Software pro tvorbu rozvrhů / Software for Design of Timetables

Bureš, Jan January 2015 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to design a software for elementary, middle and high schools, which will serve to create alternative timetables for staff substitutions. There are similarly oriented programs, but most schools don't use them. These programs contain many flaws, which are also discussed in this work. Creating substitution schedules is complicated, and a lot of conditions must be taken care of. Checking of all the conditions should be the main advantage of the application. Design and implementation of the application is based on requirements by a school, where substitution timetables are produced manually. Great emphasis is placed on user friendliness and ease of use.

Weber, Paul 01 May 2017 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is the development and implementation of a GUI for testing interactions between different process parameters in the deep drawing of fibre based materials such as paper and cardboard. After an investigation of the process of deep drawing and its modelling, the elaboration of principles of the creation and the design of the GUI follows. The main focus concentrates in particular on the type of input of numerical parameters and the visualization of information. Based on the findings from the research, the layout of the GUI is created. To this end, all requirements that can be posed on the user interface are combined. Known assumptions for the modelling of the deep drawing process are used from reliminary work. Thus, within the program code of the interface, the punch force profile during deep drawing is generated with its characteristic values. These characteristic values are displayed in a selected presentation form on the user's surface. A comparison with the characteristic values of a reference in the presentation allows a statement about the quality of the drawing part to be produced. After the implementation of the GUI the potentials for further development are finally disclosed.

Genus & gränssnitt : En kvalitativ studie om hur stereotypiskt könskodad design påverkar användares upplevelser. / Exploring Visual Effects of Stereotypically Gender-Coded Design in Interfaces : A qualitative study

Määttä, Ellen January 2022 (has links)
Gender defines the social sex of humans and permeates society through the conceptions, ideas and actions associated with men and women respectively. Perceptions of gender are created and maintained by gender systems, which are designed to produce stereotypes. Nowadays, however, more genders than the stereotypical exists, which should be taken into consideration when designing. Still, until today, gender stereotypes such as boys liking blue and girls liking pink are applied throughout all design fields, which means they also affect the visual design of graphic user interfaces. Visual design of user interfaces and experience are important parts of the interaction design field. Therefore, the purpose of this bachelor’s thesis was to explore stereotypically gendered design in the visual design of user interfaces, and how this affects the users' experience. The aesthetic design attributes that the research study examined in more detail in relation to the users' experience were color, typography, and images For this, a qualitative study was conducted, where data was collected through individual semi-structured interviews from three purposively selected designers and a focus group discussion with three purposively selected users. The collected data was analyzed thematically to conclude to four themes. These four themes represent the research findings, which were discussed with the help of relevant literature, including the theory of Self Determination. The research findings show that the informants’ experiences are influenced by stereotypically gendered color, typography and imagery in the design of graphical user interfaces by, first of all, identifying designs as either stereotypically femininely or masculine gendered. The informants react both positively and negatively to the stereotypically gendered design in various different ways. They also experience and testify that the stereotypically gender-coded design contributes to the exclusion of women, men and other marginalized genders. The research findings indicate that users' experiences of and attitudes towards stereotypically gendered user interfaces are predominantly negative and, thus, it can be argued that visual design of user interfaces generally benefits from being gender neutral. The outcome of this bachelor's thesis research contributes theoretically by adding a qualitative perspective into gender research in the research areas of interaction design and human-computer interaction, which currently lacks both breadth and depth. The study also provides practical information on users' design preferences that can be used by designers and developers, among other interested stakeholders.

Kljakic, Danijel, Carlsson, Pontus January 2015 (has links)
User interfaces can look different on different Android devices and it is difficult to tailor anapplication to all Android devices. The goal with this project was to develop a tool that canuse a correct image of a user-interface and find differences in other images taken from otherAndroid devices. A tool was developed from scratch and it proved accurate in most cases. The tool could both find differences and report how large the difference was.

WordHunch : Arkitektur och design av en androidapplikation / WordHunch : Architecture and design of an android application

Nadafan, Mohammadreza January 2015 (has links)
This project creates a user interface and architecture for Tweakers HB. The architecture and design will be used to create a word based game. The project is a smaller part of an even larger project which is a client-server android application. The client will be created from the architecture designed in this project. The user interface design and the solutions presented will make up the view. The architecture has been designed with Astah Community Edition and documented with Microsoft Word 2013. The model that was chosen for this application is the well-known MVC pattern which was slightly reconfigured to be fitting for this application. The user interface has been developed with Eclipse, Extreme programming and test-driven development. Plugins which are essential for the developement have been downloaded via Eclipse. The design of the user interface was mostly created with Photoshop but also with the help of android sdk tools. All of the requirements were well tested and successfully met. The design is not only beautiful but also simple and easy to navigate. This has been confirmed by the testers who have been following the project and providing constant feedback.
