism strategy to retain the quality of tourists’ experiences. / Ezokuvakasha zidala imali yangaphandle kanye nomsebenzi, nokuhlelwa kahle nokuphathwa kahle komphakathi kanye nemvelo lapho ezokuvakasha zincike khona. Die studie het die bestuur van volhoubare aksieplanne by geselekteerde natuurgebaseerde besienswaardighede in Botswana, naamlik die Gaborone, Khutse en Mokolodi Natuurreservate, ondersoek. Doelbewuste, gerief- en sneeubalsteekproefneming het 25 respondente vir semigestruktureerde onderhoude opgelewer. Volgens die bevindings, is volhoubare aksieplanne soos herwinning en die gebruik van plaaslike arbeid, tot ’n mate bestuur en geïmplementeer. Die gevolgtrekking was dat die volle potensiaal van volhoubare aksieplanbestuur verken moet word. Die studie het regeringstoepassing van beleide, meesterplanne en strategieë aanbeveel vir die bestuur van volhoubare aksieplanne in natuurgebaseerde besienswaardighede; en die desentralisasie van openbare natuurgebaseerde besienswaardighede om bestuurders toe te laat om hierdie planne ten volle te bestuur. This diploma thesis focuses on the application of system thinking and its methods to the issues of decision making within destination management and its organizations. The main aim of the thesis was to create a model to support decision making of destination management organization and to plan sustainable and responsible tourism development in the destination. A partial aim was to create a simplified model in which a simulation of the given system was performed. This aim has been applied to the destination of Cesky Krumlov. The contribution of the work is to find optimal decisions, policies and individual processes in order to assess the subsequent impacts and manage the development of tourism destination towards sustainability.

A economia do conhecimento é caracterizada pela tecnologia da informação, pela competitividade acirrada e a valorização do conhecimento como estratégia competitiva. Tais fatores representam novas características da sociedade trazendo diversos desafios para a sustentabilidade de todas as organizações. Para a educação superior, os desafios são ainda mais evidentes. O posicionamento estratégico de mercado que os cursos de Turismo devem adotar para inserir-se nas necessidades da sociedade atual, é questão de suma importância. Esta pesquisa versa sobre este tema, se o curso superior de Turismo, objeto da pesquisa, tem suas estratégias formuladas para superar os desafios para posicionar o mesmo no mercado competitivo. Neste sentido, desenvolve-se um referencial teórico sob o enfoque da economia do conhecimento, do ambiente, estrutura e cultura organizacional, e das estratégias de posicionamento. O estudo finaliza evidenciando que o curso em estudo, mesmo aceitando as exigências da economia do conhecimento, pouco lança mão de recursos estratégicos para posicionar-se no mercado. This study makes evident, the course, which is being analyzed, in spite of the requests made by knowlege technology, has a weak use of strategy resources, which ranks it the market. The relationship among people and the bureaucratic connections are also evaluated in regard to the dynamics of organizationsin the Tourism course.
